Comments
Thanks for the summary, Wony.
Thank you for the summary ^-^
So, this means they’re moving into the new dorm, right?
└ Probably so.
But then, we might not see WinterI in K-Cup…
Since he joined late, that’s likely, right?
Probably, since Winter is a sub, Together will likely be the main jungler.
Are they not filming a video to introduce the renovated gaming house interior?
└ I bet they’ll film and upload one.
Will Chorong also stream? I can already imagine the chat.
I don’t know why they don’t manage the chat during streams. Aren’t they too careless about the players’ mental health?
I was genuinely hurt during the first stream after Worlds.
If they’re forcing players to stream for hours, I wish they’d manage it more strictly.
“Jehoon!”
At the shout, Ko Jehoon, who was typing a comment, yelled toward the door.
“Why!”
“Chorong, did he settle into the dorm okay?”
Jehoon answered his mother’s question.
“Oh, I don’t know!”
“Give him a call!”
“Okay! Hold on!”
“No, you just got home, and you’re already locking yourself in your room?”
Here comes the nagging!
“Okay! I’m coming out, I’m coming!”
Comments
I wish the admins would properly manage the chat when Chorong streams. Thinking about the flood of comments already stresses me out.
While Jehoon was commenting, his mother shouted again.
“Ko Jehoon! I told you to clean up Arongdarong’s poop!”
“Okay! I’m coming, I’m coming. Why’s it so itchy?”
Ko Jehoon scratched his ear and headed out.
At that moment, someone with a hedgehog profile picture replied to Jehoon’s comment.
└ Don’t worry! The team will prepare well too!
To be continued in Part 1, Volume 2
Game Explanation
War Of Heroes
War of Heroes is a game based on AOS (Aeon of Strife) and MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena). It’s commonly abbreviated as WOH.
In the WOH battlefield, there are two factions. The Blue faction is positioned in the top left, and the Red faction is in the bottom right. Five players take on different positions (top, mid, jungle, bottom) and level up by killing enemy players, enemy soldiers, or neutral monsters. They build items, level up skills, destroy the enemy team’s Guardian Statue, and invade their base. The team that destroys the [Crystal] in front of the enemy’s Regen Zone in their castle wins the game.
Top: The uppermost lane on the map.
Jungle: A position that grows by killing neutral monsters in the jungle, outside the lanes.
Mid: The central lane on the map.
Bottom: The lowest lane, where the ADC and support go together.
Laner: Players who play in the lanes are called laners.
WOH champions are divided into categories based on their characteristics. There are four classifications: Tank, Dealer, Support, and Healer, which are separated in the champion selection screen. There are no mandatory champions for each position. Notably, Dealers have the most champions in WOH and are further divided into AD and AP.
AD Champions (Attack Damage): Champions who deal primary damage with basic attacks (often used by ADCs).
AP Champions (Ability Power): Champions who deal primary damage with skills (often used by mid-laners, typically mages).
Top: Usually chooses from Tank or Support champions.
Jungle: Often picks Support champions but has a wide range of champion choices depending on the jungler’s playstyle or team strategy.
Mid: Mid-laners usually choose AP champions from the Dealer category.
ADC: Usually chooses AD champions from the Dealer category.
Support: Chooses between Healer and Support champions based on team strategy.
CS (Creep Score): Refers to killing enemy soldiers or neutral monsters that spawn on the map. Both factions have the same spawn times and numbers. You must land the last hit to increase your kill count.
CC (Crowd Control): Skills that restrict the enemy’s movement or actions or induce specific behaviors.
Teamfight:
A group battle that takes place in one area.
Warding:
Using an item called a ward to light up the map, track enemy movements, or reveal hidden areas.
Gank, Ganking (a variation of gang + kill):
The jungler joins an ally’s lane to help gain an advantage.
Gangseung (a combination of gank + grim reaper):
When a jungler goes to help an ally’s lane but ends up dying instead.
Roaming:
When a laner leaves their lane to support allies in other lanes (usually done by mid-laners or supports).
Buff-Effect Monsters
- Blue Goblin (respawns every 5 minutes):
Reduces skill cooldowns slightly and increases mana recovery. Essential for AP champions. - Red Wolf (respawns every 5 minutes):
Restores health out of combat and deals slight fixed damage when attacking enemy champions.
Early-Game Important Monsters
One-Eyed:
A vision monster that spawns 5 minutes after the game starts. It aids early-game map control by revealing one of the main jungle paths without using a ward. It also lights up the area in front of the Snake’s Nest, where the Hero’s Guardian and the crucial late-game buff monster Yormungandr spawn. Its effect lasts 3 minutes.
Hero’s Guardian:
Appears 10 minutes after the game starts. A lore-based entity described as a fallen hero turned evil spirit in the Snake’s Nest where Yormungandr spawns. Purifying it grants the Hero’s Blessing to the faction’s map for a set duration, increasing damage to neutral monsters for easier jungling and boosting damage to enemy Guardians.
Late-Game Important Monsters
Yormungandr:
A neutral monster that appears 20 minutes after the game starts, with a 6-minute respawn time. Defeating it grants the Snake’s Blessing buff, which lasts 2 minutes and 30 seconds, significantly boosting AD and AP (only while alive). It provides experience and gold, halves recall time, temporarily increases health and mana recovery, and strengthens soldiers around the buffed champion.
Troll:
Appears 6 minutes after the game starts and respawns every 6 minutes after being killed. The type of troll is random, but from the sixth spawn onward, it’s always a Giant Troll.
- Fire Troll (continuous buff): Increases attack power.
- Sea Troll (continuous buff): Increases health and mana recovery.
- Earth Troll (continuous buff): Increases damage to buildings and Yormungandr.
- Giant Troll (continuous buff): Enhances previously acquired troll effects and adds fixed damage.
