Chapter 16: Lu Fangchi, I Like You

Lu Fangchi’s lips, which had curved into a smile, suddenly stiffened.

Zhou Zheng, standing behind him, shifted slightly and leaned closer to Lu Fangchi, repeating, “Lu Fangchi, do you hear me? I like you.”

His tone was extremely earnest, and the warm breath he exhaled tickled the back of Lu Fangchi’s ear, making it feel unusually itchy.

Lu Fangchi dared not respond. Ignoring his burning earlobes, he quickly closed his eyes and pretended to be asleep.

Zhou Zheng, not receiving any response, didn’t press the issue further and made a few sparse movements.

With his eyes closed, Lu Fangchi listened to the sounds around him. He felt his wrist being lifted by Zhou Zheng, and a cool sensation pressed against his skin, as if something had been placed there.

Zhou Zheng held his wrist and examined it for a moment. Fortunately, he had bought two of them. Red really did suit him better.

The brown mole on his wrist complemented the red woven bracelet perfectly. He placed his hand back under the quilt and patted it gently, saying, “Goodnight, Lu Fangchi. Happy New Year.”

Zhou Zheng lay down, facing Lu Fangchi’s back, and stared at the slight rise of his shoulder blades, which created the shape of butterfly bones.

His thin back added an air of refined restraint. With these thoughts, he slowly closed his eyes.

The sound of Zhou Zheng’s breathing, now a soft snore, came from behind.

After causing a commotion for most of the night, Zhou Zheng had finally fallen asleep. Lu Fangchi, feeling somewhat overwhelmed, opened his eyes and vigorously rubbed his earlobes, trying to sleep but now wide awake.

Thanks to Zhou Zheng’s “confession” before sleep, Lu Fangchi’s mind was buzzing. The phrase “I like you” kept flying around in his head.

Lu Fangchi wanted to smoke. He half-rose, paused for a moment, and then lay back down. Forget it.

It wasn’t worth waking Zhou Zheng up, and he couldn’t face the so-called “liking” between them at the moment.

Lu Fangchi lay down with his back to Zhou Zheng, bit his fingernail, and began to think. What was suddenly wrong with Zhou Zheng?

No way, Lu Fangchi tried hard to find clues to convince himself that Zhou Zheng’s words were a joke, but the more he thought about it, the more alarming it became. He terrifyingly realized that the other party might be serious.

The more Lu Fangchi thought, the more confused he became. His mind felt like a knotted rope, the more he tried to untangle it, the tighter it got. His brow furrowed deeply, and he couldn’t find an answer no matter how much he pondered.

His mind was in chaos until the first light of dawn broke through the window, and the fragmented light spots danced on the curtains, creating an interplay of light and shadow. Only then did Lu Fangchi drowsily close his eyes and fall into a light sleep.

“Xiao Chi, Xiao Chi…” a whisper sounded in his ear.

Lu Fangchi struggled to open his eyes and found himself sitting on the sofa. Zhou Zheng was half-squatting on the carpet in front of him, resting his chin on Lu Fangchi’s knee. His charming, almond-shaped eyes looked up, bright and moist with desire. His thick, red lips moved, “Is your leg sore? Let me massage it for you.” His expression was full of coquetry and pleading.

Lu Fangchi couldn’t feel his lower limbs at all. Before he could say anything, Zhou Zheng began to move on his own. As he did so, his chest opened up, revealing his milky white skin and well-defined muscles, which were truly a test of one’s willpower.

Lu Fangchi always wanted to reach out and touch, to feel the texture and elasticity, but a tickling sensation brought his attention back. The tickling started from the back of his calf and extended up his spine, rushing to his head. Wait, how do you massage legs with your mouth?

Zhou Zheng’s lips pressed against the back of his calf, slowly moving upward, as if they were burning. Lu Fangchi felt a fiery sensation wherever he passed.

The position kept climbing higher, almost reaching the danger zone. Lu Fangchi’s forehead was dripping with sweat from the heat, but his mouth felt like it was glued shut with super glue, damn it, he couldn’t make a sound.

Finally, he bit the zipper, his white teeth clicking against the metal, making a “click-click” sound. A blush rose on both sides of his cheeks, his eyes hazy, and his voice full of allure: “Do you want to?”

Lu Fangchi dug his fingernails into the flesh of his palm, trying to stay awake.

    Refuse, refuse!

He couldn’t make a sound, and with great difficulty, he shook his head.

The next second, Zhou Zheng grinned mischievously and pulled down the zipper without any room for refusal…

No! Lu Fangchi suddenly opened his eyes wide, seeing a milky white ceiling. He raised his hand and wiped his forehead, which was covered in sweat.

It was just a dream. The rise and fall of Lu Fangchi’s chest showed the reality of the dream.

Damn it, what was going on. Lu Fangchi pursed his lips and glanced to the side. Fortunately, the object of his spring dream wasn’t there.

Speak of the devil, the next second the doorknob turned, and Zhou Zheng poked his head in from the doorway. Seeing that Lu Fangchi was awake, he said, “You’re awake, just in time to get up and eat. You’ve slept for a long time; it’s already noon.”

Lu Fangchi glanced at him. Zhou Zheng looked refreshed, with a clean and lively expression, wearing a white T-shirt and light blue jeans, looking like a typical young man. But for some reason, his appearance overlapped with the heart-fluttering image from the dream.

A flush rose on Lu Fangchi’s face. He nonchalantly averted his gaze and buried half his face in the quilt, making a muffled “hmm” sound.

Zhou Zheng, thinking he was going to sleep in again, walked to the bedside and reached for the quilt, saying, “Get up and eat. You can sleep after you’ve eaten.”

Lu Fangchi vigorously rolled into the quilt, his voice tinged with irritation, “Give me a break, don’t rush me.”
