GJOW 1
by soapaGame Description
War Of Heroes
It is one of the games created based on AOS (Aeon Of Strife) and MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena). It is abbreviated as WOH.
In the WOH battlefield, there are a total of two factions. One is the Blue faction located at the top left, and the other is the Red faction positioned at the bottom right. A total of five players take on different positions (Top, Mid, Jungle, Bottom) to kill the opposing team, their soldiers, or neutral monsters to level up. They equip items, allocate skill points, and destroy the opposing team’s Guardian Statue to invade their base. The team that breaks the [Crystal] located right in front of the enemy team’s Regen Zone in their Castle wins the game.
Top: The uppermost lane on the map.
Jungle: A position that grows by defeating neutral monsters in the jungle, excluding lanes.
Mid: The central lane on the map.
Bottom: The lowermost lane, where the ADC and Support go together.
Laner: A position that plays in the lanes is called a Laner.
The WOH game divides champions into different categories. They are classified into four types: Tank, Dealer, Support, and Healer, as shown in the champion selection screen. No specific champions are mandatory for any position. Notably, Dealers have the most champions in the WOH game and are further subdivided into AD and AP.
AD Champion (Attack Damage): Champions that deal primary damage with basic attacks (often used by ADCs).
AP Champion (Ability Power): Champions that deal primary damage with skills (often used by mages, typically Mid Laners).
Top: Top laners usually choose from Tank or Support champions.
Jungle: Typically selects Support champions, but the range of champion choices is wide. Junglers choose champions based on their playstyle or the team’s strategy.
Mid: Mid laners primarily choose AP champions from the Dealer line.
ADC: Primarily chooses AD champions from the Dealer line.
Support: Chooses between Healer and Support based on the team’s strategy.
CS (Creep Score): Refers to soldiers or neutral monsters spawning on the map, excluding champions. The timing and number of spawns are identical for each faction. Landing the last hit increases the kill count.
CC Skill (Crowd Control): Crowd control skills that restrict the opponent’s movement or actions or induce specific behaviors.
Team Fight
A group battle fought in one location.
Warding
Using an item called a Ward to reveal the map, track the enemy’s movements, or uncover hidden areas.
Gank, Ganking (a variation of Gang + Kill)
When the Jungler joins an ally’s lane to provide an advantage.
Gangseung (a combination of Gank + Grim Reaper)
A situation where a Jungler goes to help an ally but ends up dying instead.
Roaming
When a Laner leaves their lane to support allies in other lanes (usually done by Mid or Support).
Monsters with Buff Effects
*Blue Goblin (respawns every 5 minutes)
Slightly reduces skill cooldown and increases mana recovery. Essential for AP champions.
*Red Wolf (respawns every 5 minutes)
Restores health when out of combat and deals minor fixed damage when attacking enemy champions.
Early Game Important Monster
Cyclops
A vision monster that spawns 5 minutes after the game starts. It helps with early-game operations by revealing the area in front of the Snake’s Nest, where the Hero’s Guardian and the late-game critical buff monster, Jormungandr, spawn. It provides vision without Sistine Chapel without consuming a ward. The effect lasts for 3 minutes.
Hero’s Guardian
Appears 10 minutes after the game starts. A being from the lore who became a malevolent spirit in the Snake’s Nest where Jormungandr spawns. Purifying this spirit grants the Hero’s Blessing to the faction’s map for a certain period, increasing damage to neutral monsters for easier jungling and boosting damage to enemy Guardians.
Late Game Important Monster
Jormungandr
A neutral monster that appears 20 minutes after the game starts, with a respawn time of 6 minutes. Defeating it grants the Snake’s Blessing buff, which lasts 2 minutes and 30 seconds, significantly boosting AD and AP (only while alive), providing experience and gold, halving recall time, temporarily increasing health and mana recovery, and strengthening nearby allied soldiers.
Troll
Appears 6 minutes after the game starts and respawns every 6 minutes. The type of troll is random, but from the sixth spawn onward, it is always a Giant Troll.
*Fire Troll (permanent buff): Increases attack power.
*Sea Troll (permanent buff): Increases health and mana recovery.
*Earth Troll (permanent buff): Increases damage to buildings and Jormungandr.
*Giant Troll (permanent buff): Enhances previously acquired troll effects and adds a fixed amount of damage.

New Season (20**) Team Roster
Head Coach: Ryu Seonghyun
Age: 31
Height: 186 cm
Nickname: Jjamong
A former professional gamer and current HS team head coach. He garnered much attention for his appearance since his debut as a player. He has tanned skin and slightly droopy eyes, giving him a warm, handsome look. His prominent nose makes his features striking but not overwhelming.
During his playing days, he was considered tactically unbeatable. He played StarWar for HS but retired abruptly for personal reasons. After a two-year break, he was persuaded by the team’s general manager to become a WOH coach. The general manager initially offered him the head coach position, but Ryu Seonghyun accepted the assistant coach role, allowing Whisper, who was originally set to be the assistant coach, to become head coach.
Whisper and Jjamong have been close since their StarWar days, even celebrating each other’s family birthdays. Recently, Ryu expressed great regret when Whisper took a break from the WOH team to join the team’s management office.
Everyone who knows Ryu Seonghyun praises him as far smarter than expected. Perhaps because of this, he took on the role of analyzing opposing teams and strategizing even as an assistant coach. He is widely regarded as a good person both within and outside the team, but as a fierce competitor, he is far from soft.
He is considered one of the legendary second-generation professional gamers, having made a significant mark on e-sports history. During his StarWar days, he was a rival to GX’s star player, HappyEnding. Even after retiring as a player and becoming a coach and head coach, their rivalry continues through their protégés, Choi Junghyun and Min Woo-joo.
The term “Hyun’s Blessing” originated from Ryu Seonghyun. It combines his knack for winning in any situation, his saintly aura, and his charisma. Since becoming a WOH coach, the term “Two-Hyun’s Blessing” has gained popularity among fans, linked to both Ryu Seonghyun and Choi Junghyun. The phrase “H’s will continues through Hyun” has become a meme. His skills are slightly overshadowed by his appearance.
His goal as head coach is to once again lift the World Championship trophy.
Jungle Coach: Kang Jaewoo
Age: 24
Height: 178 cm
Nickname: HS No.1 (match nickname), NumberTwoooo (regular nickname)
He rose to fame alongside Choi Junghyun at an amateur tournament hosted by an online broadcasting platform. Unlike Choi Junghyun, who did not stream, Kang Jaewoo was a broadcaster with a sizable audience. After performing well in the amateur tournament, he joined the same team as Choi.
Joining the team in the same year as Choi Junghyun, he took on the role of team captain last year but suffered a wrist injury. The team suggested rehabilitation while monitoring his condition, but he chose to retire and pursue a coaching role. Having achieved all he could as a player, he now wants to try coaching. His dream is to follow in Ryu Seonghyun’s footsteps, build his coaching career, and eventually lead his own team.
Top
Han Yongho
Age: 22
Height: 184 cm
Nickname: HS Captain (match nickname), TrueTopOfThisArea (regular nickname)
A top-lane enthusiast and concept-driven player. Early in his HS career, he faced criticism for poor synergy, but now people say, “Top laners! If you want to team play, learn from Captain.” He debuted with GX, one of HS’s rival teams. After their top laner transferred, he joined HS last season. Moving to a rival team earned him some detractors, but he remains unfazed.
He claims to have a bad relationship with Choi Junghyun, but they talk the most on the team. He’s the one who created the team’s intense concept-driven vibe. The team used to be quiet, but Han Yongho changed that and is very satisfied with it. He often says on broadcasts that he’ll stay with HS forever because teasing Choi Junghyun is so much fun.
Top
Moon Sejoon
Age: 20
Height: 176 cm
Nickname: HS Summer (match nickname), SpringSpringSpringSpring (regular nickname)
A top-lane enthusiast and concept-driven player. A former HS trainee who joined the main roster last season. Known for his top-tier physical skills since his trainee days. A carry-type top laner, he prefers to lead the game rather than focus on team play. He often says, “I’ll handle Top, so don’t make noise complaints.” He’s slightly wilder than Han Yongho but less noticeable about it because he’s quieter.
Jungle
Ma Dojoon
Age: 19
Height: 176 cm
Nickname: HS Together (match nickname), CherryMaru (regular nickname)
A former HS trainee who joined the main roster last season. Initially a substitute, he became a starter in Regular Season 2. He’s very sensitive to feedback about himself. He feels frustrated that the coaches overly favor Yoon Chorong, despite being a starter himself. He wants to perform better but feels stuck.
Jungle
Yoon Chorong
Age: 20
Height: 173 cm
Nickname: HS WinterI (match nickname), HS winterEye (regular nickname)
He has fair skin contrasted by dark black hair. His large, deep black eyes with thin double eyelids stand out, and he has a tear mole under his right eye, which he dislikes.
He has a low body temperature. His appearance often earns him comparisons to a harp seal. He’s often seen zoning out. Crowded places make him uncomfortable, so he seeks out corners. He’s a bit shy but not socially inept. His face screams “I’m gentle,” but he’s sharp during matches.
He debuted two years ago as a mid laner but switched to Jungle upon joining HS. His appearance drew attention at debut, and he was considered a promising talent, but lackluster team results led to criticism of his potential. Other teams were surprised when he joined HS, wondering if he’d shine or remain a substitute. Despite such opinions, Yoon Chorong is determined to give his all.
He tries to see the good in people… (except Choi Junghyun).
He tries to think positively… (except about Choi Junghyun).
He struggles to say harsh things to others… (except to Choi Junghyun).
His current biggest interests are grapefruit juice and HS. (Choi Junghyun excluded.)
Mid Laner
Choi Junghyun
Age: 22
Height: 188 cm
Nickname: HS Master (match nickname), Master (regular nickname)
He has brownish hair and light-colored eyes, earning him the nickname “cold handsome.” His slightly upturned eyes and sharp face shape complement his red lips and high body temperature. He’s often compared to the warm-handsome Ryu Seonghyun.
His emotions rarely show on his face, maintaining the same expression whether the game is going well or not. He rarely smiles.
Since debuting three years ago, he’s been the team’s cornerstone. A physical player with exceptional carry ability. If asked what he dislikes most, he’d instantly say Han Yongho. Known as “Choi Insolent” for his blunt attitude, he doesn’t care. Despite controversies, he believes his skills speak for themselves.
He likes skilled players and enjoys gaming with fun teammates. While others find Yoon Chorong cute, calling him “Seal” or “Puppy,” Choi Junghyun disagrees. He knows Yoon freezes up around him and gets defensive, showing his claws. He also recognizes Yoon’s competitive spirit and confidence in his skills.
He finds small, cute, precious things challenging.
Mid Laner
Lee Youngjoon
Age: 20
Height: 176 cm
Nickname: HS Illusion (match nickname), SummerCicada (regular nickname)
Self-proclaimed leader of the same-age group and an extreme concept enthusiast. One of the team’s mood-makers. He admires Choi Junghyun and wants to learn from his playstyle.
ADC
Seo Jiho
Age: 20
Height: 179 cm
Nickname: HS Maker (match nickname), BearPawGomting (regular nickname)
Among fans, he’s part of the notorious trio (Choi Junghyun, Yoon Chorong, Seo Jiho) that turned HS into an idol-like group. Highly sociable, he takes good care of the shy Yoon Chorong. He doesn’t consider himself concept-driven, but hanging out with Lee Youngjoon rubbed off on him. With a friendly demeanor and quick wit, he’s a fan of Master.
ADC
Choi Kyul
Age: 18
Height: 175 cm
Nickname: HS Sparrow (match nickname), WorldClassCarry (regular nickname)
He has a dignified, Tibetan fox-like appearance.
Yoon Chorong’s roommate and a movie enthusiast. His favorite movies are Frozen and How to Train Your Dragon. His phone case features Toothless, and his room has an Elsa figurine. Very quiet.
Support
Park Joowon
Age: 19
Height: 177 cm
Nickname: HS Wony (match nickname), BbiWony (regular nickname)
Having always played healers in other games, he started WOH as a Support but regrets it, wishing he’d chosen Top. He aspires to be the team’s wildest member and occasionally dreams of switching to Top. He sometimes plays Top in solo queue but finds it less fun. He enjoys taunting ADCs with “Take the lane, ADCs!” Ma Dojoon finds him scarier because he’s a Support.
Support
Lee Seunghyun
Age: 18
Height: 172 cm
Nickname: HS Lucky (match nickname), ZeroCalorie (regular nickname)
The team’s youngest member, newly joined. Closer in vibe to Choi Junghyun, Choi Kyul, and Yoon Chorong than the concept enthusiasts.
