    Chapter 35

Whoever those bastards were, they were definitely fucked up. Just looking at how they treated someone as young looking as Heeseong made that obvious.

Even though it had absolutely nothing to do with him, Daesik felt irritated over what Heeseong had been through. If I find them, I’ll kill them. He even went as far as deciding to kill people who had nothing to do with him at all.

Setting the tablet he had been holding down, he pulled Heeseong, who was timidly sitting at the edge of the sofa, by the waist. As Heeseong was dragged closer, he suddenly asked,

    “What did you do, boss?”

    “Who knows.”

Daesik tilted his head, one arm wrapped around Heeseong’s waist.

    “I don’t really rest either, so I wouldn’t know.”

So the boss was busy too. Heeseong nodded quietly.

“Let’s rest together while we’re at it.”

Shrugging casually, Daesik narrowed his eyes slightly as he looked at Heeseong.

“What do you want to do?”

At the question, Heeseong bit his lip and slowly closed and opened his eyes.

Something he wanted to do…? Confused, Heeseong tilted his head. Daesik was the first person to ever ask him what he wanted to do.

    “I’m not sure….”

Seeing that, Daesik clicked his tongue inwardly and added,

“What about something you want to have? Something you want, or like?”

All of a sudden, Daesik felt a strong curiosity about what Heeseong wanted or desired. Watching him and what he wanted had nothing to do with each other, yet he felt strangely restless. Seeing how Heeseong was so used to pain that he did not even know how to rest, and did not even know what he wanted for himself, Daesik could not leave it alone.

At the question, Heeseong lowered his gaze. His eyes fell on the spotless marble floor.

    “……”

What he wanted right now was to meet his brother, and to do that he would have to hurt Daesik. He did not want to hurt Daesik, but to get what he wanted, he had to do something he did not want to do. As that reality surfaced again, his mood sank to the bottom. Heeseong drooped like a puppy with its tail down.

“Guess we’ll have to figure it out together. What you want to do, what’s fun.”

    “T together…?”

At the word together, Heeseong’s shoulders twitched slightly. His heart began to pound and he swallowed. Feeling gratitude and guilt at the same time made his feelings complicated.

At the same time, he felt a quiet sense of anticipation. He had barely ever rested together with his brother, let alone dreamed of it. He had only ever envied it.

Sometimes, the orphanage director’s children would come by, and there was one boy around Heeseong’s age when Heeseong was ten. Every time that boy came, he would run up to Heeseong and brag.

“Yesterday I went to an amusement park. It was really fun!”

    “Really?”

The only time Heeseong had gone to an amusement park was during a school field trip. To him, it felt like another world, so the director’s son’s words had made him incredibly jealous.

“Hey, this summer we’re going to Hawaii! Jealous?”

    “……”

Back then, Heeseong did not even know where Hawaii was. He only learned later from his brother that it was a kind of resort destination.

Around that time, Heeseong stopped feeling jealous, and he stopped seeing the director’s son. The director had pulled him out of school and made him work at a factory instead.

    “Don’t like it?”

    “N no….”

    “Then that’s good.”

If they tried different things, he would eventually learn what he wanted.

    “Okay….”

Seeing Heeseong nod hesitantly, Daesik’s gaze deepened. Just as he was about to move his hand, the phone on the table vibrated. Without letting go of Heeseong, Daesik answered the call.

“Boss. Director Choi Younggi has arrived.”

At Kyunghoon’s voice, Daesik let out a cold laugh.

Choi Younggi was an executive in the organization. Old fashioned and greedy. That summed him up. He believed the organization should go back to the old ways, yet he stubbornly clung to his title of director. A ridiculous man.

Daesik had put a great deal of effort into dragging Gyelim into the light, and it had been very successful. Legitimate businesses were now just as active as the ones in the shadows.

There were problems, however. As they surfaced and grew under respectable names, more eyes began watching them. On top of that, bad news followed one after another. The chairman had collapsed.

That gap invited opportunists. Choi Younggi was one of them.

If Choi Younggi had deliberately come to find Daesik, who had stepped back from the front lines, it could only mean one of two things. Either there was a problem with the work he handled, or he was trying to test Daesik. Or else…

Daesik’s gaze slowly dropped to Heeseong’s restless face.

    “Treat him well.”

“He says he has something important to discuss.”

Discuss what. Daesik crooked his lips.

    “Tell him to wait.”

Around then, Heeseong noticed Daesik’s hand subtly stroking his waist and flinched, trying to inch away. No matter how dense he was, he knew what that touch meant.

Watching Heeseong burn red with flustered confusion, Daesik clicked his tongue inwardly. The red lips, swollen from all the biting and sucking, looked temptingly plump. Suddenly, he felt thirsty.

What should I do with this fish.

Flustered by the subtle touch, Heeseong gently bit his lip, unaware that Daesik was staring at it intently.

Cold sweat beaded as Heeseong’s eyelids fluttered like butterfly wings. Just as he tried to retreat, he was dragged back again.

    “Where are you going.”

After hanging up, Daesik pulled Heeseong back and asked teasingly. Watching him try to escape was amusing, so he treated it like a joke.

“Um… I was going to rest.”

    “We said we’d rest together.”

Heeseong broke into a sweat. Daesik only smiled at his discomfort. With a playful grin, he casually draped an arm over Heeseong’s shoulders.

“So what should we do to rest.”

    “……”

Having never rested before, the question felt impossibly difficult to Heeseong. He could not answer at all.

Shrinking back, Heeseong fidgeted and kept sneaking glances at Daesik, worried that he might be scolded for hesitating.

He knew Daesik was different from the violent thugs he had met before, but out of habit, his head still turned and his eyes still darted.

Daesik did not mind his behavior at all and seemed lost in thought. Then suddenly, their eyes met. Startled, Heeseong bit down hard on his tongue.

    “Mm….”

It hurt. It hurt so badly that tears welled up.

    “Did you bite your tongue?”

Daesik asked, clicking his tongue. Heeseong nodded timidly, shrinking again, half afraid of being scolded and half wanting to hide from embarrassment.

“Oh dear. You have to be careful.”

    Daesik said gently, patting him.

    “Let me see.”

Hesitating, Heeseong opened his mouth and stuck his tongue out slightly. His plump lips parted, revealing a redder tongue peeking out. A faint trace of blood showed on the side.

“That must hurt,” Daesik said quietly. Heeseong, not knowing any better, nodded and replied yes.

Lifting the corner of his lips, Daesik grasped Heeseong’s chin and leaned in as if to look closer, then tilted his head and suddenly swallowed his lips and tongue.

    “Mmph…!”

Caught off guard as his lips were sealed and his tongue scraped, Heeseong struggled. The injured spot was sharply stimulated, sending a stinging pain through him. A tear that had been clinging to the corner of his eye dropped.

Before he knew it, Daesik’s solid arm had coiled around Heeseong’s slender back like a snake. The pain was so sharp that Heeseong beat weakly against Daesik’s chest, but being held fast, escape was impossible.

    “Hngh… ngh…!”

Daesik thoroughly sucked up Heeseong’s saliva, tormenting his tongue with deliberate pressure, even brushing and rubbing the injured spot on purpose with the tip of his tongue. Only when Heeseong’s waist trembled and he whimpered did Daesik finally let him go.
