PV Ch.14 Part 1
by Aoi#14. Full-Scale Competition
Song Jaeho’s mischievous grin could almost be mistaken for innocence. The utter lack of malice in his expression as he spoke made Bomin scoff internally.
Look at him, playing the innocent card.
It wasn’t that Bomin was planning to forgive Han Biseong and Yoon Bisam easily. However, he was the one who should decide when and how to end those relationships, not Song Jaeho.
Song Jaeho was more cunning than he appeared. Bomin’s resolve wavered for a moment when Song Jaeho nuzzled his ear and gazed up at him with feigned sweetness.
“I’ll take care of it.”
Bomin cupped Song Jaeho’s face, placing a light kiss on his lips. His eyes held a knowing glint that rivaled Song Jaeho’s own.
Song Jaeho pouted. He could sense, deep down, that Bomin had no intention of abandoning Han Biseong and Yoon Bisam.
“Still, thank you. It seems like I have you to thank for everything good that happens to me.”
Bomin trailed a hand down Song Jaeho’s neck, his touch lingering at the nape. He rubbed his hips against Song Jaeho’s hardening c*ck.
With a full stomach and a brief respite from being manhandled, Bomin was feeling much better.
Currently, he was clad only in Song Jaeho’s oversized shirt. A large hand slipped under the fabric, a thumb tracing slow circles around his navel before trailing upwards towards his chest.
The insistent ringing of the doorbell cut through the air, interrupting them before things could go further. Even though the entrance was a considerable distance from the dining room, the sound was crystal clear.
“It’s Kim Seohun.”
Bomin got off of Song Jaeho’s lap. Song Jaeho reached out as if to stop him, but Bomin silenced him with a quick peck on the fingertips, leaving Song Jaeho no choice but to let go.
The doorbell continued to ring as Bomin made his way to the front door, his steps picking up pace.
“Bomin-ah…!”
Bomin bit back a laugh at the sight that greeted him. Kim Seohun was prone to getting puffy, especially around his eyes, whenever he cried.
And it looked like he had been crying a lot. His normally cute face was a mess. Bomin opened his arms wide, and Kim Seohun practically threw himself into them.
Kim Seohun might have been smaller than most Espers, but he was still bigger than Bomin. The impact of his weight, combined with his sobs, nearly knocked Bomin off his feet.
“You’re such a crybaby.”
“Hhhnnggg… I-I was so worried…”
Ignoring Bomin’s teasing, Kim Seohun buried his face in the crook of his neck, overcome with relief at having finally found him.
“Let’s not stand here. Come on in.”
The truth was, Bomin was starting to feel sleepy from his large meal. Kim Seohun, radiating warmth from crying so much, felt like the perfect pillow.
“B-But this is… Esper Song Jaeho’s room…”
“It is.”
“Let’s go to my place.”
He had once been jealous of Bomin for monopolizing the S-rank Espers. Now, he found himself envious of the S-rank Esper trying to monopolize Bomin.
He looked up at Bomin, eyes filled with determination.
“That’s not going to happen. Lee Bomin is staying in my room for the time being. Unless he wants to leave on his own accord.”
Song Jaeho, who had been silently observing them, intervened. Bomin’s room was still under renovation.
He had specifically requested that it be fixed as slowly as possible, making sure to add that Bomin shouldn’t be assigned a new room.
“Lee Bomin, aren’t you comfortable here? You can use this place as your own.”
“Yes, it’s comfortable.”
Bomin wasn’t picky. However, after living in Jeong Hotae’s spacious apartment, smaller spaces felt suffocating.
And as promised, Song Jaeho wasn’t overly bothersome. He made sure Bomin was well-fed, and his presence acted as a deterrent against the others. It was like having a personal bodyguard.
“Bomin-ah…”
Kim Seohun grabbed Bomin’s hand, a pleading look in his eyes. Instead of leaving, Bomin led him towards the living room sofa.
“You can stay here with me.”
“Huh…? Me too?”
“Yes. It’s huge; there are plenty of rooms.”
“Now this is a plot twist I didn’t see coming.”
Song Jaeho chuckled, running a hand through his hair. He had told Bomin to make himself at home, but he hadn’t expected him to invite another guest.
“O-Okay!”
Kim Seohun glanced at Song Jaeho before eagerly agreeing. The best scenario would have been for Bomin to stay with him at his place. But if Bomin was set on staying here, then this was the next best thing.
“Let’s get some sleep.”
“Sleep…?”
Kim Seohun’s eyes widened in alarm.
“Yes, I’m sleepy…”
Bomin yawned, snuggling into Kim Seohun’s neck as he lay down on the sofa. Kim Seohun, pulled down with him, finally understood.
Bomin meant actual sleep, not s*x.
He felt a strange mix of relief and disappointment. But his hand still instinctively patted Bomin’s back.
“I may be stubborn, but you… you’re on another level.”
Bomin was fast asleep, his breathing evening out. Song Jaeho clicked his tongue, but he still fetched a blanket to drape over Bomin.
“Guide Kim Seohun, stay here with Lee Bomin. I have some business to take care of.”
“Okay…”
Watching Bomin sleep had a contagious effect on Kim Seohun. He couldn’t remember the last time he had slept properly.
Bomin smelled sweet and warm, reminding him of an innocent child.
“This is nice…”
Ever since he became involved with Bomin, it felt as if his life had been flipped upside down. His previously peaceful life was now full of chaos.
If he wasn’t such a coward, he would have cut ties and run. But as long as Bomin was by his side, he felt like he could face anything.
* * *
“I heard Lee Bomin is at your place.”
“He is. And don’t even think about coming here.”
“You never signed a guide contract or a pairing agreement. What right do you have—”
“It’s not about my right. It’s Lee Bomin’s decision. He doesn’t want to guide you or Yoon Bisam anymore.”
“What?”
A tense silence filled the conference room where the S-rank Espers had gathered to discuss the Non-K issue. There were currently seven S-rank Espers officially registered with the Korean Awakened Association.
Rumors of the Association President harboring a secret weapon circulated, but nothing had been confirmed.
Excluding the President and two Espers on overseas assignments, all four remaining S-rank Espers were present.
And they were all connected to Bomin in one way or another. As soon as Han Biseong mentioned his name, all eyes turned to him and Song Jaeho.
“I can easily request the Association to make Lee Bomin guide me. There’s no way you can stop that.”
Han Biseong, who had initially frowned at Song Jaeho’s words, smirked as he found a loophole.
He had been forced to rely on a guiding machine to lower his rampage level, his desire left unsatisfied after Bomin refused to guide him properly. He could have gone to another guide, but for some reason, he felt reluctant.
It didn’t matter if Bomin refused. Han Biseong had every intention of receiving ‘s*x guiding’ from him soon.
“That’s if he’s still an A-rank Guide.”
While there were plenty of capable A-rank Guides, S-ranks were on a whole different level. They were even rarer than S-rank Espers.
If Bomin were to become an S-rank, the Association would be forced to prioritize his safety and opinions.
“Easy for you to say when he’s not an S-rank yet.”
The air crackled with tension as Song Jaeho and Han Biseong exchanged icy glares. Despite the smiles plastered on their faces, their eyes held a murderous intent.
“Enough. Let’s focus on the matter at hand. Did you all forget that the Non-K leader got away? Along with most of their executives?”
Yoon Bisam, who had been silently watching the exchange, intervened.
“The Non-K leader is after Lee Bomin. Instead of fighting amongst yourselves, we should be focusing on capturing that bastard and keeping Lee Bomin safe.”
Yoon Bisam’s words were indisputable. Song Jaeho and Han Biseong, realizing he was right, reluctantly reigned in their tempers.
