by jj.ssasipscoffeeChapter 25: [Valentine’s Day Special] – Mini Side Story
“Lin Xi, do you know what day it is tomorrow?” Wen Feng pressed him against the entrance, his gaze raw and direct.
Lin Xi slightly tilted his head up, eyes curving into a smile. Of course, he knew what day it was.
“I know, it’s Valentine’s Day.”
“Lin Xi, I want gifts, flowers, the comics you drew, and your kisses.” Wen Feng wrapped both arms around his waist, pulling him even closer, listing off his demands while looking at the little bunny in his arms.
Lin Xi felt a little embarrassed under his gaze. He rested his chin on Wen Feng’s broad shoulder and said, affectionately, “Okay, got it!”
“Then I’ll come pick you up early from work tomorrow.” After thinking for a moment, he still felt unsatisfied. He wanted to spend the entire day with Lin Xi.
“Forget it, let’s take the day off and go on a date, alright?”
Lin Xi moved away from his shoulder.
“No, I have to go to work.”
Wen Feng’s expression couldn’t hide his disappointment.
Lin Xi kissed the corner of his silent lips and softly said, “I’ll come back early. How about we go to that dessert shop?”
He didn’t say the name of the dessert shop, but Wen Feng knew exactly which one he meant.
His husband loved his work even more than he did. What could he do? He could only go along with him..
“Alright, your choice.”
Lin Xi had assumed that everyone would be at work on this day like him, but when he arrived at the office, he realized that aside from the employees who were already single, many had taken the day off.
Kong Zhao and Lu Mingyu were both missing.
Lin Xi sent Kong Zhao a message: “Kong Zhao, aren’t you coming to work today?”
After a long while, Kong Zhao replied: “This young master is currently on a date. Do not disturb, thank you!”
……
Thinking of Wen Feng’s disappointed look yesterday, Lin Xi stayed silent for a long time before finally deciding to use one of the many vacation days he had saved.
He first selected a flower shop on his phone, then took out drawing paper and watercolors from his drawer to paint the scene he had already envisioned.
Lin Xi didn’t have Wen Feng pick him up; he went to Wen Feng’s company himself.
On the top floor of the International Trade Building, Wen Feng was in a meeting room, attending a meeting.
Assistant Liang saw Lin Xi carrying a huge bouquet and was surprised, about to go inform Wen Feng.
Lin Xi immediately made a “shh” gesture at him.
He quietly said to Liang, “Don’t tell him yet. I’ll wait for him in his office.”
Liang looked at him with a kind smile. “Alright, Mr. Lin. When Wen Feng sees you later, he’ll be extremely happy.”
Although Lin Xi was eager to see him too, he wanted to give Wen Feng an unexpected surprise.
The meeting ended, and Wen Feng returned to his office. Just as he opened the glass door, a large bouquet suddenly appeared in front of him.
Lin Xi was hiding behind the flowers, shaking the heavy bouquet in his hands.
“President Wen, may we go on our date now?”
The voice behind the flowers was so lovely that even the coldest heart would melt like water.
Wen Feng held the flowers in his arms, and Lin Xi’s fair and handsome face was finally revealed. Wen Feng’s eyes curved into a smile, like a crescent moon, like stars, like the Milky Way.
Wen Feng laughed and said, “I’m delighted, my little bunny.”
He looked down at the meticulously wrapped blue bouquet in his hands, then back at the person in front of him.
“What’s the flower language of ‘forget-me-not’[1]?”
He already knew, but he still wanted to hear it from Lin Xi himself.
Lin Xi’s ears turned red, and his heart beat faster.
“It means eternal love and an unchanging heart.”
Wen Feng’s gaze gradually burned with heat. He slowly nodded and pressed a gentle kiss on Lin Xi’s smooth forehead.
“Mm, thank you. I really like it.”
Lin Xi pulled him toward the sofa in the office and handed him the comic he had drawn.
“I drew it on short notice, it might not be very good.”
On the white paper, two people pressed their foreheads together, leaning on each other, holding hands, as if they had been together for a long time—ordinary yet warm.
“It’s wonderful.”
Wen Feng never grew tired of collecting Lin Xi’s comics. His office desk no longer had any free space; the black marble surface was filled with Lin Xi’s works, and some were placed on the bookshelf against the wall.
At that moment, Lin Xi found himself pressed between the bookshelf and Wen Feng.
“I like all your gifts.”
“But there’s still one missing.”
Wen Feng asked for his final gift.
Lin Xi felt his cheeks flush, almost able to hear his own heartbeat. He couldn’t control his excitement, even his breathing subconsciously softened.
Wen Feng stared at him with obsession, eyes burning with desire.
He held Lin Xi within his territory, waiting for the little bunny in his arms to kiss him of his own will.
His deep brown eyes glowed like amber, drawing in Lin Xi’s soul. Lin Xi held Wen Feng’s arm, gently closed his eyes, and kissed those captivating eyes.
The most beautiful things in the world are a person’s eyes, which can reveal endless love and hope.
He wanted to leave his mark on Wen Feng’s unique eyes with a kiss.
Time seemed to stop, the surroundings fell silent, and in this little world, it was just the two of them.
After a long while, Lin Xi finally forced his lips away from Wen Feng’s eyes.
He smiled and said, “Is that enough?!”
Wen Feng held him tightly in his arms.
“Mm, I like this too.”
“Please, Mr. Lin, my little bunny, kiss your lover more often in the future.”
Lin Xi obediently said in his embrace, “Alright, got it!”
They stayed cuddled in the office for quite a while before Wen Feng finally took him to the dessert shop.
The shop was decorated with a festive atmosphere, with plenty of pink flowers at the entrance and inside, and many blue and pink ribbons fluttering gently in the breeze.
Outside, two little bear mascots welcomed the customers.
As soon as Wen Feng and Lin Xi arrived at the entrance, one of the bears handed them a pink rose. The bear was also holding a sign that read: “Couples who enter today enjoy half-price desserts.”
Lin Xi had assumed it was enough just to be a couple, but apparently, there were conditions.
At checkout, the server said, “Choose either a princess carry or a kiss, and you can enjoy the half-price discount!”
Lin Xi looked at Wen Feng, a little embarrassed. The shop was crowded, and there were people lined up behind them.
Wen Feng rubbed his head. Then he turned to the server and said, “No need, full price is fine.”
Lin Xi exhaled in relief.
Wen Feng wasn’t short on money; he didn’t want to see Lin Xi feel uncomfortable or have to do anything he didn’t want to do. Lin Xi was shy, and in public, they rarely showed any overly intimate gestures.
Wen Feng led him to their familiar spot. Lin Xi had worked part-time there for three years, and Wen Feng had often come, always sitting in this same spot, watching the young man bustle about.
Lately, he had always come with Lin Xi.
Wen Feng had realized the wish he’d once kept in his heart.
He scooped a spoonful of dessert and fed it to Lin Xi.
“Delicious?”
“Delicious.” Lin Xi nodded.
So Wen Feng continued feeding him.
His mouth accidentally brushed against some cream. Lin Xi didn’t notice, but Wen Feng saw it and felt a warmth surge through him, spreading across his body.
Lin Xi’s lips moved gently, swallowing the dessert.
Suddenly, Wen Feng stopped. His throat rolled, and he raised his thumb to wipe the cream from Lin Xi’s lips and put it into his own mouth, licking his fingers clean.
Lin Xi froze, his face instantly flushed.
He looked at the man in front of him and pushed the remaining half of the dessert toward him, stammering, “D-Do you… want some?”
“Then feed me.”
Lin Xi picked up the spoon, scooped a corner of the dessert, and brought it to Wen Feng’s mouth.
Wen Feng slowly opened his mouth and took the cake in.
After tasting it for a moment, he said, “Not as good as you.”
His gaze lingered on Lin Xi, unwilling to look away.
Lin Xi felt an electric thrill run through his entire body from that look.
When they were leaving, Wen Feng also packed a portion of the same dessert they had just eaten.
Wen Feng held his hand and led him to the car.
“Let’s go, time to head home.”
It was still early, and Lin Xi had originally wanted to walk around a bit more, but Wen Feng seemed impatient, driving quickly all the way.
The car slowly entered the villa, and the electronic auto-recognition system opened the gate for them.
Usually, there was only one car in the yard—Wen Feng’s.
But today, in addition to Wen Feng’s usual parking spot, there was another car.
Lin Xi wondered if they had guests at home.
He hurriedly opened the car door, intending to check inside.
Suddenly, Wen Feng grabbed his hand and placed a car key with a winged emblem into his palm.
Lin Xi looked at him, puzzled.
“This is your Valentine’s Day gift! Go see for yourself.”
Lin Xi’s eyes widened—Wen Feng had gifted him a car.
Although he didn’t know much about cars, he still recognized that this one was far more expensive than Wen Feng’s usual car.
Lin Xi stood frozen, feeling a bit overwhelmed.
“I don’t usually drive… you and Assistant Liang could just pick me up.”
Wen Feng wrapped his arms around Lin Xi’s waist and spoke gently: “You can drive yourself in the future, but be careful. Don’t drive too fast.”
Lin Xi said nothing.
Wen Feng lowered his head, pressing his forehead against Lin Xi’s.
“Occasionally, you can also drive to pick me up after work.”
“Is that okay, my little bunny?”
Finally, a smile appeared on Lin Xi’s fair face.
“Alright.”
“Go see for yourself.”
Lin Xi took the key and pressed the emblem in the center of the wings, facing a car every man dreams of.
The white headlights blinked twice.
“Mr. Lin Xi, please get in.” It was the smart voice system.
Lin Xi looked at Wen Feng in surprise.
Wen Feng had already prepared for this, smiling at him.
When he opened the car door, he was completely stunned.
The entire interior was filled with flowers, leaving no space untouched. The original interior was almost unrecognizable. Pink, white, and pale purple roses were packed together, each in full bloom, dreamy and surreal. The blue starry ceiling slowly flowed like a bursting aurora, shining over hundreds of roses. In this unique space, the beauty was beyond words, unparalleled.
On the driver’s seat sat a little bunny plush toy, like the little master of this car.
Lin Xi felt as if he had stepped into a beautiful dream.
Lin Xi stared at the scene before him, unable to pull himself together.
Wen Feng looked at him, noticing his daze, and asked, “Do you like it?”
Lin Xi stood by the car door, turning to look at him, his eyes slightly misty.
“When did you prepare this?”
“When you left for work this morning.”
No wonder he had Wen Liang send him to work today—it was all to prepare this at home.
He looked into Wen Feng’s eyes and spoke word by word, “I like it. It’s beautiful. Only you would give me this many flowers. I really like it.”
Wen Feng held him in his arms, gently patting his back.
“Then I’ll give you more in the future, alright?”
Lin Xi nodded in his embrace.
“Okay.”
Wen Feng pushed him onto the back seat and kissed his lips. The roses beneath them served as a cushion—each rose carefully prepared by Wen Feng, with no thorns.
Lin Xi felt sorry for the flowers being crushed and gently pushed at the man on top of him.
“The flowers… they’re all squashed.”
Wen Feng kissed him on the lips, his voice loud.
“It’s okay. We’ll buy more tomorrow.”
Lin Xi held his sleeve, frowning slightly.
“But tomorrow isn’t Valentine’s Day.”
“Every day with you is Valentine’s Day. We can have flowers every day.”
Wen Feng opened the dessert they had brought along, took a bite of the cream, and kissed Lin Xi again. The cream melted and swirled between their mouths.
The kiss was long and sweet.
From sunset to nightfall, the car interior became a dreamy haven. Petals scattered everywhere. The roses beneath them were glistening with dew-like liquid, and soft, intimate moans filled the space.
Their nerves and senses had already drifted away.
Lin Xi wrapped his legs around Wen Feng’s waist, not letting him go. He wanted more love, more touches, more kisses. He wanted Wen Feng to stay within him endlessly.
In the car, over and over again, their sweat- and liquid-soaked bodies were scattered with petals. They seemed lost in a sea of flowers, floating between heaven and earth.
At one point, Wen Feng held a rose in his mouth and passed it to Lin Xi.
Lin Xi’s face was flushed from desire. His gaze was dazed, and he bit the pink rose, looking stunning and incredibly alluring. It was as if a little rabbit spirit had been left to be devoured entirely.
Wen Feng’s eyes were bloodshot, his pupils full of possessiveness. He held Lin Xi tightly, breathing heavily as he exerted himself.
“Xi Xi, happy Valentine’s Day!”
Lin Xi bit the rose, letting out a soft whimper, but the words “Happy Valentine’s Day” could still be faintly heard.
(To be continued)
Author’s Note:
(The following is the original author’s note)
PS. This chapter was written while I was slacking off at work. It flowed naturally, without a single hiccup, as if the two of them were guiding me to record this seemingly ordinary yet deeply meaningful day.
Finishing it felt truly magical — I thought, “Hmm~ it’s done?” — without the usual difficulty or frustration I normally face when writing.
Lastly, and most importantly, I wish Xixi and President Wen eternal happiness in a parallel world!
Footnotes:
- ‘forget-me-not’: The forget-me-not is a small, delicate flower with five petals, usually bright blue with a yellow center. Its name and symbolism date back to European folklore, where it was associated with true love, remembrance, and fidelity. The phrase “forget-me-not” literally means a plea to be remembered, and over time the flower came to symbolize eternal love and an unchanging heart. ↑
