KYB Ch 10
by LuluThen, as if breaking the silence, the once-quiet guild chat exploded with messages.
(Guild) LeaveTheHealToMeButIDon’tRemember: $#!+!! Holy sh—$#!+!!
(Guild) WhiteKimchi: Gasp;;; Gasp;;;;;; GASP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Guild) ITrustCactus: Dragon Knight’s that strong?
(Guild) LifeIsSolo: $#!+$#!+$#!+Justice always wins $#!+$#!+$#!+$#!+
Ye Woo-won was slightly surprised by the flood of chat that came as if on cue.
(Guild) Jinhee: Oh, Kise-nim got beaten lol
(Guild) BlowOnMyBooBoo: lol isn’t this the first time he’s ever lost?
When did so many people gather?
‘Was I that focused……?’
He hadn’t even expected the guildmates to crowd in like this.
The first to rush over to Ye Woo-won was the Dwarf player, KongKang.
(Guild) HouseParty: Based on my analysis, that skill was the Dragon Knight’s stun[1] skill, correct? Since it doesn’t work on Apostles, most Dragon Knights don’t use it. It’s also inefficient in PVP… This is the first time I’ve seen a high-level Dragon Knight build a skill tree like this. It’s an honor.
(Guild) Nyamnyangi: Ugh, who invite HouseParty to come again.
Even while reading HouseParty’s wall of text, players were jumping and spamming cute emojis to celebrate Ye Woo-won’s victory.
After a long silence, the guild master, no.10, finally spoke in chat.
Among the crowded players, even though no.10’s character showed no visible expression, Ye Woo-won couldn’t shake the feeling that no.10 looked pale and stiff, as if frozen.
‘I should revive him first.’
Ye Woo-won approached Kisekki, who was still lying next to him, and clicked Revive.
(Guild) LeaveTheHealToMeButIDon’tRemember: Yeah, if it were me, I’d leave him there! lol
(Guild) ^Card^: the forever-single’s grudge (shocked)
(Guild) ITrustCactus: Card-nim lol?
(Guild) ^Card^: the forever-single’s grudge2
While the guild chat continued buzzing, Kisekki’s character revived thanks to Ye Woo-won’s help. He stood up without a word. Just stood there, unmoving. Even the noisy crowd began to quiet down, sensing the tension.
‘Is he going to attack?’
Ye Woo-won focused on Kisekki’s movements, ready to cast a defensive skill at any moment. After all, they were still inside a PVP Zone. Kisekki still said nothing, but his weapon never lied.
‘He’s moving.’
Kisekki’s Death Scythe rose in a curve, ready to strike.
‘This time, I’ll focus on defense—’
At that time…
Bang!
Before Ye Woo-won could act, someone else declared Kisekki as their target.
no.10 has marked Kisekki as a target!
At some point, no.10 had floated up in the air, holding a long sniper rifle, tears streaming down her face. A red laser point from the tip of her gun aimed directly at Kisekki’s head. Kisekki turned his gaze from Yewoo Beomjeol to no.10.
Even though it was just an avatar, the murderous tension made it feel like Kisekki could fly up any second and snap no.10’s neck. Sensing the chill in Kisekki’s glare, no.10 stammered like someone in a seizure.
(Guild) Jinhee: Our guild master crying but still saying everything he wants..😭
(Guild) Nyamnyangi: ???: Are you done crying? 😭 Let’s get back to work😭
(Guild) BlowOnMyBooBoo: Guild master.. You could swear like that, too?
(Guild) WhiteKimchi: lololololol yeah😭 only at Kise-nim..😭;
Ye Woo-won relaxed his grip on the mouse. Since Kisekki was now target-marked by no.10, he couldn’t fight Ye Woo-won anyway.
(Guild) ^Card^: Chef, make mine Zero Coke.
(Guild) Jinhee: Somebody stop these people…
(Guild) HouseParty: Since Necromancer and Sniper rarely meet in PVP, this will be quite a rare sight.
But even after a long wait, Kisekki didn’t move—only glared at no.10. After a tense standoff, Kisekki’s gaze shifted toward Yewoo Beomjeol.
‘Hm?’
Since no.10 had already marked him, no one else could join the fight. But as Ye Woo-won pondered this, Kisekki suddenly walked straight up to where Yewoo Beomjeol’s character stood idly.
“…?”
The small Necromancer barely reached his chest. Kisekki stared quietly at Yewoo Beomjeol’s avatar, then typed:
(Guild) no.10: Kiseh— hey you;;
Though avatars had no facial expressions, somehow—
Ye Woo-won swore he could feel the face of the player who used Kisekki’s avatar twisting with rage.
With that notification, Kisekki’s avatar vanished.
(Guild) KongKang: (dejected)
(Guild) LeaveTheHealToMeButIDon’tRemember: Yeah sigh.. I wanted to see that head pop from a sniper shot
(Guild) WhiteKimchi: gasp; what a shamee..
The guild was deeply disappointed that the PVP never happened.
(Guild) Nyamnyangi: Geez, that was wild again today;;
(Guild) Nyamnyangi: Guild master, you okay?;;
Come to think of it—was no.10 really okay?
Looking up, Ye Woo-won saw no.10’s avatar slowly descending from the air. The sniper’s carefully customized face looked cold, almost emotionless. Her jet black outfit made her avatar look even more frigid. Maybe that’s why, outwardly, no.10 seemed completely calm.
But it was all an illusion.
(Guild) no.10: 😭😭😭😭HowCouldNoneOfYouu😭😭😭stop him😭😭😭😭😭😭
(Guild) no.10: I almost got my head chopped offffff😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
(Guild) ITrustCactus: S…sorry;;
(Guild) DPSdrop: But…
(Guild) Nyamnyangi: I was terrified…
(Guild) Jinhee: He’s too scary😭😭…
(Guild) LifeIsSolo: Me too… Kise-nim is just…
no.10 kept spamming crying emojis, clearly panicking.
Was everyone this scared just because they didn’t PVP often? Ye Woo-won checked no.10’s PVP Rank.
‘Rank 1?’
A Rank 1 in PVP rating meant she had tons of victories in the arena.
And most of the people spamming 😭😭 were Rank 1 as well. Well, maybe that’s expected of the second-highest ranked guild on the server.
‘Then are they really afraid of him?’
What kind of reputation did Kisekki have in this guild?
Ye Woo-won carefully approached the sobbing guild master. It wasn’t the best time to ask, but he felt he’d lose his chance if he didn’t.
(Guild) no.10: 😭Huh…?😭
(Guild) Yewoo Beomjeol: Does this mean I can’t join the guild?
(Guild) no.10: ..What?😭😭😭
(Guild) Jinhee: Wait;?.. is he leaving..?
(Guild) DPSdrop: Smart young man…
While the guild murmured, no.10 suddenly jumped to her feet.
(Guild) Yewoo Beomjeol: Huh? No, that’s not what I meant.
Ye Woo-won blinked.
(Guild) no.10: ..😭😭? What inter…view…
(Guild) Nyamnyangi: omg no way
(Guild) Yewoo Beomjeol: Wasn’t beating Kisekki-nim my guild interview?
At that moment, Ye Woo-won could sense it. The guild chat—and even the entire Guild Territory—fell into icy silence. He, too, finally realized something was wrong.
(Guild) no.10: We don’t have any entrance interviews😭
(Guild) no.10: What kind of psycho😭smashes a newcomer’s skull as soon as they join 😭and calls it an interview😭😭😭!!
But it was already too late.
