PM Chapter 31
by BrieChapter 31
Embarrassed by how stupid he must have looked, Heeseong wanted to crawl into a hole and hide. He bit down on his lip and drew in a breath when Daesik suddenly stepped closer and asked,
“Are you okay?”
There was no hint of scolding or looking down on him in the gaze that checked him over. Heeseong glanced at him and nodded hesitantly.
“Uh, um… yes….”
“How does your body feel?”
“…I I’m okay….”
Seeing Heeseong keep lowering his head as if embarrassed, Daesik let out a small laugh and lightly brushed his hair. The touch was frighteningly soft, making Heeseong’s breathing turn rough on its own.
Letting out a low sigh, Daesik suddenly scooped up Heeseong, who was sitting slumped by the door.
“Gasp…! I I can walk…!”
Heeseong hurriedly protested in surprise, but Daesik did not put him down.
“You’ll still be uncomfortable.”
At Daesik’s words, Heeseong’s shoulders twitched. Just as he said, his body still ached, and every step made his lower body throb faintly. Feeling awkward, Heeseong’s face heated up again.
Heeseong tilted his head to the side, trying his best not to show his face. He was not shameless enough to calmly chat the morning after sleeping together.
Daesik snorted softly and said,
“You’re not going to show me your face?”
“…Um….”
Feeling Daesik’s straightforward gaze, his toes curled tighter. His heart pounded noisily in his chest. If he could, he wanted to disappear on the spot.
“…Uh, about yesterday….”
As Heeseong mumbled hesitantly, Daesik set him down on the sofa and listened quietly. Then suddenly, he lifted the corner of his lips.
“It’s Sunday today.”
“…What?”
Heeseong, who had not been able to meet his eyes even once, forgot his embarrassment and snapped his head up.
Seeing Heeseong staring at him wide eyed, Daesik burst into a short laugh. After crying so much, Heeseong’s face was slightly swollen, making him look like a carp. Wrapped up in a blanket while naked, he also looked like a little puppy squirming around.
Unaware of what Daesik was thinking, Heeseong sucked in a sharp breath at the mention that two days had passed. He had promised himself he would not cause Daesik any trouble, yet he had ended up missing work for two whole days. That worried him a little.
And on top of that, he had clung to him because of his heat cycle. What should he do about this? Thinking he had done something wrong, Heeseong’s face quickly crumpled. He should apologize to the boss, right? He felt ashamed, like he was always causing him trouble.
Daesik tilted his head as he watched Heeseong. The way he looked completely at a loss was just amusing. He glanced at Daesik to read his mood, then hurriedly dropped his gaze again, his eyes darting around.
After watching him with interest, Daesik decided not to tease him this time and left him alone. For now, he figured feeding him something was the priority.
Heeseong’s complexion looked so pale that Daesik wondered if he had gone too far yesterday. And he also remembered that the body he had held felt even thinner than expected.
What should I feed him.
Just as Daesik was about to stand up, he paused when his shirt tugged lightly. Heeseong had grabbed him. After fumbling for a moment, Heeseong managed to speak.
“Um, boss.”
Listening closely to the small voice, Daesik replied,
“What.”
“…H have you seen my glasses, by any chance…?”
“Oh, those.”
He had probably tossed them somewhere when he dragged him into the room. Thinking for a moment, Daesik spotted the glasses neatly placed on a shelf in the living room. Kyunghoon must have set them there earlier.
As he stood up to get them, he frowned. For a brief moment, he seriously considered just getting rid of the damn glasses.
Once the glasses were off, Heeseong went from looking like a loser to a beauty with long, large eyes. How could a person’s image change that much with just a pair of glasses? It was fascinating.
Of course, Heeseong with glasses was cute in his own way too. And without them, it was obvious that more pests would swarm around him. Maybe it was better for him to keep them on.
After a moment of thought, Daesik picked up the glasses and handed them to Heeseong.
“Here.”
“Thank you.”
Bowing his head politely, Heeseong put on his glasses and looked around. The blurry world sharpened, and he could finally see clearly where he was.
The room was at least twice as large as the one he had been using, so big he could not even see the end of it. Taking in the spacious living room, kitchen, and large windows, Heeseong’s mouth fell open without him realizing it. Wow. It’s huge.
“Is this your room, boss?”
“Yeah.”
The boss’s room is huge too.
Amazed, Heeseong looked around everywhere.
Daesik rubbed his chin as he watched him quietly. Judging by the way his eyes sparkled, he seemed to like the room. Narrowing his eyes slightly, Daesik seized the opportunity.
“How is it? You like it?”
“Yes…!”
Clueless, Heeseong nodded enthusiastically with a smile. He looked like a kid who had just walked into a toy store. Holding back a smile, Daesik spoke casually.
“Then you’ll stay here from now on.”
“…What?”
Heeseong blinked, wondering if he had misheard.
Even at Heeseong’s blank expression, Daesik did not mind. He usually hated having to repeat himself, but with Heeseong, he did not feel annoyed or irritated. Snorting softly, he repeated himself clearly.
“I said you’ll stay here.”
Heeseong rolled his big eyes around and parted his lips, then glanced at Daesik. Since Daesik was just smiling without saying anything else, Heeseong hesitantly pointed at his own chest.
“…M me?”
“Then who else.”
Never having imagined he would be told to live here, Heeseong was completely flustered. Living in a room this big felt unreal. Was that really okay?
“Is that really alright?”
Just in case, Heeseong asked timidly once more. He had often been hit after being told he did not understand properly when someone changed their words.
“Why. You don’t like it?”
“Ah… no. It’s not that….”
“Then do it.”
Daesik answered calmly, as if asking what the problem was.
“Mm….”
Heeseong let out a small groan. He did not dislike it, he actually liked it, but still, it felt a bit… This was Daesik’s room, after all. If he stayed here, what would Daesik do? That question followed.
“Th then what about you, boss?”
At Heeseong’s hesitant question, Daesik’s eyebrow cocked upward.
Oh? Look at this. He must have assumed Daesik would move rooms if he stayed here. The nerve on this tiny thing. Amused, Daesik lifted the corner of his lips.
“I’ll stay here too. Why, are you trying to kick me out?”
“N no…!”
Not realizing Daesik was joking, Heeseong panicked and waved his hands frantically. Kick him out? Never. He had absolutely no such thought. But Daesik was an alpha, and he was an omega…
“I just… I’m an omega, and you’re an alpha, so shouldn’t we not live together…?”
“Why not. I’m fine with it.”
“Ah….”
So the boss does not mind.
But still….
Heeseong bit his lip slightly, remembering what his brother had warned him about.
“You have to be careful around alphas.”
“They can’t help themselves when it comes to omegas. Remember what the teacher was like. One wrong move and something bad can happen, it’s dangerous, so be careful. Got it?”
Having left school early, Heeseong did not really remember what the teacher had said, only his brother’s words. His brother’s voice echoed in his ears. Since Daesik was an alpha, he thought he should be careful, just like his brother said.
At the same time, he also remembered that when his heat cycle had hit, Daesik had not treated him dangerously. That made Heeseong feel conflicted about what he should do.
His brother’s warning made him hesitate a little about staying here, but Daesik did not feel all that scary.
On the other hand, Heeseong could not understand why Daesik would let him stay in his room. Why was he being so kind? All he had done so far was cause trouble. Was he helping him because he pitied him?
