Huiyun dreamed of Yasha for the first time in a while. It was a dream where he gently laid a young disciple, who he couldn’t remember the name of, on his lap and put him to sleep.

    “You can’t sleep?”

“I want to sleep, but sleep eludes me.”

“Hmm… You’re too young for insomnia to set in.”

    “I didn’t say I had insomnia!”

“Alright, alright. Then shall we play?”

“I’m not in the mood for that.”

“It’s tricky to match the mood of a young dragon.”

As he chuckled, it seemed like his disciple was pouting.

    Pat, pat.

He gently patted his disciple’s back, signaling not to be upset, which made him smile. That pure and innocent smile lifted Yasha’s mood, and he smiled back. Suddenly, the disciple grabbed Yasha’s hair.

    “Then let’s play with this.”

“I think I taught you not to touch your master’s body recklessly.”

“…Well, your hair is fine, isn’t it?”

With a stubborn grip, the small hand held onto the hair tightly. Seeing the disciple’s attachment, Yasha couldn’t resist the earnest gaze and eventually consented.

Just as ‘there are no parents who can outwit their children’, there didn’t seem to be many masters who could outwit their disciples.

    “Wow! Really?”

The disciple, who had just been smiling at the simple permission, started playing with Yasha’s hair in excitement.

    “Anyway, you’re quite peculiar.”

    “…Ash.”

    ***

    What did I just mumble?

Heavily, Huiyun, half-conscious from deep sleep, raised his heavy eyelids.

    Blink, blink.

Since his fatigue hadn’t completely dissipated, the scenery of the hospital gradually came into view through his blurry vision. How tired was he? How much time had passed? He had fallen into a deep sleep without realizing it.

Did I sleep for about 12 hours?

Turning his head towards the clock, he began to wake up in a daze. Somehow, the bed felt narrower than usual. What’s this? Was it because of his mood? He turned his head again, and his expression stiffened as he noticed that the bedside was protruding more than usual.

Something was inside the white blanket.

    “…”

    Wait, what’s happening?

Startled, Huiyun reached out towards the blanket.

Did his brother put a pillow under while he was asleep?

    But it’s strangely bulky for a pillow…

As his thoughts continued, a foreboding feeling crept over him. Should he just check it out?

His hand hovered in the air as he pondered whether he should open the blanket or not… He felt like he was in a horror movie.

    But, suddenly…

    “Aaaah!”

Huiyun, startled, caused a commotion in bed as a white hand popped out of the blanket and grabbed his finger.

The creature inside the blanket moved sluggishly.

    “C-Craz…”

    Are you crazy!?

Huiyun, pale and trying to suppress his hiccups, looked on as something in the blanket poked its head out.

“…Your morning greeting is rather intense.”

The person speaking with sleepy eyes was Nameless.

    “…….”

“Um, it’s not morning. Seeing that the sun is high in the sky.”

He spoke so naturally and nonchalantly, Huiyun almost convinced that his room was for a two-person room.

There’s absurd, and then there’s overstepping the bounds of common sense with bizarre actions, Namless action’s leave Huiyun speechless as he pulled the blanket towards him. Nameless silently watched the blanket sliding down his body and yawned lightly. There was no sign he intended to get up, his eyes still sleepy.

    Is he insane?

The calm looks in his eyes was even more infuriating.

    “…Why are you here?”

Huiyun had managed to hold back his curse words when he asked, but then he saw something he shouldn’t have.

    “That, that…!”

Huiyun couldn’t hold back any longer and shouted, as Nameless not only had climbed onto the bed in his suit but was also wearing his shoes.

“How can you climb into bed with shoes on! The blanket will get all dirty!”

Fuming, Huiyun lifted the blanket, and sure enough, there was a bit of dirt. He sighed out of frustration and irritation.

Nameless, making a humming noise with his throat, finally got up.

“Was I not supposed to wear shoes in bed?”

“What kind of obvious question is that… Did you come from abroad or something?”

He did look eerily vampire-like, but he didn’t seem Western.

Was he a naturalized Korean hunter? If he was Korean and still doing this, it would be utterly condemnable.

Nameless looked once at Huiyun’s angry face and once at his own feet wearing shoes, then he shook off the dirt from the blanket.

    “I didn’t know.”

“Really, have you lived abroad? No, that’s not what’s important right now…”

Inadvertently, Huiyun lost track of the real issue due to his anger. More important than Nameless wearing shoes and climbing onto the bed was why he was in Huiyun’s bed in the first place.

“Why were you sleeping in my hospital room? And in the same bed at that. I don’t recall giving you permission. Isn’t this trespassing?”

    “I needed blood.”

    “Excuse me?”

“Your blood, Huiyun, it’s quite a good sedative for me.”

“What nonsense are you talking about.”

The context of his words was so absurd that Huiyun, forgetting he was muttering to himself, blurted out his thoughts.

Regardless of the scolding, Nameless played with Huiyun’s wrist and then pulled him with great strength.

    “No, wait…!”

With a primal sense of danger, Huiyun struggled to get away from Nameless.

    Snap!

His hand reached out towards the emergency call button.

Call the police, or a doctor!

Though he desperately wished it inside, without unleashing the abilities of Yasha, S-class strength was hard to contend with.

Pretending to be an ordinary citizen meant he couldn’t use his powers, and thus, powerlessly dragged along, Huiyun collapsed on the bed.

Nameless naturally climbed up onto the bed as if it were only natural and looked down at Huiyun.

“I’ve been thinking about it, and it seems like I might need you, Huiyun.”

    “But I don’t need you.”

    “I didn’t ask.”

    “What kind of person…”

Damn it. He should have realized something was off when he suddenly bit someone’s wrist.

Nameless had been relatively quiet when he was with other, so Huiyun hadn’t been on high alert. But now, seeing him, he realized Nameless was a lunatic just like Hong Juan. He should have been more cautious. As Huiyun muttered to himself, Nameless pressed down on both of Huiyun’s wrists and lowered his head.

Just as Huiyun was about to shout in shock, his phone suddenly vibrated on the table.

    Ring! Ring!

Both of their gazes turned to the vibrating phone as if there was some urgent matter. Sensing the loosening of the grip on his wrists, Huiyun didn’t miss the opportunity and swiftly rolled off the bed and dashed out.

“I, I think I need to answer this call!”

He exclaimed as he grabbed his phone, finding one missed call and two text messages. They were from an unknown number.

Huiyun immediately unlocked his phone and checked the messages.

“Hey hey hey. Huigang’s lil bro! I’m warning you in advance. This isn’t my fault? I think? But you were under suspicion?” 1:24 PM

“I said it wasn’t my fault, so don’t blame me later! I’m coming now!” 1:27 PM

There was only one person who called him Huigang’s lil bro, so Huiyun immediately knew who the sender was.

Huiyun quickly checked the time the message arrived and glanced at the current time. 1:30 PM. As per Hong Juan’s message, it was about time for him to arrive.

Why did he send such a message? What does he mean by “my fault”…

Unable to understand the message, just as he was about to reply, the door opened with a creak, and a strong presence enveloped Huiyun. Instead of facing the situation, Huiyun, who wanted to escape reality, was met with the unexpected guest, the unwelcome visitor.

    “You’re here early.”

“…I wondered where you went, turns out you were here already.”

    “Hmm… whatever.”

Nameless’s words were unclear, as if he didn’t intend to say he had been here since last night. Jiwook gave the man a scrutinizing look before shifting his gaze to Huiyun.

Huiyun was dazed and despaired when the people came into the hospital room. On the day when all the problems started, the three people who came to his hospital room gathered here again after 15 days, and with eyes filled with more blatant suspicion and turbid emotions than before.

Huiyun glared at Juan who was hiding behind Jiwook. But what use was hiding when he was the tallest among them?

What on earth does he said to them?

With a threatening look in his eyes, Huiyun hid his clenched fist behind his back.

    “What are you doing here?”

Jiwook, who was surveying the room, answered the sharp question.

“From today, we’ll be your bodyguards.”

    “…What?”

    Huiyun was taken aback.

    What is this situation, again?
