by LotusIn a daze, Do-won barely opened his eyes. His head ached as if it were about to split open. Every muscle in his body felt sluggish and unresponsive. He blinked repeatedly, his fingers twitching slightly as sensation slowly returned.
The first thing he saw was an unfamiliar ceiling. Judging by the intricate patterns and the lighting, he realized he was in a hotel room. He barely managed to turn his heavy head toward the window. Sun-hyung stood there, dressed in a bathrobe, lazily swirling a glass of wine. Upon noticing movement, he smirked.
“You’re awake? Your stamina is impressive. A normal person would be out for four or five hours. You lasted only one.”
“…What the hell,” Do-won rasped. His voice was hoarse, his entire body aching as if he had been beaten. He frowned at the strange sensation on his wrists, only to realize they were bound together. A dry laugh escaped him at the absurdity of it all.
“Lee Sun-hyung… you’re completely insane.”
“Yes, I am. Do I look crazy to you, too?”
Sun-hyung took a sip of wine, any trace of the desperation or nervousness he’d shown earlier now gone. Instead, his expression was unsettlingly relaxed.
“Do-won, I told you—it’s your fault I lost my mind.”
“You’re full of shit.”
“Then why did you escalate things so much? A contract marriage? Ahaha, how desperate are you to get married that you’d resort to such a stunt?”
His eerie laughter echoed through the room. He looked down at Do-won’s helpless figure on the bed, took another sip of alcohol, and picked up a syringe filled with an unknown substance.
Do-won’s eyes widened in alarm. He struggled to move, but before he could break free, the syringe was plunged into his neck. A sharp, stinging sensation spread through his muscles.
“Ugh… ugh!”
“I can’t wait for this one,” Sun-hyung murmured in a singsong voice, laughing softly. His enjoyment was evident.
“You… you’re going to pay for this,” Do-won growled.
“Pay for it?” Sun-hyung tilted his head, his smirk widening. “If I was afraid of consequences, would I have kidnapped you and brought you here?”
“You… bastard…”
“Listen, Do-won,” Sun-hyung continued, his tone light yet menacing. “What I injected you with is a rut accelerator. In ten minutes, you’ll go insane and pounce on me.”
“…What?!”
Do-won swallowed hard, his bloodshot eyes glaring.
“You’re out of your goddamn mind! Are you really—do you even hear yourself?”
“You and my family have been connected for generations,” Sun-hyung said, brushing a hand over his stomach as if he were already carrying a child. “Tonight, I’ll make sure to have your child. And when the elders find out you’ve been faking it all this time, they’ll throw out that sham contract of yours. When that happens, I’ll have a much better chance than that Omega you’ve been clinging to.”
The more Do-won listened, the more twisted it became. His gut twisted in revulsion.
“You’ll end up marrying me,” Sun-hyung declared. “Not some fake contract marriage, but a real one, one that suits both your status and mine.”
He laughed, his handsome face breaking into an expression of madness. Do-won could barely process it. His head was spinning, and worse, his body was betraying him.
Unlike before, when he could barely move his fingers, his muscles were now reacting intensely. A dangerous heat built up inside him, boiling his blood. As a dominant Alpha, his rut cycles were already intense, and being forced into one now—so suddenly—was unbearable. He clenched his teeth, trying to fight it.
“You… think… this will make me yours?” Do-won gritted out, his voice thick with strain. “You think you can steal a person’s heart like this?”
Sweat dripped from his forehead. Even as he glared murderously at Sun-hyung, his body continued to weaken under the overwhelming effects of the drug.
“Winning your heart would be difficult, sure,” Sun-hyung admitted, completely unbothered. “But it doesn’t matter. If I can’t have it, I’ll just take everything else. Love isn’t the only thing that keeps people together. How many couples live purely for love, anyway?”
He glanced at his wristwatch and smirked.
“It’s time.”
With that, Sun-hyung released his pheromones.
A suffocating wave of them filled the room, thick and intoxicating. Even for an Alpha like Do-won, it was overwhelming. His entire body tensed as beads of sweat dripped down his skin. His ragged breaths grew hotter.
“You’re going to regret this,” Do-won snarled.
Do-won lunged at Sun-hyung with frightening force. His instincts, already running rampant, took over. He grabbed Sun-hyung’s throat, his hands yanking at the fabric of his robe. In an instant, he shoved Sun-hyung onto the bed and pinned him down, his eyes burning with fury.
Sun-hyung bit his lip and looked up at Do-won nervously. At this point, the drug should have fully taken effect, forcing Do-won to lose all rational thought and succumb to his instincts. But he was resisting. More than Sun-hyung had expected.
There was hostility in Do-won’s eyes—more than lust.
Frustrated, Sun-hyung released his pheromones at full strength. The suffocating concentration in the hotel room became even more unbearable. Scowling, he roughly pulled at his tie, his confidence faltering.
Do-won’s body was already at its limit. The overwhelming desire should have broken his restraint completely. His hands, trembling, moved toward the waistband of his pants. He was just about to unbuckle them when—
“Team leader, you need to come back soon before I go to bed.”
A soft, cheerful voice echoed in his mind.
“I’ll be waiting for you.”
A face—small, bright, as endearing as a squirrel—flashed through his thoughts.
Yu-young.
Do-won’s breath hitched. His grip loosened.
In that split second, Sun-hyung seized the opportunity. He quickly flipped their positions, pinning Do-won beneath him. He leaned in, aiming for a kiss—
But Do-won’s large palm struck his face, stopping him cold.
“Ha… Hmph. Get off me.”
Do-won snarled, his voice hoarse.
Sun-hyung blinked, dazed from the impact. But then, his lips curled up in a slow, sinister smile.
“Why are you resisting? You should be fucking me by now.”
“Shut the hell up,” Do-won spat, his breathing ragged. “I’ll kill you for this… if I survive.”
His vision blurred as his body burned with unrelenting desire. The rut was suffocating, driving him to the edge.
There were only two ways to suppress this madness.
One—give in to Sun-hyung.
Two—inflict pain on himself, a pain strong enough to override the primal urges.
With his jaw clenched so tightly that his muscles ached, Do-won reached into his jacket.
His fingers wrapped around a fountain pen.
Holding it tightly, he raised it high—then, with all his strength, drove the sharp tip straight into his thigh.
