[Little Forest 2 Inquiry Board]
Q. I got hit by the dice and died
-Time of occurrence: Today around 8 PM
-Inquiry content: So I was doing the Sky Tower raid in Skyland. My party members are my school friends but they’re all idiots (almost last in the whole school) and except for me, they all became incapacitated… We were close to reviving them, you know? But since I was the captain, I rolled the dice…. and suddenly died from getting hit by the dice…;;; We were almost done, just one more round and we would have finished, but because of this dice bug, I wasted my precious time. I only get to play games for two hours a week because of my parents, so even if you restore everything, aren’t I the only one losing time? My friends and I used a lot of recovery potions, if you don’t compensate for the loss, I’ll sue the game. You don’t want to get sued, right?^^ Then compensate us.
If you don’t, I’m going to play LoL ㅡㅡ
└ A. RE: I got hit by the dice and died
Hello♣ Dear Player~
After reviewing the matter, we confirm that the dice hit damage in the Sky Tower map is not a bug! If you don’t want to experience the same phenomenon again, we recommend quickly dodging after rolling the dice!
We apologize for the inconvenience caused to the player, and we will continue to strive to make Little Forest 2 better.♣
So that’s how it is. They probably went to play LoL…
/Party/<dldudns>: I found an inquiry post saying that there’s an extremely low chance of getting hit by the dice!
/Party/<dldudns>: They say to dodge it well on your own
/Party/<Ji9star>: ? What lolololololol
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: lololololololololololololol
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: A truly god-tier game answer
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: Never fails to disappoint
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: My game is an embarrassment wherever I take it
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: I’m proud ♣♣
As Earth Star returned to the starting point after rolling the dice, the party was all trapped in a round bubble, bouncing and moving spaces. Every time the bubble touched the ground, it made a boing-boing sound. When the player’s side moved ahead of the monkeys to the twelfth square, a spring popped out of the square, and all four of them were flung out of the map and trapped on a cloud island.
Cloud palm trees gathered around the deserted island, and a horde of monkeys started throwing bananas. Getting hit by one or two was manageable, but with multiple monkeys concentrating their attacks in one place, the HP drain was tremendous.
‘Pure White Cross’
‘The skill caster and party members’ HP recover a certain amount.’
Only after Yeo-woon alternately used three health recovery skills could they barely survive without dying. Especially Earth Star, who had the lowest level among them, saw his health drop below half in the blink of an eye, requiring Yeo-woon to pay even more attention to health management.
/Party/<dldudns>: This is surprisingly painful….
/Party/<Ji9star>: FML This isn’t a deserted island, it’s a beating zone
/Party/<Ji9star>: Last time I was soloing, I got trapped here on the second lap and diedㅠ0ㅠ
/Party/<dldudns>: Oh dear….
/Party/<Ji9star>: Protect me
/Party/<ThankYouInEnglish>: HO
/Party/<Ji9star>: Shut up
/Party/<Ji9star>: If it weren’t for this deserted island, I could have easily soloed thisㅜㅜ
/Party/<dldudns>: I see
/Party/<Ji9star>: What’s with that reactionㅡㅡ?
Yeo-woon just kept his mouth shut. No matter what he said, Earth Star would just get annoyed now. He tried to be as sympathetic as possible and even took his side, but he’s being so sensitive… Yeo-woon reached out his character’s hand and gently patted Earth Star’s hair.
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: Getting hit by dice and trapped on a deserted island from the first round, this doesn’t bode well lol
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: Should we just restart now?
/Party/<Ji9star>: No ㅡㅡ
Earth Star fired his gun upwards, but the banana-throwing mobs didn’t seem to be valid targets, as they taunted him by throwing even more bananas.
‘Paladin’s Armor’
‘Temporarily generates a shield equal to 50% of maximum health.’
ThankYouInEnglish raised a pure white shield, and a round light extended from the shield, enveloping the party members. With the tank using the shield skill, they could temporarily block the banana attacks. Yeo-woon carefully used healing skills to keep the party members’ health from falling below 50% as much as possible. His mana drained quickly because of this, but since he’d brought enough potions and food items to almost fill his inventory, it wasn’t a problem.
While the group was trapped on the deserted island for two turns, Mr. Monkey moved a total of ten spaces, getting ahead of the player’s side.
/Party/<dldudns>: I want to apologize in advance
/Party/<Ji9star>: Why?
/Party/<dldudns>: Because I think I might d1e a lot when we get into battlesㅜㅜ
Yeo-woon knew from experience that if he acted pitiful like this, she’d get less abuse even if he did get some. Even if there was a reaction, it would be something like ‘I didn’t think it would be this bad;;’ or ‘Damn, this f**ker’s dying all by himself lol.’ Of course, such insults didn’t really affect him and it wasn’t like he cared, but still, no one would feel good about being insulted. That’s why Yeo-woon’s survival strategy was to lower people’s expectations in advance.
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: It’s okay, newbies can be like that
It had been a while since he heard that. Yeo-woon smiled, remembering how the Poseidon guild members in Illusion treated him like a newbie and subtly took care of him. They had now removed the newbie label from him, but even now, if Yeo-woon needed help, they would drop everything and come running to assist him. He had heard that it’s hard to find a guild with a good atmosphere even once in a lifetime, so he was really fortunate that his first guild was Poseidon. It was also true that he became even more attached to it after meeting Yoon Ji-gu there.
‘Mana Shield’
‘Increase Magic Defense’
As Yeo-woon habitually gave buffs on the game board, ThankYouInEnglish, staying true to his concept, bowed deeply, folding his waist in half.
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: Haha, even mid-level newbies are still newbies, so we’ll let it slide
/Party/<dldudns>: I’m not a newbie, though
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: Hey you
/Party/<dldudns>: What?
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: We don’t need defense buffs right now
/Party/<dldudns>: Ah….
/Party/<dldudns>: Sorry….
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: lolololololol
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: lololololololololol so funny
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: It’s okay~
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: This is the time when people think using any skill is good
“…”
Yeo-woon scratched his cheek, feeling embarrassed for no reason.
/Party/<Ji9star>: Save your MP!
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: See? That newbie knows better than Forest Keeper lol Save it
/Party/<Ji9star>: lol
/Party/<dldudns>: Okayㅠ
Yeo-woon just crumpled into a corner at DeerStarRay’s words. Again, Yeo-woon had spent half his gaming life as a crafter, so he wasn’t familiar with hunting routes. Seriously. It’s not an excuse. If he gave his main character’s nickname, even DeerStarRay would probably recognize it. Maybe DeerStarRay’s main character was one of the people who used to line up asking him to make food for them. Yeo-woon felt wronged. I’m really not a newbie, he thought. I’m actually a veteran in LIFO.
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: lol It’s okay if Forest Keeper doesn’t know anything
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: Just trust and follow unnie~ I’ll carry you
/Party/<Ji9star>: Huh? I think I’m the one carrying right now? lol
/Party/<Ji9star>: What have you even done >ㅅ< lol So funny lol
Earth Star picked a fight out of nowhere, but DeerStarRay ignored his words and approached Yeo-woon, using an emoticon expression of pounding his chest. The motion looked so confident that it had the effect of making him seem even more reliable.
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: Just call me unnie
/Party/<dldudns>: Deer-nim
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: Unnie
/Party/<dldudns>: I’m a man, is that okay?
Although he was currently dressed as a cute little witch with twin tails, Yeo-woon was actually a fairly robust adult male. DeerStarRay used a shocked emoticon expression at Yeo-woon’s surprising confession.
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: Oh, is that so…?
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: Then unnie is a bit… lol
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: Sorry for arbitrarily cutting off your pepper! Then just trust noona^^
/Party/<Ji9star>: How old are you?
/Party/<Ji9star>: That person could be 50 years old, who says you can be his noona
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: I’m 1000 years old
/Party/<Ji9star>: lol
/Party/<Ji9star>: I guess they have internet in the afterlife these days?
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: Well, it is the 21st century
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: The afterlife has to develop too^^
The pointless conversation stopped as the game resumed.
‘The captain of the player’s side, please roll the dice.’
Returning from the deserted island to the original square was also done by a spring popping out and launching all party members at once, just like when they arrived.
“Ah, we’re free from the deserted island.”
Earth Star, not wanting to get hit again, quickly ran away as soon as he threw the dice. The dice that fell on the game board rolled another double 6. The player party moved a total of 12 spaces, overtaking the monkeys.
On the second square they arrived at, a treasure chest appeared, charging the party with 500 coins. These coins could be used to buy items that inflict penalties on the opposing side, or if you end up with more coins at the end, you win the game.
‘Danger! Battle occurring! Moving to battle zone!’
Just before completing a full lap on the board game, Mr. Monkey’s group stepped on a battle square. The warning message flashed red, and there was a brief map loading. After blinking a few times, Yeo-woon could see that the gauge bar had filled up and they had been moved to the battle zone map. Both parties stood facing each other on a large cloud.
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: Forest Keeper
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: ThankYou, use all your buff skills as soon as the loading is done.
Yeo-woon waved his broom in the air to indicate he understood.
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: And from now on, use all buffs as soon as the cooldown is over
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: We just need to survive for 3 minutes anyway, so don’t save your heals either, use them right away. If you try to save MP, you’ll end up in trouble
/Party/<dldudns>: Okay
At those words, Yeo-woon obediently pressed F2 to switch to the buff keyboard and started to wait. Although he wasn’t very confident in his control, he was confident he could do well in spamming skills at will since that didn’t require control!
At that moment, Earth Star suddenly cut in, blocking Yeo-woon’s view. His face was zoomed in large on the screen, and Earth Star’s nickname quickly rose in the chat window.
/Party/<Ji9star>: Hey
/Party/<Ji9star>: You
/Party/<Ji9star>: Hey
/Party/<Ji9star>: Hey hey
/Party/<dldudns>: Me?
/Party/<Ji9star>: Yes >_< !!
/Party/<dldudns>: ?
Why did he call so urgently? Does he have something to say?
Earth Star finally backed off and continued speaking quickly.
/Party/<Ji9star>: I saw earlier that you had a skill that increased attack speed and agility
/Party/<Ji9star>: What’s the exact percentage for that?
/Party/<Ji9star>: How much does the attack speed increase exactly? What’s the cooldown time?
Fortunately, the tank user’s computer seemed to be a bit slow, so there was still time to talk as it was still loading. Yeo-woon checked the detailed description of the ‘Shooting☆Dash!’ skill.
[Skill Name] Shooting☆Dash!
Rapidly moves the surrounding air to increase the agility and attack speed of the Forest Keeper and nearby people.
☞ Agility (affects movement and jump speed) increases by 5%
☞Attack speed (applies only to normal attacks and physical attacks) increases by 20%
☞Weapon used – Broom
Yeo-woon recited the information written in the skill description word for word.
/Party/<dldudns>: Agility 5%, attack speed 20%
/Party/<dldudns>: Lasts for 20-30 seconds, cooldown is 120 seconds
Earth Star jumped up with joy at Yeo-woon’s words, which had picked out only the necessary information.
/Party/<Ji9star>: That’s enough!!
/Party/<Ji9star>: Then it’ll work perfectly
/Party/<Ji9star>: Please save that skill
/Party/<Ji9star>: Use everything else except that one
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: Huh?
/Party/<Ji9star>: And when I ask you to use it, please use it right away, thanks!!
“…?”
Although he didn’t understand, he knew he wasn’t completely thoughtless. Yeo-woon didn’t
comment further on his words and put the ‘Shooting☆Dash!’ skill into an empty slot on the F1 keyboard. This was to minimize the delay in using the skill so that he could use it immediately when Earth Star asked for it.
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: Hmm? Agility isn’t that important here…
DeerStarRay, who had said it was okay to use all buff skills now, made a contemplative gesture as if something about Earth Star’s request seemed odd.
/Party/<Ji9star>: If it’s not important, then it doesn’t matter if we use it later, right? lol
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: Why?
/Party/<Ji9star>: You really don’t know anything lololololololololol
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: ?
/Party/<Ji9star>: I’ll show you later >_<
DeerStarRay shrugged as if she couldn’t understand Earth Star’s words. Yeo-woon felt the same, but he had a rough idea. Earth Star was obsessed with movement speed in Illusion too, so it seemed like he wanted to show off how fast he was this time as well. His strange obsessions were nothing new, so Yeo-woon was used to it by now.
‘But seriously, why do villains always wait for their opponents to prepare before attacking? If it were me, I’d strike first while they’re scrambling.’
Yeo-woon had an idle thought while looking at the monkeys waiting in attack stance. Monkeys waiting for the opposing party to be fully prepared… Far from ambushing, these villains who wait for the hero team to finish their transformation scene seemed much more righteous.
/Party/<ThankYouInEnglish>: Thank youㅠㅠㅠ
ThankYouInEnglish belatedly connected to the battle zone. Judging by the crying, it seemed he was sorry for being late.
‘The battle with Mr. Monkey’s gang begins.’
As soon as the player side’s tank entered the battle zone last, the fight with Mr. Monkey began immediately.
As they entered combat stance, the BGM changed. A tense and urgent melody played as if being chased by something. The screeching violin sound blended with the tune, creating a battle atmosphere.
‘Time remaining: 03:00.’
‘Time remaining: 02:29.’
‘Time remaining: 02:28.’
An hourglass flipped over and the timer started ticking. The time limit was 3 minutes. If they could withstand the attack for just 3 minutes, they could resume the board game. If the party was completely wiped out with no survivors within that time, it was a merciless system where the dungeon would reset and they’d have to start over from the beginning.
‘If I stand around here, all skills should reach, right?’
The minion monkeys rushed in frantically, launching physical attacks with their nails. Perhaps because the map was modeled after a utopia, when a minion monkey plucked its own fur and flicked its finger in the air, it multiplied. While one alone looked quite cute, when swarming together, it was a bit creepy. If not dealt with quickly, their numbers would increase exponentially, making it more overwhelming.
Yeo-woon laid down a healing magic circle within a certain range, creating a space where HP slowly increased.
/Party/<DeerStarRay>: Forest Keeper, good good^^
DeerStarRay really seemed to treat him on the same level as Earth Star, giving a thumbs up and praising Yeo-woon for every little thing, even though it wasn’t such an impressive skill. What’s so great about a healer healing? It felt strange, like being praised with ‘Oh, our newbie, you breathe so well!’
‘Paladin’s Provocation!’
When the tank made a loud noise, the monkeys’ attacks focused on him. He used provocation and shield skills alternately at the very front, taking a certain amount of damage with his large shield.
‘Dancing Pistol♪♬’
Earth Star spun around like a top, firing bullets in all directions. It looked as if he was dancing.
Earth Star jumped around and rolled on the ground, dodging the monkeys’ physical attacks and dealing damage, inflicting widespread damage to the enemy. Despite being more than 10 levels lower than others, his damage contribution was significantly higher. However, since most of his attacks were movement skills, he often moved out of the tank’s health protection range while attacking, making him the party member whose health depleted the fastest.
‘Witch’s Sacrifice’
/Party/<Ji9star>: Whew, I almost died!!!
Even though Yeo-woon had saved him from death about twice, Earth Star still flew around recklessly, not valuing his life. On the other hand, DeerStarRay, the shaman, stood quietly next to Yeo-woon, maintaining stable health by receiving heals while using skills. Whether it was because their jobs were different despite both being dealers or due to personality differences, it was interesting to see how different their playstyles were.
Hello everyone~
With the sudden incident few weeks ago, I need to move the story here. This undoubtly messed up the update schedule, so I can’t promise any advanced chaps at the moment. I’ll try to make the update back to normal, but it’s take time. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
