by SpringlilaAssistant Lee Tae-hoon from the secretary’s office, was one of the key members of the project team that led the IC event. It was a newly created important task, and he clearly understood why he was doing it instead of Secretary Ahn Se-hyun.
It was essentially preparing a large-scale event for CEO Shin Tae-oh’s lover, so Lee Tae-hoon was selected as a team member from the secretarial team.
Being part of such a project made him feel recognized as a competent employee, but as a secretary, it also left him somewhat disillusioned, realizing that being in love meant the boss could involve them in things like this.
Of course, Lee Tae-hoon understood that a secretary’s duties weren’t limited to supporting only the professional aspects of their superior’s life. Whenever personal and professional boundaries blurred, it was better for the secretary to address the matter proactively. After all, having a hand in it from the start was far better than scrambling to clean up a mess later.
He understood, but as he keenly felt that a colleague had suddenly entered the chaebol boundary overnight, a bitterness lingered in one corner of Tae-hoon’s ordinary citizen heart…
“This is the venue where CEO Shin Tae-oh and Secretary Ahn Se-hyun’s wedding will take place.”
Had his fate changed as well?
Just a few months after becoming an official office couple, the wedding was taking place. Assistant Lee Tae-hoon could once again demonstrate his event management skills recognized by Chief Secretary Lee Jin-ho. He was tasked with filming the couple and broadcasting it on the large electronic display inside the building.
From now on, all event-related tasks would become wings for Lee Tae-hoon to soar in his career.
He borrowed equipment used in drama filming and held a camera using a steadicam. He even attached a bodycam to Chief Secretary Lee Jin-ho to capture scenes from different angles.
Lee Tae-hoon’s preparedness shone as he captured the vivid wedding scene. Today, he was determined to capture every aspect of the wedding.

At the entrance of the wedding hall, parents from both families were greeting arriving guests.
“It’s been a long time, Chairman.”
“Jin-ha, you’ve come.”
As they were neighbors who had frequent interactions, Jeong Min-jung warmly welcomed Yoo Jin-ha.
“I’ve come too.”
As Yoo Jin-hyun poked his head out to greet her, Jeong Min-jung smiled brightly and welcomed them both.
“Where are the main characters here?”
When asked about Shin Tae-oh and Ahn Se-hyun, who were both nowhere to be seen, Jeong Min-jung shook her head as if she didn’t know either.
“Unless you go look for them yourself, I have no idea. As you can see, I can’t move from here.”
“That guy’s always unpredictable.”
It would be nice if they just stayed here quietly and greeted people. But since they would likely see both of them before the ceremony anyway, Yoo Jin-hyun lightly looked around and spotted the waiting room.
If Ahn Se-hyun was in there, Shin Tae-oh would surely be glued to his side.
“Want to go together?”
When Yoo Jin-hyun asked his younger sibling, Yoo Jin-ha shook his head.
“I’ll go with Min-hyuk.”
“Alright then.”
There was no need to insist on going together when Yoo Jin-ha wanted to wait for Ha Min-hyuk. The sorrow of not having a lover was something Yoo Jin-hyun had let go of when Shin Tae-oh said he was getting married.
Yoo Jin-hyun approached the waiting room and knocked on the door.
“Excuse me.”
Yoo Jin-hyun opened the half-open door and quickly looked around. He wondered if there was a pre-ceremony photoshoot happening, or if someone else had arrived first to greet them. His eyes filled with confusion.
There was no one in the waiting room.
No one with a camera, no guests, not even Ahn Se-hyun.
“Where did they go?”
Yoo Jin-hyun turned around, leaving the waiting room door slightly ajar. After Yoo Jin-hyun, quite a few others came to the waiting room and left.
Where on earth were these main characters…
While Yoo Jin-hyun was looking around the wedding hall, Yoo Jin-ha approached with Ha Min-hyuk.
“Do you know where those two are?”
Yoo Jin-ha nodded at Jin-hyun’s question.
“Yes.”
“Where are they?”
“Here.”
Yoo Jin-ha turned her phone around so Jin-hyun could see. It seemed she was playing a video, as Shin Tae-oh and Ahn Se-hyun were on the screen.
“What’s this?”
“Live broadcast.”
Unlike Yoo Jin-hyun, Yoo Jin-ha worked at Shin Tae-oh’s company and had known this would happen from the start. It meant he wouldn’t have gone looking for the two even if it weren’t for Ha Min-hyuk.
“So where are they now?”
Yoo Jin-hyun finally examined the background where the two were.
“This is…”
“The rooftop.”
Hearing the location from Yoo Jin-ha, Yoo Jin-hyun instinctively looked up at the ceiling.

Perhaps because it was the building with the wedding hall, the rooftop was also nicely decorated as a garden.
There were four people in the garden. Se-hyun and Shin Tae-oh, and Chief Secretary Lee Jinho and Assistant Lee Tae-hoon who were filming them.
The two holding cameras were able to catch them going to the rooftop with Se-hyun because they had persistently followed Shin Tae-oh.
Se-hyun saw his Alpha facing the rooftop wind. The classic black formal wear and neatly combed hair showed how important today’s ceremony was.
Of course, Se-hyun had also woken up early and made many preparations, just like Shin Tae-oh. It was the moment to declare marriage to Shin Tae-oh in front of everyone. He was confident that his appearance would be different from usual, as he had put in more effort than usual.
However, it wasn’t perfect yet. The last piece was still missing.
“Se-hyun.”
Shin Tae-oh extended the hand he had been hiding behind his back. Se-hyun’s gaze naturally went to Shin Tae-oh’s hand. The two small bouquets held in one hand looked fresh enough to evoke admiration.
“I love you.”
Se-hyun gave a faint smile at the confession that came with the flowers.
“You know what?”
It was a question that came out of nowhere, rather than an answer to the confession.
“They say the CEO confesses a lot.”
“Did I?”
“Before going to sleep, on the way to the bathroom, and also…”
The screen filming Se-hyun’s face shook slightly. There was a bit of expectation, wondering when else Tae-oh might have confessed, and if the answer might turn out to be something steamy, which was reflected in the camera.
“When you’re drunk.”
“Ah…”
The sigh of disappointment didn’t come from Shin Tae-oh but from Chief Secretary Lee Jin-ho, who was filming with a body cam.
He had clearly expected something.
Oblivious to others’ disappointment, Shin Tae-oh gazed at Se-hyun with a weighty look.
He had merely expressed his overflowing feelings. However, from Se-hyun’s perspective, those countless confessions might feel as light as a feather, dividing the weight of a single confession.
Shin Tae-oh’s hand was imperceptibly, but slightly, moving downward.
“Among those many confessions, today’s is the most fragrant.”
Se-hyun took the bouquet from Shin Tae-oh’s hand. It was an act expressing acceptance of the confession. Moreover, it pulled Shin Tae-oh up from sinking into a swamp.
Se-hyun placed one of the two bouquets in his hand on the upper left lapel of Shin Tae-oh’s suit. It was the flower holder, also known as the boutonnière slot, and in doing so, Se-hyun revealed that the small bouquet Shin Tae-oh had handed him had been a wedding boutonnière all along.
“I know it feels good every time I hear it, but I’ve held back my own words so much.”
Se-hyun held out his empty hand to Shin Tae-oh as he also pinned the boutonnière to his own flower holder.
“I love you.”
Shin Tae-oh took Se-hyun’s hand.
“It’s starting to feel real that we’re getting married today. It’s becoming the first day where I promise to be your Alpha, and you promise to be my Omega.”
Shin Tae-oh’s whisper tickled Se-hyun’s heart.
The first day…

The wedding ceremony proceeded amidst the blessings of many people.
The couple walked side by side down the wedding aisle, and even as they waved to the guests, they never let go of each other’s hands.
“It’s time to let go of hands now.”
Even when they were supposed to face each other for the bow, they didn’t let go, prompting the officiant, Park Ha-seong, to tell them to let go…
Se-hyun tried to let go with an awkward smile, but Shin Tae-oh shook his head and wouldn’t release his grip, so Park Ha-seong resigned himself and told them to just greet as they were. A wave of laughter rippled through the wedding hall.
Shin Tae-oh, who hadn’t let go of Se-hyun’s hand even during greetings, finally released Se-hyun’s hand.
It was when they were about to exchange rings.
“Please present the rings.”
As Park Ha-seong smoothly proceeded, the guests looked at Shin Tae-oh and Se-hyun, and soon realized something was amiss.
Shin Tae-oh started searching his pockets for the ring.
“I’m sorry, but there’s no secret event planned. He really can’t find it.”
While Park Ha-seong astutely pointed out that Shin Tae-oh couldn’t find the ring, filling the hall with laughter, Tae-oh still couldn’t locate it. As his flustered expression deepened, Se-hyun calmly pulled out two boxes from his chest pocket.
Shin Tae-oh, who was about to apologize to Se-hyun, spotted the boxes in front of him and asked, half-dazed:
“Why do you have two?”
“You didn’t take them, so I brought them.”
“Then why didn’t you give them to me earlier?”
“Ah… You’re right. I thought I should hold onto them.”
Thinking about it, they should have each held one and put it on each other. For a brief moment, both had reverted to the roles of boss and secretary.
“Please exchange rings.”
Park Ha-seong quickly moved on with the ring exchange.
“Next, we have the marriage vows. The two will take turns reading, so don’t hold two microphones for one person.”
Just as Se-hyun received the microphone and was about to hold it to Shin Tae-oh’s mouth, he heard Park Ha-seong’s words and quietly handed one over.
Then he stepped back, only to come forward again when Park Ha-seong told him to return. The ceremony perfectly embodied their blurred lines between personal and professional roles.
