KYB Ch 45
by LuluA strangely unpleasant message appeared in the chat.
There they go again. Guild members talking nonsense wasn’t anything new, but for some reason, it irritated him today. He was just about to close the guild window when—
(Guild) LifeIsSolo: Wow, even Sekki got dumped^^ lol Is that fresh chick that good?
(Guild) Jinhee: LOL exactly, and on top of that, he ran off with our tiny, cute, precious… healer!
What nonsense was this supposed to be?
The man stared at the chat for a moment before tapping the voice room.
‘Even if I go in, they probably won’t be talking about Yewoo Beomjeol anyway—just chatting among themselves about pointless things.’
He was annoyed thinking his guild members were talking about Yewoo Beomjeol without him knowing anything, so he was only going to check. Yes, he really is just going to check

‘What exactly am I supposed to be looking at?’
When he opened the room, the list of guild members inside appeared. Yewoo Beomjeol wasn’t there.
He thought he had fallen for another irritating bait again. With an indifferent expression, he scrolled down—and something caught his eye at the bottom. Voice Room 2.
It was a muted room that allowed only two people inside. Entering automatically disabled all notifications and microphones, but if the host enabled them, you could speak. It was usually opened for fully focused raid runs…
“…”
The man felt strange. He stared at the screen in silence, then did something he normally would never do: he checked the participants of the voice room. And immediately, his brow twitched.
Yewoo Beomjeol
What the hell is this?
***
HealingJjimo typed anxiously. He had turned on his mic, but it wasn’t working properly, so he used whispers instead; only Yewoo-won used his mic for briefing.
“Hm…”
Ye Woo-won glanced at the screen. He understood why HealingJjimo was worried.
Ever since Ye Woo-won started the briefing through the voice room, party members had been dying helplessly one after another.
(Whisper) HealingJjimo: Yewoo-nim how do you even know this tactic..??…
(Whisper) HealingJjimo: This doesn’t seem like any standard tactic 😭😭😭
Meanwhile, HealingJjimo’s own death count had almost vanished once Yewoo Beomjeol started giving commands. He seemed worried watching others die, but since at least he wasn’t dying anymore, his nerves had relaxed compared to earlier.
“The Loveron Round One boss is easy once you know the trick. You always died during the feather pattern, right? That pattern targets the furthest person in the back. The DPS kept charging forward without thinking, leaving you alone behind.”
Technically, healers were supposed to stand in the back, but…
“Other DPS need to take turns clearing the incoming feathers to protect the backline DPS and healers. But they didn’t. So you don’t need to stay in the back this time.”
There was no reason to stay where he would just die.
Of course, it wasn’t an easy job. Since Healers tend to have especially fragile bodies, it was possible for them to get caught awkwardly between the DPS and end up dying to a boss pattern.
“You know what class I’m playing, right?”
Ye Woo-won glanced at HealingJjimo’s character clinging close behind him and gave a small smile.
“With me tanking in front, how are you supposed to die? Behind a tank is the safest place.”
Yewoo Beomjeol was a Dragon Knight with semi-support capability.
Yewoo Beomjeol easily blocked the stray attacks aimed at HealingJjimo, and anything he couldn’t block, HealingJjimo dodged thanks to his briefing. Because of that, HealingJjimo was able to steadily cover his front and both sides, all while managing to land debuffs on the boss as well.
(Whisper) HealingJjimo: But… the back was an absolute mess instead 😭😭😭
Of course, it didn’t come with only benefits—there were drawbacks too. Since the DPS who couldn’t keep up in the front were left in the back, they were getting hit by the feather attacks and dying.
(Whisper) HealingJjimo: 😭😭😭😭… I was supposed to support them more…
“It’s not your fault. In raids, if you push too hard to support others and die, no one appreciates it. They’ll just ask why you died. Don’t worry. The one who dies the most always blames others first, and that’s when fun things happen. Honestly, this is perfect timing.”
And right then, the party window flashed.
The first to speak was Inferno, who was already dead as a corpse.
‘This is starting.’
Ye Woo-won laughed at the completely predictable
(Whisper) HealingJjimo: What do I do, Yewoo-nim?😭😭 Should I apologize?
Ye Woo-won slowly shook his head.
“Say nothing. Just watch. And you did well, HealingJjimo”
It wasn’t just empty praise. With the DPS failing to do their part, HealingJjimo more than pulled his own weight, and didn’t die—Just that much is enough to quickly change people’s opinion.
“And the fun part is starting. Watch.”
Ye Woo-won stared at a certain DPS who had suddenly stopped attacking the boss as soon as Inferno talked. Usually, the next person to speak in this kind of situation was always the same type.
(Berserker) TwelveCentipedes: You dumb fck, maybe try not dying first
It was always the quiet one who had been holding it in.
That Berserker had been quietly doing his full share as a DPS from the very beginning. Even though his field of view must have been limited since it was a try run for him too, he would still occasionally try to protect HealingJjimo from the feather attacks.
‘He must have known something was off with those DPS.’
Some players usually stay quiet because they don’t want fights. But he had reached his limit.
(Vampire) KikikKukkuku: uh…;;
The Berserker was clearly furious; he even stopped dealing damage to the boss to unleash a storm of chat.
(Inferno) fireinthehole: what bullshit lol I died cuz the goddamn healer didn’t support me lol
(Inferno) fireinthehole: and why is that healer glued to the tank?? lol that’s why I ate all the feathers
On the surface, the complaint wasn’t entirely wrong.
(Berserker) TwelveCentipedes: DPS are supposed to clear the feathers so the healer can stay in the back lol
(Berserker) TwelveCentipedes: If that’s you, would YOU stay behind if you were getting blasted nonstop when no one protects the healer???
But someone who hadn’t done his job and only died had no right to say that.
Ye Woo-won looked at the other two DPS—KwangKwangFrozenNyangiNyang and KikikKukkuku. They had been laughing earlier. Now silent. Of course, they were.
‘They died a lot, too. So, of course, they wouldn’t have anything to say.’
Because, aside from TwelveCentipedes and Yewoo Beomjeol, their death counts were nearly identical.
However, now the other two had no choice but to speak up.
Once someone grabs you by the hair—
(Martial Artist) KwangKwangFrozenNyangiNyang: If you died, just apologize quietly;;
(Vampire) KikikKukkuku: don’t lump me with you
(Vampire) KikikKukkuku: I’m better than you, obviously.
The fight had been inevitable from the start.
