There was no answer from Se-hyun. Could it be that he couldn’t hear his voice because of the sound of the water?

Shin Tae-oh turned the shower to the side. He hadn’t shut off the water entirely, considering that if Secretary Ahn needed assistance, he might need it to be brought back to his senses. Shin Tae-oh crouched in front of Se-hyun, absorbing the sensory information around him.

First, he observed Secretary Ahn’s face. His eyes and cheeks were flushed, and his lips were reddened. Shin Tae-oh ignored the gentle gaze in those slightly moist eyes for the time being.

Second, he noticed the sound of Secretary Ahn’s breathing. Shin Tae-oh’s ears were captivated despite the noise of flowing water. Or perhaps, he could imagine the sound just by looking.

Lastly, the air was soft yet dense as it touched the skin. Though unseen, the sticky pheromones clinging to his body aroused Shin Tae-oh’s instincts.

“Secretary Ahn, you know. Haa…”

Shin Tae-oh, wondering what to say, clicked his tongue.

“You should come to your senses. Secretary Ahn, you’re…quite provocative right now.”

Shin Tae-oh’s heart was racing so fast from just looking at Secretary Ahn’s face that he couldn’t see what was beneath. Shin Tae-oh muttered, covering his eyes with one hand.

“I’m not going to ask Secretary Ahn about the flowing pheromone, so get up for now.”

Since he already knew Se-hyun as a Beta until now, the sudden change to an Omega was something to be discussed later.

“Ugh. Ha. Ahh.”

“Secretary Ahn, take a breath and get yourself together, damn it.”

Shin Tae-oh cursed when he saw the nipple after opening his eyes. Shin Tae-oh’s attention was captivated as he observed Se-hyun’s shirt clinging to his body, revealing the contours of his muscles. Shin Tae-oh first turned a stream of water over Se-hyun’s head since he was still not in his right mind.

Now, it was time to decide how to handle the situation. When Shin Tae-oh reached for his phone, he discovered Se-hyun’s wallet on the floor. It would have been simple to unfold if it had just fallen. But something was different about Se-hyun’s wallet now. The cards were more than halfway out, and the money clip was open as if someone had rummaged through it quickly.

“Did you get robbed?”

With the door left open, Shin Tae-oh didn’t look nervous at all even though he asked if someone was inside. He calmly picked up Se-hyun’s wallet and examined it thoroughly. It was unusual for Shin Tae-oh to inspect the wallet in such detail; usually, he only glimpsed at it when Se-hyun took out his cards. Seeing that there was still money left, it seemed like Se-hyun hadn’t been robbed. However, observing Se-hyun in his semi-dazed state, it appeared as if he had torn the wallet himself…

“Ah…”

However, Shin Tae-oh nodded approvingly as he discovered something tucked into one side of the wallet. Taking it out himself, he revealed it was medication.

“Heat suppressant.”

Shin Tae-oh, who figured out what kind of medicine it was through the English abbreviation on the outside, looked at Ahn Se-hyun and approached him. Despite his casual demeanor so far, the strong and sweet scent of the Omega had unexpectedly affected Shin Tae-oh’s lower abdomen, making it feel heavy, and tension had built up between his legs.

When he turned the water stream to the side again, the water filled the bathtub and created cloudy steam. Meanwhile, Shin Tae-oh looked at Se-hyun’s face and waved the suppressant in front of him.

“You need to take this, right?”

“…Give it to me. Huh, give it to me, please.”

As Se-hyun reached for the medicine, Shin Tae-oh shook his head.

“How are you going to take it when your hand is trembling like that?”

It was fortunate that he didn’t drop the medicine given how shaky his hand was. However, Se-hyun continued to reach for the suppressant, so Shin Tae-oh let it fall into his own hand. Then, he brought it to Se-hyun’s mouth.

“Open your mouth. Gulp it down.”

Se-hyun opened his mouth in response to Shin Tae-oh’s words. It was unclear whether the medicine was taken in, but Se-hyun’s Adam’s apple moved when he was told to swallow.

“Cough.”

He coughed, and one of the two pills flew out because he couldn’t swallow the suppressant properly. Shin Tae-oh hurriedly crouched down in the bathtub, scooped up water, and poured it into Se-hyun’s mouth.

“Gulp again.”

After confirming that Se-hyun had swallowed the medicine along with the water, Shin Tae-oh picked up the pill he had dropped earlier intending to give it again, but he couldn’t find where it had gone.

“Just one should be… fine.”

Shin Tae-oh was flipping his hair and glancing at Se-hyun’s condition when he suddenly turned the stream of water on his head. If Se-hyun had any sense left, he would have noticed his impulsive behavior and asked why, but he didn’t have the time for that.

“Haa.”

Shin Tae-oh, who had been constantly exposed to Se-hyun’s pheromones, clenched his teeth so hard that his muscles bulged.

“All of these pheromones so far… Have you been hiding it?”

Despite having smelled countless Omega pheromones before, this one was incomparably better. Shin Tae-oh tried to calm himself down by pouring himself with water as he felt the dizzying pheromone to the point where he wondered why he hadn’t felt this pheromone before. However, his arousal only grew stronger with time.

“I guess it’s not going to work.”

Shin Tae-oh suddenly stood up, turned off the water, and picked up Se-hyun. Se-hyun was still breathing hotly and rubbing his forehead against Shin Tae-oh’s neck. Shin Tae-oh gulped his rough breath as the crumpling of his nose increased the excitement.

Shin Tae-oh didn’t notice the magnificent night view or the interior of the suite on their way to the room. His gaze was fixed on the room, more specifically, the bed. He swiftly walked towards it with his long legs.

Shin Tae-oh threw Se-hyun down on the bed and immediately climbed on top of him. Shin Tae-oh could feel Se-hyun’s center, which had not been visible because he was crouching in the bathroom earlier, bulging hard, on Shin Tae-oh’s center.

From the tousled black hair on the white bed to the dark-toned suit pants, there was a stark contrast in black and white.

“I’ll take back from saying that you don’t usually have any facial expressions.”

Shin Tae-oh muttered as he looked at Se-hyun, who had such a sexy look in his eyes.

“I… Haa… Ah.”

“Do you want help?”

Shin Tae-oh leaned down and got close to him as if he was going to kiss him.

“Are the suppressants not working? Do you need an Alpha?”

Shin Tae-oh grabbed Se-hyun’s chin and turned his head to look at him.

“Do you need me?”

“…Yes.”

Did Se-hyun follow Shin Tae-oh’s words? Hearing that he was needed, it seemed like he understood, and he lowered his head towards Se-hyun.

“I don’t do one-night stands…”

One-night stands weren’t really his thing. It didn’t suit him, so Shin Tae-oh had never tried it before. But now, it seemed like the standards he had built up over a lifetime might be shaken.

“What if I say I’m helping you with this?”

Wouldn’t it be okay?

While Shin Tae-oh’s contemplation was leaning one way, Se-hyun’s lips moved as if urging for a kiss.

“Water…”

“Water?”

Shin Tae-oh was curious and put his ear to Se-hyun’s mouth, but at the same time, he was unexpectedly grabbed by the collar. Se-hyun forcefully shouted words akin to a protest.

“Put me back in place! Ugh.. haa.”

However, his hand quickly fell away, and as he was exhaling again as if in pain, Shin Tae-oh raised his head, placed his hand near his tingling ear, and made a clicking noise. He could still hear, but his ears were not working properly.

“If you endure being exposed to cold water like that, you will catch a cold. Trying to expel the heat and get sick?”

Shin Tae-oh pulled down his tie as if there was nothing he could do.

Now he too has reached his limit.

Shin Tae-oh’s mumbling ended there.

Se-hyun raised his upper body as if jumping the moment he regained consciousness. Se-hyun was breathing heavily and looking around, trying to organize his thoughts while combing his hair.

The heat hit him before he could take the suppressant, and he couldn’t do anything. Then he suddenly realized that his hands were uncomfortable.

“When did this…”

He ran up the line from the back of his hand and found the sap.

“You’re awake.”

Shin Tae-oh was approaching when Se-hyun looked in the direction of the voice. Dressed in a simple white T-shirt and jeans, he wiped his wet hair with a towel as he slumped onto the bed where Se-hyun was.

“What happened?”

Although the calm tone bothered him, it seemed more self-conscious to cut him off here, so Se-hyun went ahead and asked a question. And as if agreeing with that, Shin Tae-oh nodded with a somewhat resigned expression.

“Your heat came and I found you trying to cool it down with cold water. I fed you the medicine from your wallet. But that didn’t work…”

As Shin Tae-oh’s words became blurred, Se-hyun swallowed nervously. The method to calm the heat cycle seemed to be related to the relationship with an Alpha. He hadn’t experienced such a thing yet and had no intention of doing so. However, maybe he didn’t know. In the haze of the heat, something might have happened.

Se-hyun didn’t even have time to check his physical condition while waiting for Shin Tae-oh’s answer.

“Hmm… What should I say?”

As Shin Tae-oh tilted his head and chose what to say, it seemed like he enjoyed making Se-hyun anxious.

“Nothing happened. I just administered first aid and you slept until now. It’s been two days.”

Shin Tae-oh stood up after checking the date.

“I have to go to work. Get some more rest before you go.”

After he waved his hand with a fresh face and disappeared, Se-hyun, who was left alone, sighed in despair. Two days had passed; did that mean he extended this suite? What about Yoo Jin-ha?

“What on earth happened?”

It was fortunate that nothing happened, but there was a lot of discomfort. Especially, Shin Tae-oh’s reaction was too indifferent. He wondered what was strange about it when it suddenly dawned on Se-hyun.

“Shin Tae-oh doesn’t know my trait…”

He mentioned the heat cycle so naturally earlier. It was only natural to be caught since he showed it like that, but there was no question of why he hid it. Se-hyun wondered if it was just his feeling, but it looked like Shin Tae-oh was running away when he left.

“I feel uncomfortable. What happened?”

Sighing, Se-hyun belatedly got up from the blanket. The dull ache in his waist was probably because he had been lying down for a long time.

… At least other places didn’t hurt.
