The elevator doors opened, and two figures stepped out, tightly wrapped around each other.

The shuffle of their footsteps startled the voice-activated light in the hallway, which had been fixed at some point, and suddenly, the blinding white light flicked on. But even that harsh brightness couldn’t break the closeness of their bodies.

He Linzhou’s chest pressed against Wen Xunchuan’s back, his warm lips brushing over the smooth, fair skin just behind his ear. Wen Xunchuan fumbled to get his keys from his pocket, tilting his head slightly to expose his neck, allowing He Linzhou’s kisses to trail downward.

Impatient with the slow pace of his unlocking, the man behind him suddenly exerted some force, pushing him firmly against the door. Wen Xunchuan’s chest pressed against the cool door, his body giving a slight shiver as the hot breath tickled his neck.

He Linzhou buried his face in Wen Xunchuan’s neck, sucking softly as he lifted a hand to guide his, twisting the key together.

Just as the door opened, a few untimely barks sounded. He Linzhou made a silencing gesture toward Chun Mei inside. Recognizing the two at the door, Chun Mei merely wagged her tail lazily, then turned around and slinked back to the tatami by the window to continue her nap.

He Linzhou half-pushed, half-embraced Wen Xunchuan inside and shut the door behind them. Just as he turned, his lower back collided sharply with the shoe cabinet by the entryway. He hissed a bit from the pain, but before he could catch his breath, a hand grabbed his collar, pulling his head down, and an alcohol-soaked kiss fell on his lips. Wen Xunchuan clumsily yanked off his jacket, tossing it to the floor, and his hands slipped beneath He Linzhou’s sweatshirt, his palms hot as they roamed over the smooth, toned muscles on He Linzhou’s back. With their lips and tongues deeply entangled, Wen Xunchuan tightened his arm around him, pushing him back toward the sofa.

When He Linzhou’s back landed against the soft sofa cushion, he wrapped his arms around Wen Xunchuan’s slim waist, defined by his fitted shirt, pulling him close.

Wen Xunchuan lifted a long leg, straddling his waist, one hand braced against the back of the sofa, while the other hand clutched his nape, diving down for another kiss. His soft tongue slipped eagerly into He Linzhou’s already waiting mouth, wrapping around his tongue with fervor. He leaned down, pressing his chest against He Linzhou, grinding his arousal against the hardness beneath He Linzhou’s pants.

He Linzhou moved his hips in time with Wen Xunchuan’s rhythm, tilting his head to meet his kiss, while his hands fumbled to undo the buttons of Wen Xunchuan’s shirt. Their bodies pressed so tightly together that He Linzhou’s movements became awkward, managing only to undo two buttons after a long struggle.

Frustrated by He Linzhou’s slow hands, Wen Xunchuan bit down on his lip hard, pushing him away. Kneeling on the sofa, he straightened his back and began undoing his buttons himself.

He Linzhou touched his slightly stinging lip, rubbing his moist fingertips together. The room remained dark, lit only by the faint moonlight streaming through the window, making it impossible to tell if it was just saliva or blood. The mixed scent of smoke and alcohol between them obscured any hint of blood.

Wiping his mouth with the back of his hand, he leaned back against the sofa, narrowing his eyes at the shadowed figure, panting as he muttered, “Damn, are you a dog?”

Wen Xunchuan didn’t reply, undoing the last button on his shirt, exposing his smooth, toned chest within the wide-open black shirt. In the dim light, his pale skin stood out strikingly.

He Linzhou reached out to stop him from taking off the shirt, licking his stinging lip slightly, his voice low and hoarse, “Just keep it like this.”

Wen Xunchuan was always one to respect his partner’s preferences in bed. Without a word, he paused, then reached over, tugging off He Linzhou’s sweatshirt over his head.

Their burning, smooth skin pressed tightly against each other. Wen Xunchuan leaned his chest in, rubbing his hardened nipples lightly against He Linzhou’s. He Linzhou sighed contentedly, a slight breath escaping his lips, as his hand found its way to caress Wen Xunchuan’s jawline, leaning forward to search for his lips in the dark.

Wen Xunchuan leaned down, kissing him in response, his palm covering He Linzhou’s nape, gently caressing. His hand slid down to his shoulder, but as soon as it touched his shoulder, He Linzhou impatiently grabbed his hand, placing it on his chest.

Wen Xunchuan pinched a small nipple between his fingers, rolling it gently. He Linzhou’s breathing grew noticeably heavier, and he pulled Wen Xunchuan close, gripping the skin of his lower back firmly.

Wen Xunchuan’s kisses drifted down from his lips, nibbling along his smooth jawline. He Linzhou tilted his head back, resting it against the sofa, his neck and jaw forming a graceful curve.

Bending over, Wen Xunchuan let his kisses trail downward, his lips parting slightly as he enveloped He Linzhou’s Adam’s apple, the warm cavity of his mouth enclosing it, his wet tongue teasingly lapping at the raised bump. A tingling, electric sensation spread through He Linzhou’s bones, and his breathing grew ragged. His hand slid down Wen Xunchuan’s waist, cupping his behind and giving it a firm squeeze.

A pair of hands pressed down on his, halting his movement, and He Linzhou couldn’t help but thrust his hips up against Wen Xunchuan’s.

Propping himself up on his knees, Wen Xunchuan leaned over, his hands gripping the back of the sofa as he looked down at He Linzhou. His voice, rough and commanding, held an undeniable firmness, “I’m on top.”

With both hands, He Linzhou gripped his waist, pulling him close, saying, “I only do top.”

“Then we’re not doing it.” Wen Xunchuan pushed him away without hesitation, rebuttoning his shirt as he headed toward the bedroom.

“Damn it,” He Linzhou cursed, getting up to follow him, grumbling, “Are you that stubborn? Or are you just… not up for it?”

“Don’t push me.” Wen Xunchuan blocked the doorway, saying, “Either you try being the bottom and find out, or go take care of yourself and go to sleep.”

The image of Wen Xunchuan’s pale neck and sharp collarbone lingered in his mind, and He Linzhou’s arousal only grew more intense. “Hell no, I’m not backing down! We’re not going to sleep until we’re done here.”

Wen Xunchuan remained adamant, and He Linzhou wasn’t backing down either. They stood at the doorway, locked in a standoff. Seeing that Wen Xunchuan was about to close the door, He Linzhou quickly held it open, slightly frustrated but trying to compromise, “Fine, I’ll go top this time, and you can next time, alright?”

Wen Xunchuan glanced at him coldly, his response ruthless, “Who said there’s gonna be a next time?”

Clenching his teeth, He Linzhou finally relented, “Alright, rock-paper-scissors? Loser goes bottom.”

Wen Xunchuan crossed his arms, leaning against the doorframe as he looked at him for a moment before suddenly laughing, “You’re so childish, you know?”

“Just say yes or no,” He Linzhou said.

Wen Xunchuan raised his chin, giving a dismissive hum through his nose, “Fine.”

    “Rock, paper, scissors—”

As the words fell, He Linzhou threw out scissors.

Wen Xunchuan only raised his hand after he had played his move. Frowning, He Linzhou shouted, “Hey, you’re too slow! No cheating—”

He stopped mid-sentence, noticing Wen Xunchuan’s open hand and pausing for a moment as he began to realize something, chuckling, “You could’ve just told me, you know…”

Wen Xunchuan shook his head, his eyes filled with soft laughter, catching the faint glimmer from the window.

Before He Linzhou could fully understand the meaning of Wen Xunchuan’s smile, that open hand pressed firmly against his forearm, pulling him straight into the bedroom.
