    Chapter 51: I Don’t Collect Scumbags

When Xu Yang grabbed his keys and rushed out, the elevator had already taken Qi Shaobai downstairs. By the time Xu Yang ran down, Qi Shaobai was nowhere to be seen.

No problem. He had overheard the location of their date while they were in the car—Nightfall Bar. Xu Yang knew that place well. It was a well-known hookup spot in the community.

Damn it. Shameless. Xu Yang stepped on the gas and sped off.

By the time Qi Shaobai arrived at Nightfall Bar, it was already close to seven. He was so late—would Ye Qinghe be mad? On the phone, Ye Qinghe had mentioned wanting to introduce him to some friends tonight. He hadn’t expected to be this late for their first meeting. How embarrassing.

Oh well. It doesn’t really matter.

He walked toward the reserved private room, just about to push the door open, when a burst of laughter and chatter from inside made him pause.

“Hey, Ye, is that little white rabbit of yours coming or not?” A teasing voice asked.

“He’s coming, of course. He’s so head over heels for me he can’t think straight. How could he not show up?” Ye Qinghe’s voice drifted through the door crack, suddenly sounding so unfamiliar to Qi Shaobai.

“I’m actually looking forward to this one. I heard he’s not bad-looking? Last time, that blind guy you brought was a complete disaster. Was he blind because he saw his own reflection and couldn’t take it? Hahaha! Seriously, you really went all out for that bet,” another voice chimed in. “How did you even stomach that?”

“Well, he couldn’t see, and I wasn’t looking at him while doing it, so he didn’t know the difference. Hahaha…” Ye Qinghe said indifferently. “But this little country bumpkin, though he’s not much to look at, his waist is ridiculously soft, and he’s so damn tight down there. And his moans—damn, having a good voice really makes a difference. I actually had to keep up the act for two months because of that. Almost couldn’t shake him off—scared the hell out of me. I heard that after I dumped him, he made a huge scene, crying and wailing like crazy. So annoying.”

“You think he was a virgin?” someone joked.

“Of course. That blind guy was so pathetic—who’d even want to sleep with him?” someone else answered.

“Hearing all this, I kinda want to give it a try,” the first guy chuckled. “Too bad he’s not a virgin anymore. I only go for virgins.”

“You’re too narrow-minded,” Ye Qinghe’s voice sounded again. “You should broaden your horizons like me—try different things. Look, I’ve already ‘collected’ all twelve zodiac signs, and now I’m betting with you guys on collecting disabled people. Isn’t that fun? So far, I have a blind one, and now this lame one—that makes two. Xiaofang said he recently found a mute guy, but apparently, he’s straight. Converting a straight one takes more time, but that’s what makes the challenge exciting. Just wait and see—your big brother Ye is about to show off his skills.”

A round of cheers erupted, followed by bursts of laughter.

So this was all just a game, a mere bet. It wasn’t even about lust.

Qi Shaobai stood outside the private room, head lowered. He was the little white rabbit, the lame one, the second disabled person they were talking about. Even though he already knew Ye Qinghe’s true nature before coming here, hearing these cruel words still made his whole body go cold.

He really didn’t understand. What had he ever done to deserve being surrounded by such scumbags?

Just as a chill crept into his heart, someone suddenly approached from behind and wrapped an arm around him. A deep, rough voice said, “Don’t listen to that nonsense. Let’s go home.”

Qi Shaobai didn’t respond. His body remained stiff, his face pale, and his fingers tightened around the door handle, refusing to move.

Inside the private room, the conversation continued.

Xu Yang wanted to pull Qi Shaobai away, to stop him from hearing more of this disgusting talk. But it was too late. The damage had already been done.

“Ye, is that lame little white rabbit of yours a virgin?” one of them kept obsessing over that crude question.

“Probably,” Ye Qinghe shrugged. “He’s so ridiculously pure. Drop hints, and he doesn’t get them. I can’t tell if he’s pretending or just dumb. But this cripple… his looks are exactly your type. His skin is white, smooth, and delicate. Last time, I touched his face—it felt amazing. Too bad he blushed right away. No idea what he was being shy about. Made it awkward for me to keep touching him. Xiaosi, don’t say I never do anything for you. When he gets here, if you’re interested, I’ll let you have him first. I don’t care about whether he’s a virgin or not. You can take him first, and I’ll have him after. That works too.”

    Laughter filled the room again.

“Like hell you will. Like hell you’ll ‘take’ anyone!” Xu Yang was shaking with rage.

He yanked Qi Shaobai’s hand off the door handle, then kicked the door open and stormed in. Grabbing Ye Qinghe by the collar, he punched him straight in the face.

Xu Yang stood at 186 cm tall. Back in school, he had trained in boxing for a while and had been working out ever since. Normally, he didn’t show off his muscles, but right now, as he went berserk, his explosive strength was on full display.

Ye Qinghe’s group of spoiled rich brats were completely stunned, too scared to even step in.

With every punch, Xu Yang roared, “You scumbag! What the hell are you trying to ‘collect’? The only disabled person here is you! You’re brain-dead, you hear me?! You’re beyond saving!”

He punched Ye Qinghe so hard that the man tumbled off the sofa. Then, Xu Yang raised his foot and kicked him hard.

“Who the hell were you just calling lame? I’ll break your damn legs and see who’s more crippled!”

Qi Shaobai suddenly snapped out of it. He rushed forward to grab Xu Yang, but at first, he couldn’t even hold him back.

“Director Xu! President Xu! Stop!” Qi Shaobai shouted.

    But Xu Yang couldn’t stop.

The others finally recovered from their shock and hesitantly moved to intervene. Qi Shaobai worried that if they all jumped in, a full-blown fight would break out, and Xu Yang wouldn’t be able to walk away unscathed.

So, without hesitation, Qi Shaobai grabbed a liquor bottle from the table and smashed it hard against the glass table.

    CRASH!

The glass table shattered completely, shards flying everywhere. The sheer force of the impact shocked everyone into silence.

    “Xu Yang, stop.”

    Finally, Xu Yang froze.

The room fell into complete silence, broken only by Xu Yang’s heavy breathing and Ye Qinghe’s pitiful groans on the floor.

Xu Yang turned to look at Qi Shaobai and saw that he was holding the shattered liquor bottle. His exposed arm and forehead had been cut by flying glass shards, and tiny beads of blood were beginning to seep out.

    “You’re bleeding.”

Xu Yang took two steps forward, grabbed Qi Shaobai’s chin, and forced him to lift his head, frowning as he inspected the wound on his forehead.

Qi Shaobai shook off the broken bottle, shoved Xu Yang away, and carelessly wiped the blood from his forehead. Unbothered.

Then, he walked up to Ye Qinghe, looking down at him with a cold, indifferent gaze.

“I came here today to give you an answer to the question you asked me two weeks ago—whether I’d be willing to date you.”

    His voice was calm, detached.

    “My answer is: No.”

    He narrowed his eyes slightly.

“I have no interest in your twisted hobbies. I don’t ‘collect’ scumbags.”

Qi Shaobai lifted a small paper bag in his hand.

“This is what you gave me. I’m returning it.”

Without hesitation, he threw the perfume gift bag at Ye Qinghe, shaking his head with a mocking chuckle.

“This little fishing trick of yours is way too low-level. I’m honestly disappointed.”

After that, he turned around and left without looking back.

Xu Yang pointed at Ye Qinghe, gritting his teeth.

“I’ll have someone keep an eye on you. If you dare to pull this kind of crap again… don’t blame me for going all out.”

He made a ruthless hand gesture, glaring at the group of sniveling cowards in the private room before turning around and chasing after Qi Shaobai.
