“I’m a little sorry for Suhyuk, but he wasn’t the first one I tried with. To be honest, I was a bit hesitant to bring in Suhyuk from the beginning. He was too much of a cheat code, you know? Bringing a veterinarian means basically asking a high school student to do multiplication tables. So at first, I brought in someone who was a bit ordinary.”

And the result was a crushing defeat. Perhaps it was because of the power of the dragon and the many things it could achieve with that power. Everyone tried to do strange things. They tried to conquer the world, create a harem, or do things that third-rate villains often do. In the end, Kevades became a tool for someone’s bad deeds and desires. It was truly devastating to see all the people who liked dragons doing nothing.

“But Suhyuk was different. I’ve never seen anyone who puts dragons above themselves. Maybe it was possible because you were a social misfit who only likes animals and dislikes people, right?”

Liev immediately frowned at those words, unable to tell whether it was a compliment or an insult.

“I don’t think you meant that in a good way.”

Anyway, Sigrid continued to speak with a smile on his face.

“What do you think? Liev knows it himself. He wasn’t a proper adult. I also gave Suhyuk a chance. I hoped he could experience his childhood again, which he was unable to enjoy. Wasn’t that nice? When he was young, he grew up with Renard, and when he got older, he met good people.”

That was the truth. During the time that Liev worked as an assistant at the mountain lodge with Mr. Lambert, he learned that there are people like this in the world. Until then, for Suhyuk, most people were either trying to use him, annoy him, or mock him, but Lambert was really different. In fact, he was the only one who treated him as a family member without a single drop of his blood in his body. He took care of Liev so that he could become a proper worker and helped him find a job.

Mr. Lambert alone shattered Suhyuk’s negative perception of the world. When Liev suddenly lost his words, Sigrid smiled and said.

“Now that I think about it, aren’t you curious about it? Your face looks similar to Suhyuk’s original face. Isn’t it fascinating? The real “Liev” in this world would have a more Western appearance, but how can he look similar to Suhyuk, who is Korean?

    “Ah.”

When Liev exclaimed unconsciously, Sigrid laughed again and explained

“I designed it that way from the beginning. The character that was originally “Liev” had no name and no face, and nothing was decided after a few initial descriptions at the beginning. So I filled in the picture of Suhyuk on a blank canvas, and it’s natural for the juice to appear when you pour it into a glass, right?”

Only then did Liev’s long-standing doubts resolve. It was meaningless to try to differentiate between who the real “me” was and which one between Suhyuk and Liev was his true self. “Oh, I see,” Liev unconsciously understood, and Sigrid burst into laughter.

Liev found that sight very annoying, but he didn’t want to hit him like before. Even though he was the one who killed Kevades over 900 times, he soon developed pity for Kevades and ultimately ended up in this world in his attempt to save him. Liev stretched out his lips as if it couldn’t be helped. Sigrid asked with a smile.

“Is there anything else you’re curious about?”

It’s impossible for me not to be. Liev immediately brought up the first thing that came to mind while listening to the long story.

“What happens to the Kevades in the other rounds?”

Then Sigrid pouted his lips and shrugged his shoulders.

“Suhyuk can’t interfere with that. The ending of the story has already been finished and cannot be changed.”

Ah. At that moment, Liev was asking questions one after another.

“If you die, does the story end? Is it the same with this one?”

Then Sigrid answered with a face that was neither positive nor negative.

“It’s true, and sometimes it’s not. If I die, I won’t be able to interfere with that anymore. But the stories of the people who continue to live in that world will continue. I can’t touch it anymore. So Liev and Renard will continue to live in this timeline until the moment their lives end. When human Sigrid dies, you won’t be able to see me anymore.”

Anyway, it meant that Sigrid’s death wouldn’t end Renard’s or his own lives. When Liev breathed a sigh of relief, Sigrid pouted his lips and said.

    “Why? are you sad?”

    “No, I’m not sad.”

Liev accepted the joke without hesitation. Sigrid burst into laughter again.

    “Anything else you’re curious about?”

There were no questions left. For now, it was satisfying to know that they could be together until the moment Renard and Liev’s fates ended. When Liev slowly turned his head, Sigrid laughed again. Liev thought for a moment that he was a person who laughed too much. Sigrid carefully studied Liev’s changing expression and then concluded the story.

“Congratulations. This is the only happy ending out of the 939 attempts where Kevades became happy. You’ve come this far, so what else do I have to interfere with in the future? The future belongs to Suhyuk and Renard.”

And then Sigrid clapped his hands and suddenly returned to reality. Renard, who had been sitting next to them, looked blankly at Liev and Sigrid in turn and said.

“What’s wrong? You were acting like you were going to have a serious conversation. Why aren’t you saying anything?”

Instead of answering Renard’s complaint-filled question, Sigrid just smiled. Liev opened his mouth instead.

“I don’t think there is any need to talk about it. I overheard this a little earlier before leaving, he said that he was grateful for me raising you well so far and that we can live well in the future.”

    “What? What nonsense.”

When Renard protested, Liev replied with a smirk.

“You’re mine too. Isn’t that enough? Do you need anything else?”

Then Renard, with a face that was secretly satisfied, blushed and said,

“What’s wrong with you suddenly? You always act like you don’t need someone like me.”

“I don’t need anything else, I can’t live without you either. That’s why I didn’t want to see you again. I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to let you go.”

“Why are you thinking like that? You can never let me go!”

Liev thought that Renard, who immediately got angry, was really cute. But it was still good.

“That’s right, so that’s how it’s going to be from now on.”

The two lovers also had a brief lover’s quarrel. Sigrid said that now that all the talk was over, it was his turn to go to work, and he kicked Renard and Liev out. The two who were kicked out of the tent looked at each other and then burst out laughing at each other’s silly faces.

Is it really okay to have such a fairy-tale ending? For a moment, Liev had a habit of worrying. Sigrid said that from now on, their lives would be solely theirs without his interference. It was like a fairy-tale ending, but it wasn’t over. They had to continue living together for an eternity. Until the moment Renard ended his life as a dragon. When Liev silently looked at Renard, he said something he didn’t expect.

“I feel a little unfair. You know so much about me, but I don’t know anything about who you were before you came here.”

Liev was shocked by those words. Was he paying attention to that? But now that he thought about it, it seemed like a valid complaint. If he were in the opposite situation, he would have wanted to know more about Renard. Liev hesitated for a moment before speaking.

“Nothing special… I can’t even remember much anymore.”

“Still, I hate the fact that there’s a Liev that I don’t know.”

    “…..”

Liev hesitated for a moment before slowly opening his mouth.

“I didn’t live a very happy life before I met you. My parents didn’t care about me.”

If Renard wanted, there was nothing Liev couldn’t tell him. Liev started to share his hazy memories as he walked with Renard. The weather was sunny and bright, as if there had never been a storm. They didn’t know what would happen in the future or how terrifying eternal life would be, but they were sure they would be okay. Both of them. They had decided to learn, grow, and move forward together for a long time.
