TRYMBPIETM 11: The Ancient Tree’s Deep Shade(5)Part 1
by LotusSince the start of the live broadcast, the majority of the bullet comments had been criticizing Chi Qingzhou, with very few people offering opinions about his performance.
However, at this moment, whether it was bystanders, the fans of other guests, or the hired internet trolls, all of them fell silent for a moment.
The bullet comments were flooded with question marks and nonsensical rambling. After a while, someone finally managed to form a coherent sentence.
【Chi Qingzhou actually lifted the tricycle! Did he eat spinach like Popeye[1] or something?】
【Uh… it’s not that surprising, right? There have been people who’ve done similar things before.】
【But it’s not the same! Those other strongman personas always find a good leverage point before doing it. But CQZ just grabbed anywhere, and he did it with one hand!】
【Oh, is that so? Maybe it’s just the visual effect? The tricycle is huge, it can fit six people!】
【Now that you mention it, I just noticed that CQZ grabbed the edge of the cart, and the tricycle didn’t tip over at all. The cart was parallel to the ground?? This is absurd!】
【After all, the cart probably has the guests’ luggage, right? He has to be careful with that.】
【I just realized something—if there was no tricycle and the guests’ luggage was taken out and stacked separately, the visual effect would still be pretty impressive…】
【But the key thing is that he’s carrying such a heavy thing and can still move around casually. He’s not affected at all.】
Passers-by and variety show fans discussed excitedly, but what they didn’t know was that beneath the tricycle, two ghostly beings, with bodies completely blackened, were revealing twisted smiles, attempting to push Chi Qingzhou to the ground.
With the help of the ghosts, the weight in Chi Qingzhou’s hands was far more than just a few hundred pounds.
The guests were stunned for half a minute, but it was Tang Qichen who snapped back to his senses first.
He wanted to help Chi Qingzhou by sharing the load, so he quickly ran over and lifted the other side of the tricycle.
The cold sensation that met his hands made him shiver. For a moment, he thought he had grabbed a block of ice, but this ice was ridiculously heavy, nearly pulling him off balance.
He widened his eyes. “You’re not tired carrying such a heavy thing? I know you’re strong, but you should put it down!”
Chi Qingzhou took a step back, deliberately stepping on his own shadow to summon Xing Shuangzhan to help, smoothly pulling the tricycle from Tang Qichen’s hands.
He shook his head innocently. “I’m not tired, it’s really light.”
Tang Qichen opened his mouth, then, catching sight of Chi Qingzhou’s expression, his ears turned red, and the words he had prepared were swallowed back down.
Zhong Lingshu and Liang Ji exchanged glances and immediately realized that this was a perfect opportunity for an effect, so they both stepped forward.
Liang Ji smiled broadly. “Little brother Chi is so strong! Director Hu really sent us a big hitter this time, I can already see the production team crying later!”
Zhong Lingshu’s concern was much gentler. “Chi, you should put the tricycle down. Our luggage is still inside, and it’s quite heavy.”
Chi Qingzhou readily agreed and placed the tricycle back on the ground.
Xing Shuangzhan reached out from the shadow and tore the two ghosts away from under the tricycle, stuffing them back into Chi Qingzhou’s shadow.
He spoke with a hint of surprise. “Qingzhou, these two ghosts are likely transformed from malevolent spirits. Their ghostly energy is of the same origin as mine.”
Chi Qingzhou, unusually, paused for a moment. Without revealing any sign, he glanced at Zhu Yantong out of the corner of his eye.
His face turned ashen, his eyes filled with a vicious malice, but his brows were knitted with an uncontrollable fear.
Chi Qingzhou raised an eyebrow.
It seemed that this ghost tamer wasn’t just for show—his perception wasn’t bad.
Zhu Yantong had indeed noticed something was wrong.
He never expected that his ominous premonition would be confirmed here, of all places.
This so-called Chi Qingzhou was clearly just an ordinary person, yet he had disrupted Zhu Yantong’s plans in a way he never imagined.
But how could this be?
His two ghosts weren’t just placed there for no reason. Under normal circumstances, people would be blinded by their presence and follow him obediently, just as he had planned.
Could it be that the ghosts were pretending to obey?
What a bunch of ungrateful things!
Zhu Yantong gritted his teeth and began trying to recall the ghosts.
However, even though the ghosts were still alive, they did not respond to his summons.
He couldn’t even determine their location as he normally could.
It was as if his contract with the ghosts had been covered by a veil. He could only vaguely feel their status but couldn’t get any clearer feedback.
Zhu Yantong’s face changed drastically.
Could it be that the old geezers from the Occult Association had arrived?
But he hadn’t noticed the presence of any of them. The people he was dealing with were definitely ordinary people.
Confused, he dared not waste any more time. He forced himself to swallow the blood rising in his throat and put on his thick, naive smile again.
“Sir, I’m the one handling this. I’ll push the tricycle. It’s just… the spokes of the wheels are a bit damaged, and I’m worried the load-bearing capacity is compromised. The Di family is not far from here, so I’ll go get some help if needed…”
He hunched over and leaned a little closer to Chi Qingzhou, speaking hesitantly.
