Hello everyone, SleepyTime here. Some of you might recognize this novel from Wook’s Teahouse before the whole site was taken down, and yes, I’m the original translator who uploaded this novel there. At first, I’m just going to let this novel gather dust in my drive since I don’t have the time to upload 90++ chapters, but due to some of my readers that still wanted to read this novel, I decided to post it in SoR. Hope you all enjoy it, thank you.
Chapter 11
by SleepyTime“Do you have something to say?”
“… No.”
“Then go. Why are you staring at me like that?”
“Can’t I look at you with my eyes?”
“You’re free to look with your eyes, but I don’t like being the subject.”
Haon replied with a rough voice. As he did, Cha Yugeon seemed to have nothing to say, pursing his lips for a moment before swiftly turning around and disappearing with long strides.
“Haa, that wretched guy. Ugh, so annoying.”
Watching Cha Yugeon move away, Haon shuddered. The scene where he fell into a coma flashed before his eyes. If that Cha Yugeon’s had gone on a rampage… it would not have ended well. The thought sent a shiver down his spine.
“Emergency treatment has been administrated, if you need additional care, please go to the hospital.”
“Um… I’m okay. I just want to rest for now. I’ll visit the hospital if my condition doesn’t improve.”
“Yes, understood.”
Haon stood up, clapping his hands, and thanked the medical staff. Thanks to the healers Esper from to the healing team, Haon’s condition had improved significantly. He had worried about getting burned when he jumped into the fire, but when he touched his face, there was no injury or pain. Fortunately, he seemed to have been completely cured.
Haon bowed his head in thanks to the medical staff and, with a much lighter body, headed towards his dorm. The medical team had done an excellent job, and he felt refreshed and invigorated even when compared to before the mission.
“Hey, Park Haon!”
Turning around at the familiar voice, he saw Siyun vigorously waving his hand. Haon, also happy to see Siyun for the first time in a while, waved his hands lightly. Siyun quickly caught up to him.
“Hey, I heard that you became an S-class guide. Is it true?”
“How did you know?”
“Is there anything in the Center that I don’t know? You went on a mission with Cha Yugeon, right? Is that also true?”
“Don’t say that.”
“Oh, your reaction confirms it then.”
Siyun burst into laughter as Haon’s face crumpled like a piece of paper. Haon wasn’t in the mood to laugh, so he kept his face stiff and hastened his steps towards the dorm.
Siyun followed suit.
“Cha Yugeon almost went on a rampage. You stopped him.”
“…Are you a spy? How do you know all this in such detail?”
Haon raised his eyebrows at Siyun’s words. Siyun seemed to be aware of just about everything, even the battle that had just occured, which Haon hadn’t even mentioned. Haon felt suspicious. Siyun, however, laughed heartily at Haon’s unease.
Siyun, with a sly smile, brought his lips close to Haon’s ear.
“I’m dating someone from the management team.”
“…Is that even allowed? There must be some regulations to restrict the blabbering mouth”
“Oh, of course, I don’t usually abuse my connection for this kind of thing. I only ask about you since we’re friends. No need to worry.”
In response to Siyun’s words, Haon tilted his head nervously. By now, they should naturally part ways, but Siyun, after meeting Haon after a long time, continued to follow him. At this rate, he was following all the way to the dorm, making him secretly uneasy.
“Ahh… I’m going to be dispatched. I have to go.”
“Sure, take care.”
Upon hearing the welcome news, Haon waved his hand without any hesitation. Siyun, who had been walking towards the dorm with Haon, suddenly turned back and started running down the corridor.
Haon finally moved towards his dorm with a considerably relieved heart. However, it didn’t last long.
“Oh… right, I no longer live here.”
As Haon habitually heading towards the lower-level Esper accommodation where he used to live, he stopped abruptly. It hadn’t been a day since he changed dorm, and the path to his new room was still unfamiliar to him. Haon scratched his head in embarrassment and turned around, even though no one was watching.

Yugeon wasn’t in a good mood. He felt so uncomfortable that if he could, he would have burned everything visible in frustration. Lying on the sofa for a long time, He bothered him from the beginning, and then he became more and more annoying because he couldn’t even do his part of the job.
Moreover, there’s also the matter of his… ‘it’ become transparent because of him, so it was a wise decision not to kill him. However, the fact that such a guy was his guide was unbelievable. Even when Haon was an esper, he had low abilities, and now he’s manifested as a guide. Yugeon couldn’t fathom how he could fulfill his role as a guide.
But Park Haon had stopped his rampage. He had brought Yugeon, who had lost his sanity and fallen into a coma state, back to his senses. It was something Yugeon didn’t want to admit even though he had experienced it firsthand. However, there was something he truly couldn’t stand. Yugeon gritted his teeth.
“How badly are you hurt?”
The image of Haon receiving treatment flashed in Yugeon’s mind. Yugeon regretted not seeing Haon until the end of the treatment. If he had known it would be this bothersome, he should have observed Haon until his treatment was complete, regardless of the provocations from that bastard.
The red burn scar on Haon’s cheek bothered Yugeon. Despite knowing that several healer Esper team members were assigned to him, and they could easily treat such wounds, Yugeon couldn’t understand why he was so concerned.
Yugeon couldn’t admit it, and he didn’t want to, but the truth was that he was worried about Haon. Haon’s guiding ability had impressed Yugeon, and the energy engraved in his body like DNA had acknowledged Haon as his guide. Therefore, Yugeon’s thoughts naturally revolved around Haon, regardless of Yugeon’s intentions and relationships.
This was the result of instinct.
However, instead of accepting this fact, Yugeon, who couldn’t even imagine it, found it annoying and unpleasant that he was thinking about Park Haon.
“Ah, damn it!”
Yugeon angrily grabbed a cushion from the sofa and threw it to one side. In that moment, the fleeting irritation forcefully erupted, and the cushion, released from Yugeon’s hand, was engulfed in flames.
“…Fuck.”
While looking at the cushion burning in one corner of the living room, Yugeon muttered curses irritably. Soon after, just as the fire alarm began to loudly wail, water poured down from the ceiling.
“Nothing is going right, damn it.”
Yugeon grumbled to himself as he was hit by the streaming water.

The next day, Haon was summoned to a meeting room early in the morning through. Along with the annoyance of being disturbed during sleep, he also felt unfairly treated as he hadn’t even had breakfast. Arriving at the designated place, there was no Director Han in sight, only Cha Yugeon, which irritated Haon even more.
“Why are you here?”
“The director called me. Something came up suddenly.”
“Tsk…”
With Cha Yugeon’s explanation, Haon mumbled in displeasure and took a seat, casually resting his arms on the desk and leaning forward. If the director wasn’t there, he thought he might as well catch up on some sleep. As he naturally lowered his heavy eyelids, his fury began to creep in.
“Hey.”
“…What.”
Although he was in the perfect state to fall asleep, Haon’s sleep was abruptly interrupted by Cha Yugeon’s call. Haon looked at Cha Yugeon with a gaze that clearly conveyed his irritation.
“I brought this for you.”
“What is this?”
“What do you mean by what you crazy guy?”
Haon squinted at Cha Yugeon’s words. What he offered was a small white medicine bottle. Haon alternately glared at the bottle and Cha Yugeon with a suspicious look. In response, Cha Yugeon sighed, seeming annoyed.
“Hey, just take it! Why are you just staring? Did your injuries damage your brain or something?”
“What’s this? Are you trying to give me some weird medicine to make things difficult for me?”
“Just what do you think of people… It’s a treatment medicine. It contains concentrated energy from high-level healer Esper, so it can heal pretty serious injuries.”
“…Why are you giving this to me?”
Listening to the explanation made it even more suspicious. Haon looked at the bottle and Cha Yugeon alternately with a wary expression. Then, as if expressing annoyance, Cha Yugeon exhaled a long sigh.
“Hey, hey, it’s fine. Just take it. I brought it for you. Anyway, just take it.”
“Sure”
“What?”
“I said sure, I’ll take it.”
Haon’s straightforward words surprised Cha Yugeon. He looked at Haon and the medicine bottle in turn, dumbfounded.
“Hey, usually when someone says ‘take it,’ you just take it, right? Instead of making a fuss about it.”
“Well, I said I’ll take it, so why are you complaining again? What do you want, exactly?”
Annoyed by Haon’s straightforward question, Yugeon let out a deep sigh. Then, he handed the medicine bottle to Haon as if tossing it to him.
“Just take it. Anyway, it’s a pain when the weakling get hurts.”
