UPLB Ch 5
by soapa“What?”
It was an unexpected thing to say. His voice jumped in bewilderment. Yang Juwon scrubbed his face with both hands. When he swept his dry skin with his palms, there was a sound of flesh being rubbed. He repeatedly clenched and unclenched his fists before finally pulling at his sleeves again.
I wish he would do something about those sleeves.
“You said it last time. That if I went down on you, you’d consider seeing me.”
When? Choi Sungbin tilted his head. He didn’t think he would have said something like that. The man’s mouth wasn’t so desperate as to need such an easy premise. If he needed someone to spend the night with, he could find someone with a single phone call, a single message.
“What would I be lacking to say something like that?”
“…You said you’d see me if I did a good job.”
“If I did a good job, yes. You were bad at it, sunbae.”
“But you took my phone number.”
“If I dated everyone whose number I got, do you want to see my phone?”
He picked up the phone that had been on the nightstand and held it out. Yang Juwon chewed on his lip.
“You don’t even have the guts to look.”
Choi Sungbin placed the phone down on the table. He soothed his mouth with a sip of water. He sat down, crossing his legs on the chair. Without even thinking of looking up at the man, he skimmed through the piled-up messenger chats.
As his eyes scanned down the beautifully decorated and polished profile pictures, a dark shadow fell before him.
At the shade that filled his vision, Choi Sungbin raised his head a beat too late.
“Uh…”
He let out a slightly dazed exclamation. He was flustered by the unforeseen reaction.
Every action the man showed was outside of his expectations. In the alley where Hyena and I were kissing, when he followed me all the way to the bathroom to nag me, his sudden confession… all of his actions were like that.
And now, too.
“Are you crying?”
He thought this was the first time in his life he had seen a man cry. Choi Sungbin stared blankly at the man who was crying, shedding thick teardrops. It went beyond being flustered to being utterly dumbfounded.
“…Why are you crying?”
He asked in earnest. There was no reason to cry in this situation. For him to cry just because he played a little joke with his phone, there were all the things said up until now. His expression hadn’t changed one bit when he was openly ignored. Is he drunk?
“I’m asking you why you’re crying.”
Choi Sungbin asked, lightly kicking the man’s shin with his foot. He hadn’t put much force into it, but the man staggered backward. Then he ended up collapsing onto the floor. Although the hotel was cleaned periodically, it wasn’t like a guest room where the guests changed every day.
The man, collapsed on the floor, began to cry in earnest. As if he had been waiting for a button to be pushed. He broke down, sobbing and gasping.
“What in the actual…”
Choi Sungbin was appalled and horrified. He thought he was really seeing all sorts of strange things. He scanned the man, whose back was heaving as he lay collapsed, with a pathetic gaze, then turned his head toward the window.
What is this…
“Sunbae.”
“…Hic. S-sob, hu-euk…”
“Stop sniveling and answer me.”
“Snnniff…”
He did as he was told. Yang Juwon swallowed his sobs. The sound of his scattered breathing was grating.
The drunken man was not just pathetic, but repulsive. He was unable to grasp his situation and was floundering, intoxicated by his own emotions.
Following me around as he pleased, confessing that he liked me, saying he would do anything, showing his disappointment—it was all Yang Juwon’s doing. I never expected anything from this man. And yet he was the one sniveling.
“Hey.”
Choi Sungbin placed his foot on the man’s shoulder. He didn’t even feel a sense of superiority from looking down on him. He wasn’t even worth that. It was simply because he was annoying.
‘He should know the limits of his drunken behavior. So annoying.’
“Why are you crying.”
Choi Sungbin looked down at the man with eyes that had grown cold. The man, who always wore a sullen expression as if he had never even learned what emotions were, had a face filled with sorrow. Every time he blinked, teardrops carved paths down his cheeks.
“You, you…”
“Yes.”
Yang Juwon said in a voice thick with tears. Choi Sungbin half-lidded his eyes.
“I, you, I really… like you.”
“…”
“Can’t you just date me once? Please. You can do whatever you want.”
Does this man even know what “do whatever you want” means? The same guy who whined about being hurt after seeing me with Yeonhee.
I don’t understand why he’s going this far for me. What is this feeling of “like” that’s such a big deal.
“Do you have some ulterior motive with me?”
“No.”
Sniffling, the man rubbed his eyes with his sleeve. The rough fabric made the skin around his eyes turn red and raw.
“If that’s not it, why are you acting like you’re dying to date me? It’s not like anything changes just because we date.”
What’s so great about dating? Eat, drink coffee, have sex. That’s all there is to it. It’s not like feelings that weren’t there before will suddenly appear just because a relationship is established. It’s just… dating?
Yang Juwon fell silent again. Choi Sungbin, who had been quiet, scrunched one side of his face. He was chattering away just a moment ago, and now he was clamming up again.
“I’m asking you. Stop being annoying and answer.”
“I’ve been… you too much…”
Choi Sungbin set the man aside and went to get the e-cigarette that was lying on the bed. He brought the tip to his lips and then pulled it away. A plume of smoke that wasn’t entirely thick poured out.
“I’ve liked you for too long.”
“…”
“I know now what kind of person you are, I’ve accepted it all, but still, I just wanted to be by your side. I wanted to stop too, but after being by your side even for a little while. It’s not that easy.”
“There are people like that.”
Choi Sungbin was familiar with the things he said and the emotions he had, except for the fact that his gender was ‘male’. If it was the truth.
Occasionally, there are people like this. People who act as if there’s some grand reason for my refusal to settle down, and that if they embrace and accept it, I’ll come to my senses. People who act like saviors who have appeared in my life.
Honestly, it was just laughable. What do they know? Then are they saying I’m not in my right mind? And what about them, who are so hung up on a me who’s not in my right mind?
Choi Sungbin enjoyed this lighthearted life. So he had no generosity to spare for a man who was bawling in front of him, begging him to date. Especially not when he was drunk.
Is this pure love? It’s just being a pain in the ass after drinking.
“Get up.”
Choi Sungbin pulled the man to his feet. He had him sit across from him and straightened his sleeves. The elastic bands around the cuffs were all stretched out.
“How much… did you drink?”
“Soju…”
His already stuffy voice became even more drawn out.
“Six bottles, I think…”
“Are you crazy? Who did you drink that much with? You don’t even seem to have anyone you hang out with.”
Yang Juwon sniffled and then answered.
“Alone.”
“At a bar? Wallowing in self-pity?”
“No, at home. …I had it with shrimp crackers.”
“Ha—.”
Choi Sungbin let out a hollow laugh, dumbfounded. Would he ever meet another person like this in his life? A person who drinks six bottles of soju with crackers as a side dish. How could someone be this pathetic? He drank himself silly alone, yet he throws his drunken tantrum in front of me.
“Why did you drink so much?”
“Because I was upset.”
“So why.”
“Because of you. Just. I. I went all the way to the parking lot. If it had been someone else, you wouldn’t have just left so coldly.”
Choi Sungbin cut the man’s words off sharply.
“Of course not. Because you’re a man, sunbae.”
“That’s why I was upset.”
That’s why I was upset. I was upset. The man repeated the same words. He was a classic drunk.
“Sunbae.”
“Yeah.”
“Do you like me?”
“…Yes.”
A simple answer came back. Choi Sungbin let out a long sigh. He pointed to a glass cup on the shelf.
“If I told you to break that cup and stab your thigh, could you do it?”
He met his gaze, pointing to the cup with his fingertip. The man’s once calm eyes were now shaking aimlessly.
“You can’t?”
“…”
“What if I stab you?”
“…”
“You said I could do whatever I want. That’s not okay? Then what exactly is it that I can do as I please? You don’t want to be upset. You don’t want to be in pain. Then what’s in it for me?”
Choi Sungbin left the man and went to the shelf. He picked up a cup. It had water stains from not being used. Although he periodically requested cleaning, since it was a person doing the job, it couldn’t always be perfect.
He took the cup and approached the man. He read the man’s expression. Just a moment ago he was sniveling drunkenly, and now, with his tears not yet dry, he swallowed his fear.
Choi Sungbin’s lips curved into a gentle smile. He picked up a water bottle and poured water into the cup.
“I’m kidding. You cried. Drink up.”
He offered the water to the man, but he couldn’t easily take it. He was searching for an intention. What is he suspicious of? Is he thinking I might have put poison in it? Choi Sungbin, for him to see, drank the water from the bottle. Without taking his eyes off the man.
“There? Drink. I didn’t do anything strange.”
Only then did Yang Juwon take the cup. He held the cup with both hands and drank the water. Every single action was cautious. He was slow, and sluggish.
In a word, frustrating.
“Why are you so suspicious?”
“…”
“Afraid I might kill you, sunbae? Why would I do something so pointless. What would I be lacking to do that.”
The man acted deliberately even while being berated. He took his lips off the cup, wiped the spot where his lips had touched with his thumb, and then set it down on the table. He pressed the back of his hand firmly against his lips to wipe off the slight wetness. Choi Sungbin took in the entire scene.
Everything is so clumsy. He was like that when he was sucking my dick, he was like that when he confessed, and even now, crying in this hotel room about being upset, everything was clumsy. Was he like this during sex too? No, does he even have experience?
Choi Sungbin, who was watching the man quietly, took another drag from his e-cigarette. He asked as he let the smoke out.
“Sunbae.”
“Yeah.”
“Have you ever had sex?”
How old was he again? Twenty-four or twenty-five. He couldn’t recall at all. He only remembered that he was a sunbae. He figured that was enough.
In all honesty, he wanted to drop the sunbae honorific and call him a stupid bastard, or a pathetic bastard. Though there was no need to maintain an image for a man, he was still a senior from the same department, so.
Choi Sungbin looked at the man’s wavering eyes again.
There’s no way he has.
Yang Juwon soon moved his lips. Choi Sungbin closed his eyes slowly and shook his head.
“Never mind. I’m not interested.”
“…Okay.”
“Sunbae.”
“Yeah.”
“Do you want to date me?”
The man answered by tucking his chin.
“As you know, I need to have sex regularly. But I have no intention of fucking a man’s ass. Or what, should we do a threesome? An older woman I know has a unique taste, but I refused because I have no intention of looking at another bastard’s dick.”
“…Uh.”
Choi Sungbin flicked an eyebrow. He stared at him blankly to figure out whether the “uh” was an exclamation or an answer. Yang Juwon, after biting and releasing his lip, replied in a resigned, pitiful voice.
“It doesn’t matter.”
“Really?”
“…It’s better.”
“Yes.”
“As long as I’m by your side, it doesn’t matter.”
“Isn’t that just what you want to do?”
“There’s no way.”
The man was still drunk. There’s no way. As he spoke, his voice became wet with tears again. He wondered if he was the type of person who only becomes honest when he drinks, but then again, he felt like he was always like that.
Maybe when he drinks, his patience gets flushed away along with everything else. He was loading emotion into every single word, things he would have normally just let slide.
Choi Sungbin passed the man and sat on the edge of the bed. Until he started crying, he had wondered what the hell kind of bastard this was, but it was slowly starting to get interesting.
“How far can you go?”
“…”
“If I tell you to kneel, will you kneel?”
At his casual words, the man obediently knelt down. At that, Choi Sungbin couldn’t hold it back and let out a small laugh. Puheup. At that reaction, the man looked up with his wet eyes. He seemed not to know the reason.
He has no pride. No guts either.
Aside from the whining, he was actually acting more docile than usual. I don’t have this kind of hobby, though.
Choi Sungbin leaned his reclined upper body forward. He became excessively close to the man. It would be a lie to say his sobbing breaths weren’t grating. Not a delicate breath, but a moderately heavy and low one.
“Why are you so obedient? You do everything I say. Are you always like this?”
“Almost…”
“Were you a son who listened well? Did you listen to your teachers well too?”
The man didn’t answer, but the eyes that met his held a light of affirmation. Choi Sungbin intentionally curved his eyes into a smile.
His ill temper flared up at the well-raised boy. He must have obediently listened to everything his parents told him to do and worked hard on his teacher’s words.
He felt like he somehow knew why the man was even more annoying. A son who was raised with plenty of love—do his parents know that their son is on his knees under a bastard with the same parts?
A sneer formed on his lips. He was intentionally more sarcastic.
“If you’re always like that, then I don’t need to feel guilty, do I?”
“…”
“You listen to anyone’s words. But because you like me, you listen just a little bit better, is that it?”
Choi Sungbin intentionally put a little force into his pronunciation. Not for any big reason. Just so that even though he was clearly a disrespectful junior, he might sound a little bit cute.
Choi Sungbin smiled. A good idea came to mind. He became curious about how the man, who was staring up at him blankly, would react.
He decided to bestow a gift upon him, the one who said it was okay, that he could do anything.
“Okay. Let’s do that.”
“…Do what?”
Choi Sungbin immediately grabbed his phone. Without hesitation, he searched through his call log. He didn’t have to scroll far to find a familiar name. He made the call, and shortly after, the other person’s voice was heard.
“Noona, it’s me.”
—What’s up with you calling first?
Though her tone was prickly, it was filled with pleasure. Choi Sungbin looked at the man. He watched the man who was still kneeling in front of him. He looks perfectly fine, so why does he live like that.
He immediately threw out the main point.
“Noona, last time you said you wanted to try a threesome. With two guys. I was wondering if that’s still on the table.”
The color drained from the man’s face. It seemed like he was finally sobering up a bit, as he blinked his eyes several times trying to get a grip on himself. Choi Sungbin barely managed to suppress the laughter that kept trying to leak out.
“I’m with a school sunbae right now. It’s fine. He’s interested. He looks fine too. And his dick seemed fine.”
—If you say he’s fine, doesn’t that mean he’s handsome? You hardly even acknowledge other guys.
“Was his face more important? Then you’ll be satisfied.”
—But how do you know his dick is fine? Did you see it with your own eyes?
Choi Sungbin giggled. Seeing the man’s face made him want to laugh even more, so he covered his mouth with the back of his hand.
“I guarantee it. So what are you going to do. Want to come over now?”
—I just have to go to the hotel, right?
“Yeah. Come now.”
He ended the call. The dumbfounded man finally got up from his spot. He gulped down water from the cup on the table. His Adam’s apple bobbed up and down dramatically. He couldn’t even manage to wipe the water that had smeared around his mouth.
Choi Sungbin shrugged at the terrified man and said.
“You said you could do it.”
“…”
“I’ll see how well you do.”
The woman’s name was Semi. Honestly, he didn’t know her last name. She said her first name wasn’t her real name either. Other than that she was over thirty, he didn’t know her proper age.
The time it took for her to come to the hotel after receiving the call was one hour. In that time, the two men didn’t exchange a single word. Choi Sungbin took a shower, then lay on the bed, playing with his phone and smoking his e-cigarette, while Yang Juwon sat in the chair and stared blankly out the window. He let out a sigh from time to time, but Choi Sungbin ignored him.
After some time had passed, the doorbell rang. A lot of guests today. Only then did Choi Sungbin get up. He dragged his slippers and went to open the door. From behind him, he heard the sound of Yang Juwon’s sigh once more.
So frustrating. He could just enjoy it. He grumbled internally and greeted Semi.
“You know it’s rude to call at this hour, right?”
Semi, who arrived in a comfortable sweatsuit, had a husky voice.
“Sorry. Did you have plans?”
“I took a break from streaming. I was planning on resting today anyway when you contacted me. Why didn’t you call earlier, what are you doing this late at dawn?”
Semi was an internet streamer. She usually slept when typical office workers worked, and worked when they slept. She grumbled needlessly, but it seemed difficult for her to shake off her curiosity.
Reading the curiosity pooled in her eyes, Choi Sungbin smiled, his eyes curving.
“That person?”
Semi naturally entered the room and shifted her gaze. Choi Sungbin moved aside to make way for her.
“Yeah. Sunbae, say hello.”
“So polite, Choi Sungbin. Even calling him sunbae.”
Choi Sungbin chuckled. The chair was pulled back a beat too late. Yang Juwon, who stood up hesitantly, bowed his head low and then raised it. Oh. Choi Sungbin looked at him with an interested expression.
That bastard, he must be embarrassed.
Yang Juwon couldn’t meet Semi’s eyes even once. He hesitated and then ended up swallowing his words.
At the sight of him pressing his lips together, Choi Sungbin scoffed. The bright red rims of his ears caught his eye. Just a while ago he was sniveling that he liked me, begging me to date him just once, even getting on his knees. And now he acts like a man.
“He’s handsome. Is he really your school sunbae?”
Semi’s voice was brighter than when she first came in. It was certainly better than she had expected. Even I admitted he looked decent. It’s just that his actions are weird.
“Yeah. He looks decent, right?”
Choi Sungbin replied with his arms crossed. He lazily shifted his gaze. The man was only looking down at the ground. Even though he could hear everything, he deliberately ignored the attention being poured on him.
Honestly, now he was curious how he would act. Though he followed me around saying he liked me, that guy was also a man. A man who would drool at the sight of a pretty woman with a good body.
“Noona, did you shower before you came?”
“Yeah. Should I shower one more time if you feel grimy?”
“No, it’s fine. Sunbae, go take a shower.”
Choi Sungbin gestured toward the bathroom with his chin. Yang Juwon, startled, looked around. Who else was there to be called sunbae but him.
“What are you doing. I told you to go shower.”
Choi Sungbin shrugged and followed the man’s gaze as it fell to the floor. The man chewed on his lips. He showed signs of anxiety, picking at a hangnail.
“Ha.”
He let out another sigh. Instead of answering, he wet his lips with his tongue. Only the woman, who didn’t know the situation, rolled her eyes. Yang Juwon finally bit his lip, rolling it inward.
Then, he moved his feet without a word. Choi Sungbin followed him with his eyes. The corners of his previously still mouth cautiously crept upwards.
“What’s your scheme?”
Semi asked after the man went into the bathroom. Choi Sungbin replied nonchalantly.
“He’s just a school sunbae, why?”
“I came because I thought it would be fun, not to play along with your pranks. You’re not bullying your sunbae, are you?”
She’s quick on the uptake.
The sound of water running could be heard from the bathroom. Choi Sungbin lay down on the bed. When he tapped the space next to him, Semi came and sat beside him.
“Aren’t you going to answer? I have a bad personality too, you know?”
With her long, slender fingers, she pinched Choi Sungbin’s cheek without hurting him. She said she went to the nail salon once a week to maintain her neat nails. She said the pushovers liked it. They look for a woman who might act cute on stream but can be demure and a good wife and wise mother when by their side. She had said this in my arms, after we had been intimate.
“Noona.”
Choi Sungbin pulled Semi’s hips and hugged her. Her long, flowing hair tickled his cheek. The fabric his hand touched was overly thick.
“Can’t we just play for today? Isn’t that why we met?”
Choi Sungbin slid his hand under her top. He found a gap and caressed her soft skin. He moved his fingers upward as if to tickle her. He unhooked her bra with ease. As he stroked her back up and down, Semi crossed her arms in an X and threw off her top. The unremoved strap of her lingerie slid down her shoulder line.
As soon as their eyes met, their lips crashed together. Their breaths and touches met, tickling each other. It’s soft. It’s good. This side was much better than the rough skin of men. Both for touching and for sucking and licking, he preferred women.
But what did Yang Juwon want from me? Why was he struggling so hard, wanting to suck a man’s dick? I didn’t want to understand, nor did I have any intention of understanding. The day I suck a man’s dick would be… he didn’t even want to imagine it, so he focused a little more on the kiss.
He sat the naked Semi on his lap and kissed her. Every time he moved his head, her long hair tickled the back of the hand that gripped her back. As the kiss deepened, their embraced bodies pressed closer.
Thud, a sound was heard along with a rustling presence. Choi Sungbin rolled his tongue, only moving his eyes. Over her shoulder, Yang Juwon, having finished showering, was standing there. The man who had just come out of the bathroom flinched in surprise and froze on the spot. Semi also slowly backed away and looked Yang Juwon up and down.
“Sunbae, why are you wearing clothes? Don’t you feel grimy? You’re going to take them off soon anyway.”
“…”
“Why are you making sunbae feel awkward—.”
A rebuke came from Semi, but she too seemed to know who the weakest person in this room was. Semi glanced at Yang Juwon and then whispered to Choi Sungbin.
“Is he maybe a virgin?”
“I don’t know. Not my business.”
“Ah—. So you’re not close.”
Semi’s hot breath touched his ear once more.
“He looks inexperienced.”
She swallowed a laugh, puheup.
Choi Sungbin watched the man quietly. As expected, there was no reaction. Though it was a whisper, in such a silent place, there was no way he couldn’t have heard, yet he just stood there silently.
Choi Sungbin wrapped his arm around Semi’s waist. She buried herself in his embrace and said to Yang Juwon.
“By the way, are you going to keep standing there? It’s a bit embarrassing, since as you can see, I’m like this.”
She probably wasn’t embarrassed about being naked. But it was fine to say that to Yang Juwon. Choi Sungbin supported her waist and kissed the woman’s cheek.
“That sunbae has been drinking. He might not be able to get hard.”
“Then why did you suggest a threesome?”
“He can still use his tongue, right?”
“Hey…, that’s embarrassing.”
Choi Sungbin slid his hand toward her groin. When he gripped her thick thigh, she pressed herself deeper into him.
“Sunbae.”
Choi Sungbin called out to Yang Juwon. He didn’t expect an answer from him. As expected, the man answered only with his gaze.
“Come here.”
“…”
Ah, come on. Choi Sungbin looked the man up and down. There’s a limit to how frustrating one can be. Tsk, after a short click of his tongue, Yang Juwon finally took a heavy step.
Yang Juwon settled on the edge of the bed. He placed his hands quietly on the sheet and, with his eyes cast down, couldn’t meet anyone’s gaze. Yet it wasn’t as if he was being timid or blushing with a curious gaze.
This too was very Yang Juwon-like. Semi finally took an interest in the now-approaching Yang Juwon. Like a toy she could play with, she approached him naked. With her small, thin hands, she held his cheeks.
Yang Juwon flinched and trembled. His gaze, which had only been looking down at the bedsheet, shot up to the ceiling as soon as it touched Semi.
For a man, he has some pride.
After a short scoff, Choi Sungbin lifted his chin.
“Sunbae.”
“…”
“Go down on noona. You may not be good, but you try hard, don’t you.”
“…I can’t do it.”
Finally, Yang Juwon expressed his intention. He opened his mouth for the first time since Semi had arrived.
Ohh—? Semi drew out the end of her word. Choi Sungbin watched the man’s face intently. The gloomy man closed his eyes deeply and then opened them, shaking his head.
Once he started talking, he poured out the emotions he had been bottling up.
“I can’t. I can’t do it. I really…, can’t do it.”
Yang Juwon was deathly pale.
Not fun, boring, and tedious. With what right does he ask me to date him. Shouldn’t a relationship, at the very least, have some level of compatibility? There was nothing that matched, and he had no intention of accommodating me either. And yet he just talks big. You can do anything. As long as I can be by your side.
“Ah, really…”
Choi Sungbin muttered under his breath.
“Then get out. Stop being annoying.”
Semi glanced over. She briefly read the room in the stark atmosphere. She quietly shifted only her gaze.
The man’s fingers moved, scratching the blanket. Unable to give any reaction, he bit his lip, rolling it inward. The tension in his jaw was palpable, but I had no intention of reacting.
“Just get out.”
Choi Sungbin said heartlessly. Shortly after, Yang Juwon got up from the bed. He gathered his belongings and went out without leaving even the sound of his breath behind. Tak—, though he couldn’t see it from the bed, he heard the sound of the door closing. Choi Sungbin wrinkled one side of his brow.
Semi, who had approached him at some point, placed her hand on his forearm. She asked, kneading along the shape of his muscles.
“Sungbin.”
“Yeah.”
“Why are you so irritated?”
Choi Sungbin closed his eyes deeply and opened them, asking her intention.
“I’ve never seen you get so irritated before.”
“I wasn’t irritated.”
“You even scowled, how can you say you weren’t irritated?”
Her neat fingertips rubbed his cheek. Choi Sungbin looked down at her short nails. He covered her hand with his.
Their hands overlapped. At that moment, he thought of Yang Juwon. How truly annoying and pathetic he was. Any other bastard would have rushed in with fire in their eyes. Whether he was some great saint, or if it was truly because of his affection for me.
But it didn’t matter. There was no need to even care anymore. Now that we’ve seen all there is to see, he must have pissed off on his own.
Choi Sungbin asked back, the corners of his mouth lifting.
“Was I? I’m not so sure.”
He pulled Semi in, laid her down on the bed. He climbed on top of her, took off his shirt and threw it somewhere on the bed.
“Yeah. I was surprised. It was the first time I saw you like that.”
“It’s okay to be.”
Choi Sungbin buried his head in Semi’s neck. He rubbed his nose against her soft skin, smelling the sweet scent.
“It’s okay to be?”
“Mmm…”
He mumbled his answer while sucking on her neck. With one hand, he gripped her breast. He continued speaking as he brushed his thumb over the hardened tip.
“It’s okay. With that sunbae.”
Because he brought it all upon himself.
“See you outside later. Let’s get a meal.”
“Hey, what’s a meal between us?”
At Semi’s words as she opened the door, Choi Sungbin chuckled. Even if they weren’t lovers, a faint sweetness flowed between those who had shared a night of passion. He pushed himself off the wall he was leaning against and fiddled with the ends of her hair. Just as he was about to pull her slightly closer and kiss her, Semi, who had glanced to the side, flinched.
Choi Sungbin followed her gaze. A gasp formed in his mouth. Ah. A sudden force entered his eyes. He was baffled. He never thought the man he told to get out would be squatting in the hallway.
How many hours had he been like this? He hadn’t checked the time, but several hours had already passed.
Choi Sungbin was genuinely impressed by the man’s persistence.
Wow, what is he really doing?
“I’m going to get going. See you next time.”
Semi, who had been watching the situation, said goodbye with an awkward face. It was a strange situation for anyone to see. Me, who had suddenly called for a threesome, and the man, squatting in front of the room even though nothing had happened.
“Okay.”
Choi Sungbin answered without sincerity. “Goodbye,” Semi said her farewells to Yang Juwon as well. Nod, Yang Juwon bowed his head and raised it as a substitute for a verbal goodbye.
After even the sound of Semi’s footsteps disappeared, only the two of them remained. Choi Sungbin looked down at the man with his arms crossed.
“Are you coming in?”
Only then did Yang Juwon slowly get up. He was, in any case, a man with no pride.
“Why didn’t you leave?”
Choi Sungbin handed a bottle of water to the man who followed him in. He likewise drank his own share of water. His body felt refreshed from the shower. Looking out the window, it was a time that was already nearing morning. After rolling around for several hours, it had somehow become that time.
Tonight, too, he couldn’t sleep. He was tired and his eyelids were heavy. He was also annoyed. The unique sensitivity of a person who hasn’t slept always lingered in his body.
He sat on the edge of the bed, leaning his body on his arms propped behind him. He had no expectations for what nonsense would come out. Yang Juwon fiddled with the water bottle in his hands.
“You told me to be out.”
“Telling you to get out meant to go home. It didn’t mean to wait in the hallway.”
Yang Juwon fell silent again. He opened his mouth when it was necessary and shut it when he was at a disadvantage. Ah, so troublesome and annoying.
Choi Sungbin couldn’t stand how troublesome the man was. It was troublesome that he followed him around, and it was troublesome that he interpreted things as he pleased. Honestly, he wondered what he was supposed to do.
Does he really want me to date him, make him completely lose all affection, and then break up? What is this act of ‘dating’ that makes him so desperate?
“Hmm.”
Choi Sungbin let out a short exclamation.
Yes, this way would be better, he thought. For a man who acts like he wants to date just once, it might be better to present him with a breakup instead. Then he wouldn’t be able to say much either.
Just because he didn’t date didn’t mean that relationships or affection were heavy. It was just troublesome. The fact that he had to pour everything into one person. The fact that he had to do it with only one person, not with whomever he wanted to date on any given day.
It’s tedious and boring.
But if this is what the man wants.
“Sunbae.”
“Yeah.”
“Is it because you really want to date me? It’s just dating, though?”
Only then could he meet the man’s eyes. His pupils wavered for a very brief moment. He couldn’t tell if he had shaken the man or not. He wasn’t even interested.
Since there was no need to hear his answer, Choi Sungbin waved his hand and said.
“Let’s date.”
“Huh?”
The man looked up with a dazed expression.
“Let’s date. You asked me to date you.”
Dating is a pain, but this is the only way to break up, I guess.
