FGCT CH31.2
by LuoOtter Fugui, who was leading the way, found the gate of the machine factory. He first flashed his glowing wristwatch twice, then knocked twice on the tightly shut factory door.
The sound of metal made a dull noise and waves in the water, reminding everyone that they couldn’t get in.
At that moment, Otter Fugui already felt the danger signals from his body, warning him of the lack of air.
He looked at the others beside him who were turning something on the door, then glanced at Werewolf Xie, who still seemed able to hold his breath a bit longer. Dramatically rolling his eyes, he slightly pushed with his legs and, like a flexible otter, quickly swam upward.
It would take at least one more minute to reach the surface, and he had already been down for more than nine minutes. He couldn’t hold his breath any longer.
Just as he started to move, the strong man from Tibet, who had remembered the position of the door, suddenly stomped his leg and pushed upward with both hands, floating up toward the surface.
Clearly, he had also reached his limit.
But the remaining three—Xie Tianlang, the pearl diver girl, and Zhou Hai—still seemed at ease. They looked at each other now, but none of them had figured out how to open the huge factory door.
Zhou Hai decided to swim around the factory to see if there were any windows or vents they could get in through. The pearl diver girl and Xie Tianlang were clearly thinking the same. Without electricity to open the door, even if they had the key, it would be very hard to move the heavy steel gate.
Luckily, this machine factory wasn’t built for production work, it was used for testing machines, so it was relatively open and breathable. From the building photos they remembered, there were four big windows on both sides.
Xie Tianlang and the other two were looking for a way in through the windows.
Meanwhile, Otter Fugui suddenly burst out of the water with a splash.
As soon as his head popped out of the water, everyone on the lifeboat, including the guy supervising the mission, turned their eyes toward him.
Most people looked at him with admiration. Of course, a few had eyes that were red with envy.
Ten minutes and forty seconds!
This guy actually held his breath underwater for ten minutes and forty seconds! To be able to dive that long in the real ocean, without any tools or equipment, that’s definitely pushing the human limit.
And someone who can hold their breath that long… this long-haired young man just might be the one to find that machine.
Right after him, the strong man from Tibet also came up. When he broke the surface, he took several deep, heavy breaths. But he didn’t rest, he just floated in the water for a minute or two to steady himself, then dove straight down again.
This time, he already knew where the factory was and was familiar with the underwater surroundings. He’d be able to get there in less time than before, giving him at least three extra minutes to search.
The people on the boat watched as the man surfaced and dove back down, unable to help but admire how tough the mission was, and how fierce that guy was.
Then everyone turned their heads again to look at Otter Fugui, who had come up earlier, waiting for this long-haired young man to take a few deep breaths and dive back down.
But after one minute… he was still floating on the surface.
Three minutes passed… the pearl diver girl came up, but the young man was still lying there on the sea like a floating corpse.
Ten minutes went by… the pearl diver girl went back down, the Tibet guy came up and dove down again, and the young man still looked like he was dead. Hands calmly resting on his stomach, eyes closed, face to the sky.
Everyone on the lifeboat: “???”
What kind of attitude is this?! Everyone else is working hard, going up and down, up and down, all trying to find the machine inside that factory. How can you just dive once, come up, and then do nothing?!
Not working hard? There’s a problem with your attitude!
If we could hold our breath for ten minutes like you, we’d have gone down five times already!!
But Otter Fugui just floated there peacefully, not moving at all.
Because he was focused thinking aboiut something.
Even though he had only taken a quick glance earlier, he could already sense that the factory below was huge, at least the size of a football field.
Just think about it: in such a big factory, with hundreds of machines that all look different and have different functions… and with everything underwater, in total darkness, checking each one by one would probably make your eyes go blind, your lungs burst, and leave you exhausted to the point of spitting blood.
And that’s assuming nothing goes wrong inside the factory, and every dive goes smoothly. If anything unexpected happens, it could take dozens or even hundreds of dives, maybe three to five days, to find that machine.
Sure, he could join the diving team to help look for the machine… but that would be way too much trouble and way too tiring.
And most importantly, the machine wasn’t unique, and it came with a lot of uncertainty——
The guy with the oxygen tank would be completely done after forty minutes at most, he wouldn’t be able to help with any more searching or recovery after that. But Otter Fugui could tell that the Tibet man, the pearl diver girl… and even Werewolf Xie all had a real chance of finding that machine.
If the pearl diver girl or the Tibet man found the machine before him, then all that breath-holding, going up and down over and over… would’ve been a total waste.
Otter Fugui was not someone who did useless things.
So, the machine inside the factory? He could give that up. He didn’t want to fight for that one slim chance against people who were putting their lives on the line like the Tibet guy and the pearl diver.
Instead, he needed to think bigger and aim farther.
Time to go for the two machines in the underground warehouse.
Even though the underground warehouse was larger, deeper, and more complicated. But that is fine for Otter Fugui.
It was time to summon the third weird little cutie.
Well… maybe this one couldn’t really be called “little” or “cute.”
Just as Otter Fugui finally shifted from his floating-corpse pose into actual swimming again, Xie Tianlang, who had been underwater for 25 minutes, finally came up too.
When that spiky, tough hedgehog-style short hair popped out of the water, Otter Fugui glanced at his watch out of habit, and his face instantly turned a bit green.
Seriously, this guy could not be human! Diving without any gear for twenty-five minutes?! That totally broke the human free-diving record! And this was in a real, flowing ocean, not some calm training pool! This guy had to have some weird alien blood or magical creature blood, right?!
And even after holding his breath underwater for twenty-five minutes, Xie Tianlang’s face barely changed when he came up. The first thing he saw was Human Yuanyuan, and that immediately put him in a better mood:
“Yuanyuan, why didn’t you keep diving? Giving up already?”
Human Yuanyuan gave him a short “heh.”
Give up? The word give up doesn’t even exist in Dad’s dictionary! Just wait till Dad transforms, one slap and you’ll be flying out of the water!
But Xie Tianlang acted like he didn’t hear those two cold laughs. “No worries. Extreme diving like this isn’t good for your body anyway. Let Dad handle it! Once I find the machine, I’ll carry you to fly[1]!”
The moment he finished, Yuanyuan raised a big middle finger at him and said: “You little punk, if I find those two machines first, and if you kneel in front of me yelling ‘Dad’, I’ll even throw in a free ball[2] for you!”
After saying that, Human Otter Fugui finally dove back into the water with a big splash, leaving Captain Xie’s face covered in glittering droplets.
Xie Tianlang first chuckled, then his eyes sharpened.
That guy… is heading for the underground warehouse?!
Realizing this, Xie Tianlang took a deep breath and dove in after him, but the person he was looking for had already vanished.
Meanwhile, Otter Fugui had already swum deep into a dark, shadowy part of the sea at lightning speed. He took off his white top and black pants and stuffed them into a hidden pocket.
Then he closed his eyes and opened the Quirky and Adorable Creature Handbook in his mind. The golden pages flipped quickly until they suddenly stopped on a certain page.
Then there was a bright flash!
In the dark seawater, the long-haired human began to glow slightly at the left wrist. A second later, his body rapidly expanded——
When the light faded, there appeared a creature with smooth skin, sleek lines, a round head, a round mouth, a round body, and even round white eye spots.
The “panda of the sea”, a killer whale, Whale Fugui!
Had arrived in the “land of the ocean” in Chuan Sheng.
“Ying~ Ying~ Ying~”
The vigorous and cutely masculine Whale Fugui let out a joyful, instinctive call. But then he suddenly remembered, killer whales can only make ying ying sounds.
Whale Fugui: “……”
Unless absolutely necessary… he will never ying ying ying again!
Then the chubby, round, and jolly Whale Fugui happily swam toward the research facility, charging straight ahead like he was the king of the entire ocean.
But just then, he suddenly felt the shift in the water and smelled blood in the current.
Whale Fugui’s big round black eyes widened, and his two oval flippers and massive tail started thrashing wildly. With a surge of water, he rocketed toward the source of the bloody scent!
Very soon, he saw what hapenned—
A great white shark, from who knows where, had clamped down on Zhou Hai’s oxygen tank, refusing to let go. Zhou Hai’s right leg was already bleeding badly.
Nearby, the pearl diver girl looked panicked and terrified but didn’t dare get close. The Tibet man was frantically looking around for something to fight with.
But the most fearless of all was Xie Tianlang, he was holding a sharp □□[3], fiercely stabbing at the shark’s eyes!
But even to the naked eye, it was obvious he was losing. The shark’s massive jaws nearly took off his arm!
In a flash, the once-happy Whale Fugui was instantly filled with rage, his eyes blazing red.
He let out a roar-like “Ying ying ying!” and the round, heavy, cannonball-like killer whale shot through the water like a torpedo straight at the great white!
Just as Xie Tianlang was about to sacrifice his arm to save Zhou Hai, he saw something huge rushing towards them, and then……
It sent the shark he was struggling with flying with a headbutt.
Then a giant flipper slapped the shark, flipping it upside down like a toy ? !
Xie Tianlang stared in shock, locking eyes with Whale Fugui, who returned his gaze with the royal expression of total disdain.
“Ying ying ying!”
Call me Daddy!
