“…No, why would I need bodyguards?”

And they’re S-rank hunters, no less.

It was overly exaggerated to have high-ranking hunters from Korea guarding someone like himself, who was no more than mana hypersensitivity patient.

What reason could there possibly be for him to have bodyguards? It wasn’t like an assassin was going to show up in the middle of the night.

How did Juan convey Huigang’s words that it was interpreted as a request for bodyguards or support without any hindrance until he recovered?

Huiyun glared fiercely at Juan and raised his eyebrows.

On the contrary, Jiwook remained relaxed as he watched Huiyun.

“Your brother was worried about your safety, so if you’re that worried, we’ll be your bodyguards. The treatment expenses will be covered by Blue Flame, and they’ve also agreed to support your recovery potions, so it’s a good deal. Don’t decline.”

“…No, such a deal is unnecessary.”

“Considering the lifetime treatment expenses for mana hypersensitivity, isn’t this beneficial for you? I don’t think you’re planning to milk your brother dry until he dies.”

    “…”

He’s someone who knows how to exploit people’s weaknesses. Upon hearing the mention of Huigang’s consideration and lessening his burden, Huiyun recalled his brother who always worked tirelessly.

It wasn’t easy to work steadily, without a break, from dawn to late night. without weekends for over two years. In Huigang’s case, it was obvious that he would take on more work, especially considering the cost for his treatment.

Of course, they had money. His parents’ inheritance, Huigang’s income—it wasn’t small number. But the treatment expenses for mana hypersensitivity were not small either. No matter how much income and savings they had, Huigang would feeling the burden in some way.

If the guild could relieve that burden, it would be a good thing. Suppressing his inner turmoil, Huiyun struggled to maintain composure.

    Jiwook’s lips curled up.

“I came here personally for the sake of my guild members. Is there a problem with that?”

“Did you say that guild member wanted it?”

“It looked like you needed help.”

    “Unwanted help…”

Huiyun, who was about to resort to violence, swallowed his words again as Huigang’s fleeting face passed through his mind. Huigang probably didn’t want this kind of help either, but if he was convinced to accept it, it couldn’t be denied that it was a good proposal.

    Internally, Huiyun cursed his luck.

    Damn Blue Flame.

Suppressing the urge to curse, Huiyun took a deep breath. If Huigang was affiliated with Blue Flame, he couldn’t be rude to Jiwook, the guild leader.

Ideally, he wanted Huigang to just leave Blue Flame, but practically, it was difficult for Huigang, a B-rank Hunter, to find a better guild than Blue Flame. Above all, seeing how ecstatic Huigang was on the day he got admitted to Blue Flame made it impossible for Huiyun to bring himself to suggest him to leave the guild.

In a way, they were each other’s weaknesses.

If Huigang was caught, he had to bow his head, and Huiyun couldn’t act recklessly if Huigang was affected.

But he had to endure this much.

How many years had it been since he suffered from mana hypersensitivity? He didn’t have the right to think so selfishly.

Clearing his mind of futile thoughts, Huiyun focused on the situation at hand. He needed to find out the real reason they had come here.

Juan sent the message. Remembering the conversation they had after their outing, Huiyun speculated.

The scent they detected when they took charge seemed to emanate when he used Yasha’s ability, especially when he used the power of ‘domination’.

Both of the time inside the gate and in the park, he used the power of the domination.

    So, one thing became certain.

Those three were searching for someone with the power of domination.

    How can this be?

Without memories of his past live, he couldn’t be sure, but the power of domination was rare.

Even in Yasha’s memory, domination had been exclusive to him for ten thousands of years since the beginning of life.

In the first place, how did they know about that power?

Huiyun glanced suspiciously at the three hunters, then calmed his mind. He needed to play dumb for now. It was evident that if he showed any signs of him noticing something, their surveillance would intensify.

“In the end, you’re planning to force unwanted bodyguards on me without my consent, using your positions.”

    “Your brother will agree.”

“It sounds like you haven’t even asked for his consent yet… What’s the rush that you had to come all the way here personally? Aren’t S-rank hunters busy?”

It wasn’t difficult to address them with a tone typical of a nervous and sensitive 20-year-old.

Until Huiyun recalled Yasha’s memories, he had always done so.

Mana hypersensitivity were sensitive. Unable to absorb mana from the air, even if everyone had a kind disposition, they would inevitably become sensitive. Recalling the situation before encountering the system and remembering the feelings of that time, Huiyun saw Jiwook tilt his head.

“I’m curious myself. If you’re really innocent, just a few weeks of surveillance without any incidents would suffice. Why are you acting so sensitive?”

“You said it yourself. It’s not bodyguards, but surveillance. Being closely monitored by three S-rank hunters—isn’t this a situation that few would welcome? I don’t understand why the three of you are fixated on me like this. If I were to post about the situation on the internet, others wouldn’t understand either.”

Jiwook fell silent at Huiyun’s irritable words. It seemed futile to try to figure out the main purpose of their visit since Huiyun had already discovered it, making their attempts useless.

Feeling the need to organize his thoughts in a place where they couldn’t see, Huiyun raised his voice.

“Leave. I didn’t ask for bodyguards.”

    “I refuse.”

“Well, then, shall I file a complaint with the Bureau? Three S-rank hunters sticking around my hospital room would cause trouble—what am I supposed to do? If not the Bureau, the internet would be fine too.”

When he shook his phone, Jiwook sighed. Juan, who was only watching, tilted his head and asked if he was going to do something like that, and Nameless just looked at Huiyun silently. That made him feel more burdened. It seems like they were constantly observing his actions and the way he spoke.

It’s even more necessary to retreat tactically.

Huiyun, throwing off the blanket, got off the bed.

“If you’re not going out, that’s fine. I’ll leave then.”

As Huiyun quickly walked towards the door, Juan grabbed his arm. Irritated, Huiyun demanded him to let go, while Jiwook, who had been observing the situation, took off his glasses and pinched the bridge of his nose, admonishing Juan.

“Let go. I need to take a breather. Besides, you’ll still be around when I come back.”

    Huiyun let out a scoff.

Jiwook dragged Juan by the arm, threatening to search the entire hospital to find him if he did not return within an hour.

    “Wait, Huigang’s lil bro!”

“If Mr. Hong Juan has a conscience, he shouldn’t pretend otherwise.”

    You said it yourself.

He looked unfairly hurt as Huiyun glared at him. Knowing he was about to add something unnecessary, Huiyun ignored him and swiftly made his way out of the room. The fact that no one was stopping him actually made him realize the promise that they would come looking for him if he didn’t return within the agreed-upon time.

Having the ability to do so and being confident in themself, that’s why they were letting him go so freely.

Huiyun regretted how he got tangled up with these crazy people and banged his head against the corridor.

    “Now what?”

The best course of action would be to accept their protection and endure a few weeks of being confined like a mouse. Eventually, with no solid evidence, albeit suspicions, they would give up wasting any more time.

The problem was whether he could endure those few weeks of being confined like a mouse for real.

Even when he briefly left with Hong Juan, he felt suffocated.

When a problem arose, he couldn’t just turn down a cry for help and just acting like nothing happened. Whether it was because of Yasha’s temperament or because of the ability he was born with, Huiyun found himself tormented by excruciating headaches and guilt when he refused others’ cry for help in situations where he had the capacity to assist.

As he descended the stairs slowly, the golden system window appeared, reassuring him that everything would be easier once he awakened all his abilities.

This system just didn’t know when to back off…

    At that moment…

“How’s that? Do you smell anything?”

“No. I still don’t smell anything, but since you mentioned it, I’m becoming more certain.”

    “Is that so?”

“But even so, isn’t the feeling too different?”

“True, Huigang’s lil bro is very different from him.”

“That makes me even more confused. There is no way he wouldn’t remember the life we also remember.”

The conversation between the three hunters echoed through the wall.

    How?

It was quite a distance away, yet Huiyun listened intently, and his eyes widening in concentration.

It was a chance to gather information. Since it had come to this, he resolved to eavesdrop as much as possible and held his breath, listening to the voices that seemed Nameless.

“For now, let’s watch a little more. Then we’ll be sure. Whether he’s just someone born with a similar aura, or…”

    “ The reincarnation of Yasha?”

    “…!”

With his hand covering his mouth, Huiyun’s eyes widened as he heard a familiar name. Just as he was doubting whether he had heard correctly, Juan shattered that doubt.

    “I miss him, Yasha.”

That voice… It somehow reminded him of the voice he had heard before, when he was playing around.

No, what’s important is that they were clearly talking about Yasha.

    Thump.

Huiyun back collided with the wall as he slumped down.

    “The person they’re looking for…”

    Was it Yasha?
