    “What?!”

“Do you have any proof that Hwang Yoohyun sunbae-nim did that to you?!”

    Sungyeon shouted even louder.

“You blabbed about how you were going to do something to me, an Omega, before your rut even started, so you confessed yourself. But there’s no evidence that Sunbae-nim did anything to you?”

“Fuck! So you’re saying I was assaulted by you?! There’s no evidence of that either!”

“Then I guess you choked yourself.”

The Alpha jumped up and down in anger at Sungyeon’s indifferent response. But no one took his side.

Frankly, there were no witnesses or CCTV footage of the assault. They were just writing the report assuming the bigger Alpha must have done it.

Come to think of it, the initial report wasn’t about violence, but a sudden pheromone commotion. The reporters had shaken their heads, saying they hadn’t seen any direct violence or assault.

    “Now, now, calm down.”

“Crazy! Do I look like I can calm down?! I’m telling you I’m completely innocent?!”

“Ah! Come on! There’s someone even more wronged here, so why are you acting like this?! Huh?! Do you want to add obstruction of justice to the charges?!”

    “Ah, no…!”

Only when the police officer shouted did the Alpha quiet down, as if finally remembering his situation.

Sungyeon clicked his tongue inwardly, looking at the young and naive Alpha. And he very calmly continued what he had to say.

“I’d like to let this go quietly. If that person apologizes sincerely to me, and writes a pledge that he won’t misuse his ‘pepper’ again.”

    “Hey!!”

The Alpha’s subsided momentum flared up again.

Of course, he quickly cowered under the piercing gazes of the others.

“But! If he doesn’t repent for his wrongdoing like that, and continues to deny it until the end,”

Sungyeon paused for a beat before adding,

“I will do everything in my power to make sure that person doesn’t leave prison for at least 10 years. I will attach every possible charge, no matter how many years it takes, and put him behind bars!”

It was a statement filled with resolute determination. Sungyeon had naturally made up his mind to do so.

This was Bokseung’s precious body. This wasn’t something to be easily overlooked just because some random crazy Alpha blamed it on pheromones. It was unforgivable.

However, Sungyeon still had some of his old professional ethics left, so he wasn’t going to be too harsh if the Alpha truly repented.

And as if sensing Sungyeon’s resolve, the raging Alpha just rolled his eyes. He must have noticed the tenacity that would cling to him to the end if he didn’t apologize here.

Of course, that level of tenacity wasn’t difficult for Sungyeon. He had been to the police station dozens of times and the courthouse more than ten times because of troubled kids in the past.

He firmly believed that not just for Bokseung, but for other Omegas as well, the root of those who did such things had to be cut off.

If the Alpha didn’t truly repent here, Sungyeon was prepared to explore every possible way to sue him.

“Alright, just apologize a hundred times and say you’re sorry.”

The police officer also stepped in and urged the Alpha to apologize.

“It looks like Mr. Kim Bokseung is willing to be lenient, but if you keep pushing it, you might really meet in court next time. Right? You don’t know how strong the punishment under the Trait Persons Act has become, do you? Last week, there was a similar case where an Alpha was sued, and… Hey, Officer Kim! What happened with that case?”

“Yes? Ah, I heard that the evidence was quickly gathered, the Alpha was imprisoned, and the first trial sentencing is scheduled soon.”

    “Really? That’s fast.”

“Yes! Since the dedicated team was formed, the processing speed seems to have tripled.”

The police officers exchanged exaggerated words as if for the Alpha to hear.

The more they did, the more the Alpha’s face changed colors. Eventually, he squeezed his eyes shut and shuddered.

It was a scary story for him, who was only 20 years old. He could end up in prison before even going to the military. No matter how much he hated the military, if it was a choice between prison and the military, he would naturally choose the military.

“Anyway, think carefully. Should I give you some time?”

    “But, I was also assaulted…!”

The police officer pretended to clean his ears. It was a clear gesture telling him to bring evidence of his assault.

And at that moment, a menacing aura pierced the back of his head and cheeks.

Behind him was the owner of the PC room, who had a build comparable to an Alpha despite being a Beta, and next to him was a man who was clearly a dominant Alpha.

They say fists are mightier than the law. The Alpha, more intimidated by the piercing glares of the two men beside him than the police officers’ threats, involuntarily nodded.

    “I, I was wrong.”

The man bowed his head and apologized.

“No, why are you apologizing to me? You should apologize to Mr. Kim Bokseung here.”

The police officer, who had unexpectedly received the apology, waved his hands and kindly turned the Alpha’s head towards Bokseung.

The Alpha, making eye contact with Hwang Yoohyun before looking at Bokseung, hiccuped and continued his apology.

“So-, hiccup! Sor-, hic! I’m sorry…!”

“You won’t do it again, right?”

“Of cou-, of course! Of course I-, hiccup! won’t!”

“Make sure to take your medicine properly, and don’t live like that in the future.”

    “Yes, yes!”

The man nodded without understanding what was being said. Just as Sungyeon, pleased, was about to give the Alpha a lecture, recalling old memories,

    “Can we go now?”

Yoohyun asked, blocking Bokseung’s small body. It was the only thing Yoohyun had said since arriving at the police station.

The police officer quickly finished writing the report, had the three of them confirm it, took their personal information, and closed the case.

The Alpha, now frightened by his outburst, trembled as he wrote, and Bokseung’s lips twitched, wanting to say something more.

Fortunately, Yoohyun intervened appropriately, and the investigation concluded without further delay.

    “Then you can all go.”

The police officer sent the three of them off with a relieved expression. As the three of them left, along with the rampaging PC room owner, silence returned to the police station.

Finally able to breathe a sigh of relief, the officers looked at each other and laughed.

Meanwhile, Alpha Kim Yooseok, who had been practically pushed out by the police, trembled more and more as time passed.

He should have contacted his parents.

He hadn’t called his guardian because he was afraid his parents would kick him out if they found out, but now, he just wanted to hold his mother’s hand.

It was because of the men surrounding Kim Bokseung.

The ruthlessness of the dominant Alpha called Hwang Yoohyun was something he had experienced firsthand, and the man who came as the PC room owner was no less intimidating.

The man who always greeted him with a friendly face and offered service whenever he went to the PC room was gone, replaced by a figure that seemed to have risen from hell.

Only Bokseung in the middle had a clear expression.

    “Student Kim Yooseok?”

    “Ye-, Yes?!”

The PC room owner called the Alpha’s name correctly, as if he had memorized it in that short time.

“Be, be careful at night. Ahem! Be careful where there are no CCTVs. Okay?”

    “Gasp?!”

“Fuck, if you ever show up in front of me again, I’ll break your spine in half.”

    “Ack!”

At the chilling threat, Kim Yooseok immediately turned and ran. He didn’t even know where he was going. He had to get away from these people first. He vowed never to come near this neighborhood again. He also thought about immediately applying for military service.

Sungyeon sneered at the man running away without looking back.

    “Bokseung.”

Sungyeon, who had been sneering, immediately looked to the side at Hyungseop’s call. His pale face, even more so than a few days ago, was the first thing that caught his eye. His voice hadn’t sounded good on the phone either, it seemed he had a bad cold.

“Yes, CEO. Are you feeling better?”

“Sniff! I’m fine, is a cold the problem? Sigh, I’m so ashamed to face you. Ahem!”

    “No, it was an accident.”

    “Still…”

Hyungseop looked at Bokseung with a face full of apology. Sungyeon felt bitter at the sight of his friend looking at him as if he had committed a mortal sin.

“Fortunately, Sunbae-nim came, so nothing happened. Don’t worry too much and go in and rest. Okay?”

    “How’s your neck?”

Hyungseop’s gaze fell on Bokseung’s neck, which had turned a dark reddish color. Just looking at it made him feel suffocated and hurt.

As if sensing his gaze, Bokseung smiled awkwardly and touched his neck.

“It just looks painful because it’s bruised, it’s fine! You don’t have to worry!”

Despite the boy’s brave reply, Hyungseop was worried.

And that worry was cut short by Hwang Yoohyun.

“Fine? You’re quitting that part-time job right now.”

At the unexpectedly angry voice, Bokseung and Hyungseop, who had been talking, simultaneously turned their gazes to Yoohyun.

As if their bewildered expressions were even more incomprehensible, Yoohyun looked at Hyungseop and said,

“Even if you’re ignorant because you’re a Beta, does it make sense to leave an Omega alone working at that hour?”

    “What…?”

“Fuck, what if I hadn’t gone? What were you going to do? Were you going to end it with an apology even after everything happened?”

Yoohyun stepped closer to Hyungseop, not hiding his fierce expression.
