Yoohyun checked on the deeply sleeping Bokseung and left the house.

He used to scoff at people who drank when they were going through a hard time, but now he was in that exact situation. It was hard to endure today with a sober mind.

He could have let it go, telling himself it was understandable to be rejected right after confessing, and that the reason was absurd. However, this time, it wasn’t a situation he could easily accept and move on from. For that, his possessiveness and feelings for Bokseung were not light.

Barely swallowing the sigh that rose from deep within, Yoohyun closed the car door and went up to the top of the building.

His one and only friend, Yoo Sunjung, was already there waiting for him.

    “Yo, welcome!”

    “Yeah.”

Sunjung furtively glanced at his friend’s face, whom he hadn’t seen in a long time.

Didn’t he just go through a harsh rut? He even said he barely suppressed it with inhibitors, so he should look a bit haggard, but why does his face seem to glow even more than before? The world is so unfair.

“By the way, what’s the occasion for asking to meet at a place like this today?”

    “Just wanted to drink.”

“Really? What about Bokseung? You didn’t come together?”

At the mention of Bokseung’s name from Sunjung’s lips, Yoohyun’s brow furrowed.

    “Hmm?”

Shouldn’t the Hwang Yoohyun of today have a face that softens like the spring sun at the mere mention of Bokseung’s name? But what’s with this murderous reaction now?

This time, Sunjung observed Yoohyun for a different reason than before.

Is he mad at me? That can’t be it. I already cursed him out over the phone about what happened during his rut and we were done with it. Hwang Yoohyun isn’t the type to hold a grudge over something like that. What the hell is it, then?

“Hey, hey. Did you fight with Bokseung?”

    “No.”

“I guess Bokseung is no match for you anyway. Last time, when you were in your rut, he turned pale and didn’t know what to do. Do you think that timid kid would ever properly voice any complaints to you?”

Sunjung kept it a secret that the ‘timid Bokseung’ had grabbed him by the collar and spewed a nonstop stream of profanities. That’s just how people become when they’re in extreme situations.

Listening to Sunjung’s words, Yoohyun let out an empty laugh.

“You’re right. What could Kim Bokseung do to me.”

I’m the only one who’s desperately hung up on him.

    Yoohyun’s self-deprecating words followed.

His attitude was so different from usual that Sunjung lowered his thick eyebrows into a sad shape and nudged Yoohyun.

“Hey, what’s wrong with you! You look like a man at death’s door! What, did Bokseung say he hates you? Did he tell you to get lost?”

Even as he added the last part, Sunjung thought that couldn’t be it. Because the way Bokseung had acted during Yoohyun’s rut was exactly like an Omega worrying about his Alpha. There was no way a kid like that would tell Hwang Yoohyun to get lost. What the hell is going on!!

“Forget it, I just called you today because I wanted to drink.”

Yoohyun brushed Sunjung’s hand away and poured alcohol into his glass.

“The reason I called you is to take me to a hotel instead of home if I get drunk.”

“What? You’re going to drink enough to get drunk?”

    “Yeah.”

    “Really? Then me too!”

Sunjung excitedly placed an order. Yoohyun’s face, which looked like it held a sad story, was no longer in Sunjung’s field of vision.

The two Alphas drank really well.

As if to prove they were drinking to get drunk, every time their glasses emptied, they filled them to the brim with strong liquor and drank.

After about two hours, the two were soaked in alcohol, their bodies staggering.

Just as the saying goes that even dog poop has its use, Yoohyun had called Sunjung because he was the only one who could handle his physique. However, if there was one thing he had overlooked, it was that his childhood friend Yoo Sunjung was worse than dog poop.

Sunjung held onto the drunk Yoohyun and, with stumbling steps, headed not to a hotel, but to Yoohyun’s officetel.

And he excitedly pressed the call bell until the door opened.

How long had the drunken pair been waiting in the lobby? The elevator doors opened, and Bokseung popped out from inside with a surprised look on his face.

    “Oh, Sunbae-nims?!”

    “Hello, Bokseung!”

Sunjung, with Yoohyun slung over his shoulder, waved at Bokseung. His face was flushed red, and the smell of alcohol hung heavy in the air.

A few minutes earlier, Sungyeon’s eyes had flown open, startled by the sudden sound of the doorbell.

Blinking at the incessant ringing, he checked the time and saw it was past 3:40 in the morning.

Who in the world could it be at this hour?

Worried that Yoohyun might wake up from the loud noise, Sungyeon hurried out to the living room.

And he was shocked to see the two people on the screen. It was because Hwang Yoohyun, who he naturally thought was sleeping soundly in his room, had appeared right there beyond the screen.

—Bokseung! Please open the door! This guy is so freaking heavy, you know? My shoulder feels like it’s gonna fall off!

Sunjung, whose tongue was slurring from being completely drunk, pressed his lips against the camera.

Horrified, Sungyeon quickly went out the front door and got on the elevator. It seemed better to go down and help Sunjung.

And so, at present, Sungyeon felt drunk despite not having had a single sip of alcohol. That’s how overpowering the scent of alcohol pouring out from the two large-bodied Alphas was.

“How could you drink so much…! You called him out, didn’t you, Sunbae-nim!”

Sungyeon all but threw Yoohyun onto the bed and then glared at Sunjung. At that, Sunjung shook his large torso and vehemently denied it.

“Whaaat?! No! I didn’t do it! That bastard Hwang Yoohyun called me out first today!”

    “Hmm?”

“It’s true! Yawn, anyway, I delivered him safely, so, I’m leaving!”

Letting out a long yawn, Sunjung waved his hand dismissively and headed for the entrance.

Sungyeon quickly grabbed Sunjung’s sleeve. Using only his index finger and thumb, just a tiny bit.

“You should sleep here too, Sunbae-nim. You’re very drunk!”

“Me? No, no, I’m going! I have to go to my big sister!”

Sunjung grabbed the wrist of Bokseung, who was holding his sleeve. It was a move to pull the hand off himself, but Bokseung had already slapped his hand away so hard it made a ‘smack!‘ sound.

    “Ouch!”

    “Ah! Oh, are you okay…!”

    “Bokseung, you little rascal!”

Sunjung laughed it off, looking at Bokseung who had slapped his hand as if he were a playful cat, and put on his shoes. Even though he was drunk out of his mind, Sunjung miraculously found his own shoes and got on the elevator.

Once Sunjung, with his booming voice, was gone, the house was filled only with a quiet stillness.

This is completely out of the blue, what on earth is going on.

Sungyeon looked around the living room with a dazed expression, then something came to mind and he headed to Yoohyun’s room.

    “Oh my.”

As expected, Yoohyun was lying on the bed exactly as Sunjung had thrown him. Sungyeon approached him to at least take off his outerwear and socks, thinking he would be uncomfortable sleeping like that.

He didn’t like how that nice pheromone was being masked by the strong smell of alcohol.

Sungyeon thought to himself, ‘Did he drink by the crate? He’s completely wasted!’ as he grabbed Yoohyun’s ankles and pulled off his socks, right then left.

Yoohyun’s pale, bare skin was revealed under the fluorescent light. His skin was already on the pale side, but now it looked completely like wax. It seemed Yoohyun’s skin turned pale when he was drunk.

Looking at the pretty ankle bone and white ankle in his hand, Sungyeon swallowed hard.

Sungyeon had lived his life thinking he was someone who was temperate when it came to sex. But these days, just looking at Hwang Yoohyun made the desire sleeping within his body awaken.

Just seeing his gentle smile, or the slightest touch of his fingertips on his body, made his body heat up, and he wouldn’t know what to do.

It was the same now. Just looking at Yoohyun’s pretty ankle made his chest tickle so much he thought he would go crazy.

Just as Sungyeon, who had deliberately turned his gaze to the opposite side from Yoohyun, let out a ‘whoo’ sigh.

    “Ha…”

At the same time, a deep sigh came from behind Sungyeon.

    “Huh?!”

Sungyeon quickly turned his head. Yoohyun, who must have woken up at some point, was frowning deeply.

    “Sunbae-nim!”

    “Ah…”

Even in his still-drunken state, Yoohyun recognized the pheromones fluttering toward him.

Ah, that idiot Yoo Sunjung. I told him to take me to a hotel.

The moment he opened his eyes, Yoohyun cursed his friend out internally and sat up.

As befitting a dominant Alpha, the effects of the alcohol were quickly leaving Yoohyun’s body. However, compared to his usual state, his current condition was quite precarious.

Yoohyun barely managed to steady his swimming vision and got off the bed to leave the house.

    “Sunbae-nim! Where are you going!”

And the one who blocked his way was, of course, Kim Bokseung.

Yoohyun didn’t feel happy at all seeing Bokseung so worried about him that he didn’t know what to do. It seemed the feelings of disappointment he had been suppressing were now bursting out indiscriminately after drinking.

Yoohyun raised a hand to stop Bokseung, who was trying to come closer to him.

At Yoohyun’s sudden action, Sungyeon made a puzzled face. It was a clear sign of rejection. Sungyeon stood rooted to the spot.

Why, why is he acting like that? Does he not want to show himself while he’s drunk?

Sungyeon couldn’t figure out why Yoohyun was acting that way and froze with a bewildered expression on his face.

It was already baffling that Yoohyun had snuck out while he was sleeping and gotten drunk to the point of being completely wasted, but now for him to suddenly frown and tell him not to come closer, it was a natural course of events for Sungyeon’s expression to sour as well.
