When the transformed Gou Fugui saw Xie Tianlang, there were so many divine beasts roaring in his heart.
He doesn’t understand how he seems to always run into this guy no matter where he goes, it’s accurate to the point it’s as if there was a glowing collar on him.
But even if Gou Fugui have cursed this “wolf” out dozens of times in his mind, there were no signs of it on his face. he could only scream and yelp to express his annoyance.
After all, the current him is a noble, aloof, and wealthy otter who is not capable of speech.
The wealthy otter, faced with a shameless Tianlang who calls himself his “dad”, decided to roll his eyes and prepared to leave without saying anything.
At this moment, Gou Fugui was very glad that he had hidden his clothes and small backpack before transforming. Otherwise, if he was carrying his backpack now, he would probably be immediately suspected and maybe even exposed.
Even though at a time like this, a sea otter has appeared in the shopping mall and knows how to shop on its own, it’s still… quite bizarre.
Well, there are still ways to force an explanation—like he could be an otter specially trained by humans, with a deceased former owner.
Or maybe he’s the hope of this generation of otters, the lucky star with extraordinary wisdom and grace that surpasses his kind…
Tch.
Anyway, as long as no evidence is found, and as long as he stubbornly refuses to speak, no one can claim he’s human!
And they certainly couldn’t know that he is the beauty Fugui who seeks wealth and fame in this prosperous world.
But the wealthy otter Fugui, in the end, didn’t manage to leave.
Because the moment he turned around, he felt the ominous feeling causing his fur to stand on end!
“Shit, watch out!”
“The fu-?!”
At the instant the otter Fugui, sensed the danger, his reflexes kicked in. He forcefully used his front paws to fling the large bag of supermarket groceries he was holding forward, using the water’s momentum to send it flying. At the same time, his nimble little body swiftly swerved to the side, narrowly dodging a deadly blow!
The otter Fugui, watched as the sharp, bone-like spike with tiny, serrated teeth pierced through his entire shopping bag, stabbing through his twelve bottles of soda, and even puncturing his two cans of baby milk powder and three cans of meat. The spike barely missed his nose, and his fur erupted in sheer panic.
“Ahhh Fu-!”
What in the he// is this??!!
If he had reacted even a second too late, he would have been pierced through the head!
At the moment, Xie tianlang’s anxious and panicking voice rang out from the side:
“That’s a swordfish! Watch out for it’s bill[1]! It’s extremely sharp and hard! It’s speed is also really fast! Don’t move, I’m coming to save you!”
When Fùguì the otter heard the words “swordfish,” his round otter face almost instantly grimaced, and he was ready to curse the ancestors of Tianlang!
Of course, he knew what a swordfish was! How could he not know? If it weren’t for the fact that swordfish weren’t cute enough and their natural ferocity was just too much, they might have even had a spot in his quirky cute creatures handbook!
One of the top predators in the ocean, even sharks and orcas don’t dare to face it head-on. It can reach speeds of up to 130 kilometers per hour, and its most impressive feat was once stabbing through a military submarine with its sharp bill. To this day, a large specimen is displayed in a European museum because that swordfish had punctured a fishing boat that happened to be passing by!
This. s. a. EXTREMELY. ferocious. fish!!!
Why did it have to appear here AH !
The otter was horrified, okay?!
As Fugui the otter silently screamed in his mind and couldn’t help but shudder, the swordfish, which hadn’t yet managed to kill its prey with one strike, began to wildly thrash its body.
The enormous tail of the adult swordfish generated a force that no small otter could resist. Even with the shopping bag in the way, Fugui was quickly thrown aside with just a few swipes!
At that moment, Xie Tianlang swiftly swam over, reaching out and grabbing the still-angrily cursing otter Fugui.
Xiè Tiānláng gently patted the round, slightly trembling little otter, who was gasping for breath from the violent movements. Despite the struggle, he smiled and reassured him.
“It’s okay, it’s okay, don’t be scared, don’t be scared, Yuan Yuan! I’m here, I’m here, Daddy’s here.”
“AO [2]AHH F-!!”
Don’t try to deny it! This fish has everything to do with you! I was shopping in peace at the ocean’s self-service store, and now suddenly a swordfish from the deep sea pops up! How do you explain that?!
He angrily screamed at Xie Tianlang.
Despite the otter’s furious and random screams and yelps, Xie Tianlang seemed to have understood it. A rare hint of embarrassment appeared on his usually handsome and domineering face. He swiftly lifted the otter, named Fugui, onto his shoulder, wiped his face, and then swung his arms, swimming quickly toward the supermarket.
He explained, “Ahem, it was actually an accident. I just wanted to catch a big fish. Who would have thought that I’d get so lucky and run into this giant fish at the fishery up ahead?”
But while Xie Tianlang was still considering whether or not to capture such a large fish, the predatory fish in the sea had already decided to turn the tables and start hunting him.
The swordfish, measuring three meters long and weighing over 150 pounds, was undoubtedly larger than Xie Tianlang, even though he was a “werewolf”. The size alone gave the swordfish a clear physical advantage.
With its natural speed and strength, as well as its sword-like upper jaw, killing Xie Tianlang would have been a simple task for the fish.
However, thanks to Xie Tianlang’s rapid swimming and his reputation as a “werewolf” who could make even his teammates and superiors wary. When he got serious, he managed to use the environment to his advantage. Swimming quickly through the streets and using the obstacles around him, Xie Tianlang made it through three blocks before finally finding a shop.
Along the way, Xie Tianlang had two chances to escape, and at one point, the swordfish even seemed to lose interest, as if it was tired of chasing him. But the deep-rooted competitive spirit in Xie Tianlang kept him from running away. He stubbornly pressed on, deliberately provoking the fish, and led it all the way into the shop.
The swordfish was indeed a top predator of the deep sea, but that was only true in the open, unobstructed waters.
The swordfish had clearly never experienced the complexities and dangers of human society.
Xie Tianlang intended to let it learn those lessons, and then… trap the fish within the ingenuity of human civilization, turning the hunter into prey.
As Xie Tianlang swam swiftly toward the supermarket, Fugui, the otter perched on his shoulder, tilted its little head and glanced back. Unable to hold it in any longer, the otter burst into a giggle.
The swordfish was still moving at great speed, its tail swinging fiercely. If you ignored the sharp, sword-like snout, it appeared to be a fearsome and powerful predator of the sea.
But now, on the tip of its sharp snout, there were four bottles of cola, two cans of baby formula, and six boxes of canned food…
The once fearsome sea predator suddenly didn’t seem so fierce anymore.
It is a bit similar to those delivery fishes in the sea which brings your groceries to your front porch, especially those that uses violence.
Gou Fugui understands why Xie Tianlang would swim into the supermarket. The supermarket is filled with many items, and even if it is flooded, the large shelves take up a significant amount of space, which can limit the swordfish’s speed and attack power.
“If this environment is used well, defeating this swordfish isn’t impossible.”
Sure enough, Xie Tianlang entered the supermarket and swam toward the large steel shelves without hesitation. He seemed to plan on using the steel shelves to restrict the swordfish’s most powerful feature: its sharp, attacking bill.
Meanwhile, the enraged sea predator, who had been provoked by him and was chasing him closely, had no idea about his plan. Just as it was about to catch up to Xie Tianlang and aim for his back, the swordfish’s tail suddenly swung forcefully!
It really was like a giant sword in the sea, quickly thrusting toward Xie Tianlang!
“Aahhh!!”
Fk watch out!!
The sea otter, Fugui, urgently scratched at Xie Tianlang’s shoulder with his furry little paws.
However, Xie Tianlang suddenly grinned, pressing his right hand firmly on the otter’s body and gripping the shelf in front of him with his left hand. Just as the swordfish’s sharp, elongated snout was about to pierce his back, he suddenly shouted sharply!
His body brushed past the sharp bone spike and shifted to the left!
At that moment, the swordfish’s long snout pierced through the shelf filled with pots and knives, completely impaling the all-metal rack!
Xie Tianlang immediately grabbed the swordfish’s long bone spike with one hand. He picked up a kitchen knife hanging from the shelf, letting out a fierce shout as he swung it down with all his might!
Clang!
When the kitchen knife collided with the sharp bone spike, it made a sound like metal striking stone!
Xie Tianlang didn’t manage to sever the swordfish’s bone spike with a single strike, but the fish could now feel the danger and began to struggle violently.
Helpless, Xie Tianlang’s hand tightly gripped the swordfish’s bone spike. Despite his palm being scraped and bleeding, he refused to let go, using the strength of the metal rack to hold on.
Clang!
Xie Tianlang struck a second heavy blow!
The swordfish let out an enraged roar[3] and began to struggle violently in a desperate attempt to free itself!
Even though Xie Tianlang possessed immense strength and far exceeded normal human physical limits, under the frantic thrashing of the massive sea predator, he was barely able to hold on.
Just as he gritted his teeth, preparing for a final, desperate struggle, he heard a muffled sound, like a heavy impact.
Thud!
Then, with blood covering his hands and the taste of blood filling his mouth, Xie Tianlang realized that the swordfish’s frantic thrashing seemed to be weakening.
Thud, thud, thud, thud, thud!
A series of impacts followed, and it seemed like the sea predator… had stopped moving?
Xie Tianlang froze for a moment. He didn’t loosen his grip on the swordfish’s bone spike, but turned his body to look toward the other side of the shelf. Then, he saw—
A small, round sea otter, its face full of fierceness, holding a heavy, flat stone pot with both paws and furiously smashing it on the swordfish’s head.
That sound, that force!
It was clear that this otter was a force to be reckoned with.
So… cute… and so strong!
Author’s Note:
Otter Fugui: “Did you know that otters are all born with a natural talent for smashing shells?! Take this!” *Smashed pot*
Xie Tianlang: “Totally smitten. And finally, I’ve caught the big fish I’ve been after!”
