HCILH Extra 1
by camiChapter 139: Extras – Boss Sister Su
[Timeline: Start of the second semester of sophomore year in high school. Sui Houyu x Hou Mo just started dating, and Sui Houyu is still a minor.]
Su Anyi was woken up by her roommate. She stared at the bottom of the upper bunk bed for a while before regaining her senses.
She didn’t get up immediately, instead turning over to grab her phone.
Last night, Ran Shu sent her a slew of messages. After skimming through them, she got the gist: he and Sang Xian were on the verge of breaking up again.
The first time they fought, she was nervous and spent the whole night on the phone consoling Ran Shu.
The second time, she remained calm but still offered a few words of advice.
By the third time… she closed the chat without replying, opened Weibo, checked on her favorite idol’s updates, and then got out of bed to wash up.
When she arrived at the classroom with her bag, she immediately spotted two figures in the back row being overly affectionate. Choosing to turn a blind eye, she ignored them.
Hou Mo was holding an egg, coaxing Sui Houyu to take another bite: “Just one more, okay?”
“It’s too dry, and it doesn’t taste good. I don’t like it.” Sui Houyu replied irritably.
“I prepared water for you—perfect temperature. Come on, be good, just one more bite.”
In the end, Sui Houyu took another bite. Just as he drank a couple of sips of water, Hou Mo chimed in” “There’s just a little left, might as well finish it.”
“Didn’t you say it was the last bite?” Sui Houyu asked, visibly annoyed.
“But it’s just this tiny bit left…”
Before Hou Mo could finish, Sui Houyu, who had been fiddling with something in his hands, suddenly threw a carving knife onto the desk. The blade stuck firmly upright in the desk.
Hou Mo immediately stopped talking and quickly stuffed the rest of the egg into his own mouth.
When Su Anyi sat down and began reviewing her homework, she realized she hadn’t finished an assignment. She picked up her pen to catch up, but the two people behind her started again.
Hou Mo was coaxing Sui Houyu not to be angry, but Sui Houyu’s reluctance was obvious.
The desk behind her kept nudging forward, forcing her to shift her chair forward repeatedly. But the two behind her didn’t stop, and the desk kept shaking.
Finally, she had enough. Turning around, she pressed Hou Mo’s desk down and then kicked it back, warning them: “Be quiet.”
Hou Mo froze mid-motion, one hand extended toward Sui Houyu, while Sui Houyu was mid-push, trying to keep Hou Mo at bay. Both turned to look at her, then nodded obediently.
Satisfied, she turned back and resumed her homework. But soon after, she heard a loud smacking sound—”Muah!”—and it grated on her nerves.
Finally, it quieted down. Or so she thought.
From behind, Hou Mo began again: “Brother Yu… Brother Yu… Brother Yu!”
“Mm.” Sui Houyu responded coldly.
“Brother Yu, you’re so good-looking.”
Su Anyi took a deep breath, suppressing her disgust, and tried to focus on her work.
After a while, Hou Mo finally quieted down. Taking the opportunity, she turned around and aske:, “What happened with Ran Shu and Sang Xian last night? Did they make up?”
Sui Houyu looked genuinely surprised: “What happened to them again?”
Hou Mo chimed in: “Are they fighting again?”
Sui Houyu shook his head: “I slept early last night. They didn’t fight all night, so I guess they were breaking up.”
Hou Mo agreed: “If they’re quiet, it’s usually bad news.”
None of them could figure it out and ultimately didn’t care. Their expressions were indifferent and detached.
She pressed: “Are we just not going to bother with it?”
Sui Houyu lazily replied: “If you’re bored, you can.”
“I’ll just study my vocabulary.”
No one intervened.

At lunch, Su Anyi accompanied a group of athletes to throw away their lunchboxes. These guys couldn’t figure out proper garbage sorting, so she had to guide them every time.
It was supposed to be a simple task.
Suddenly, she received a call from Deng Yiheng: “Sister Su, Brother Yu and the others are fighting!”
“I’m coming up now!” Hanging up, she dashed upstairs and burst into the second year Class Seventeen classroom. Sure enough, she saw Sui Houyu, Hou Mo, Sang Xian, and Ran Shu in a brawl.
Deng Yiheng and Shen Junjing were trying to break up the fight but couldn’t do much. The four were going at it so fiercely that no one could intervene.
Su Anyi had no choice but to step in herself. Regardless of who it was, she forcibly separated them. If anyone tried to jump back in, she simply kicked them away, eventually scattering the four in different directions.
Ran Shu, having taken a kick, stumbled and clung to the teacher’s desk. Tearfully, he complained: “Why’d y-you kick me? I was trying to break it up!”
Who would’ve thought his worst injury came not from the fight but from Su Anyi’s “intervention”?
She replied: “Your stance didn’t look like you were breaking it up.”
Ran Shu pouted in grievance. “…”
At that moment, the principal walked into the classroom and pointed at them: “You all, to the office with me!”
It would’ve been fine if it were just Ouyang Ge supervising. At worst, the four would end up needing some chiropractic adjustments. Unfortunately, the principal himself had overheard the commotion while strolling after lunch and had come to see the aftermath.
The fighters were called to the office, but so was Su Anyi.
Sui Houyu quickly tried to explain: “Principal, she was breaking it up.”
“I saw her fighting the hardest!” the principal retorted, fuming and completely unreasonable.
With no choice, Su Anyi followed the four to the principal’s office and stood there with them.
The principal demanded to know why they were fighting, but all five remained silent.
The main culprits were too embarrassed to admit it, and Su Anyi genuinely didn’t know the reason. Naturally, no one spoke up.
The principal was livid, scolding them fiercely for a while before turning to Hou Mo: “You’re a top student! You’ve won plenty of scholarships, and now you’re fighting?”
Hou Mo lowered his head, saying nothing.
“Write a self-reflection! Call your parents! Where’s Ouyang Ge? Why isn’t he here yet?” the principal snapped.
Ran Shu, visibly unhappy at being berated, suddenly asked: “Principal, does the school happen to be for sale?”
“What?” The principal was dumbfounded.
Everyone else in the office stared at him in shock, equally stunned.
“If I buy it, I’d become a shareholder. Would you stop scolding me then?” Ran Shu declared boldly.
The principal was so taken aback that he couldn’t respond for a moment.
After a long pause, the principal waved at the others: “Alright, you all leave. Ouyang Ge will watch you write your self-reflections.”
Then, pointing at Ran Shu, he said: “You, stay behind.”
Sui Houyu and Hou Mo exchanged a glance before leaving the office.
Sang Xian gave Ran Shu an admiring look before walking out.
Su Anyi naturally followed them out as well.
Now it was Ran Shu’s turn to be dumbfounded.
When Ouyang Ge arrived to supervise, they finally revealed bits of the reason for the fight.
After hearing it, Ouyang Ge rubbed his temples and said: “Can’t you come up with a better excuse? The principal’s going to see these self-reflections. Don’t scare him to death.”
The four nodded in unison.
After Ouyang Ge left, as they worked on their self-reflections, Su Anyi pried into what Sui Houyu had kept quiet about.
It turned out that at lunch, Ran Shu had been clinging to Sui Houyu, whining about how he was the best. It was clearly meant for Sang Xian to hear.
After a while, Sui Houyu got annoyed and twisted Ran Shu’s arm, pinning him to a chair and spanking him a few times, warning him to stop being so dramatic. If he kept this up, Sui Houyu wouldn’t help him anymore.
Ran Shu, already sore, complained as the pain worsened.
Sang Xian, already in a bad mood, saw his “territory” getting spanked and walked over to take Ran Shu away.
Sui Houyu refused to let go, and as the argument escalated, both of them started to get heated.
At this moment, Hou Mo stepped in to mediate but ended up siding with Sui Houyu.
As the quarrel went on, tempers flared among everyone.
Sang Xian, frustrated, complained: “Hou Mo, have you lost all your principles now that you’re dating?”
Sui Houyu retorted: “And you have principles? The kind that makes Ran Shu cry every day?”
Ran Shu, hopping mad, shouted: “Sang Xian, how can you talk to my Brother Yu like that?”
Hou Mo, focused on a different issue entirely, asked: “Ran Shu, can you stop clinging to my boyfriend all the time?”
The tension reached its peak, and the four of them suddenly started throwing punches.
This was just the beginning of their war.
The conflict escalated when Hou Mo tried to pull them apart. Sui Houyu noticed Ran Shu protecting Sang Xian, and even Hou Mo seemed to side with Sang Xian. This infuriated Sui Houyu, and he started swinging for real.
At first, Hou Mo’s instinct was to pull his boyfriend out of the fight. But when Sang Xian, after taking a few punches, finally retaliated and landed one on Sui Houyu, Hou Mo abandoned his role as a mediator and joined in, aiming straight at Sang Xian.
“My boyfriend, who I wouldn’t dare touch too hard, and Sang Xian has the gall to punch him?”
Mid-fight, Hou Mo suddenly realized that Sui Houyu was also hitting him. When he turned to confirm, it was clear Sui Houyu wasn’t mistaking him for someone else.
Meanwhile, Sang Xian, who had initially redirected his attacks toward Hou Mo, noticed Sui Houyu hitting Hou Mo and turned back to attack Sui Houyu again.
Ran Shu, seeing Sang Xian lay hands on Sui Houyu, rushed over to poke Sang Xian in the eyes. After that, Sang Xian couldn’t even tell who he was hitting anymore or who had hit him.
The four ended up brawling as one chaotic mass.
When Sui Houyu finished recounting the story, he asked: “Did you understand?”
Su Anyi mulled it over for a while before responding: “So you four just fought in circles, not distinguishing between friend or foe, hitting whoever you felt like?”
“Yeah,” Sui Houyu nodded.
Su Anyi stared at her notebook in contemplation. “How am I supposed to write my reflection for trying to break up that mess?”
Hou Mo, diligently working on his own reflection, took a moment to answer: “Apologize for kicking all four of us, one kick each.”
After writing their reflections, the four of them headed to the principal’s office to check on Ran Shu.
With his arms crossed, Hou Mo looked over and remarked: “Brother Ran is a true hero—shouldering all the aggro by himself. If this were a raid, he’d be the tank.”
Sui Houyu chuckled along, not even bothering to defend Ran Shu anymore.
Ran Shu had been scolded by the principal the entire afternoon and was now tearfully cleaning windows as a form of “labor reform.” Seeing the group arrive, he reached out pitifully, silently begging them to save him.
The group collectively shook their heads.
From the principal’s office, the booming voice echoed: “What are you doing? Is it clean yet?”
Ran Shu, dejected, shook his head and continued wiping the windows, his shoulders trembling with sobs.
Hou Mo glanced at Sang Xian and asked: “Doesn’t it hurt your heart to see him like this?”
Sang Xian, thoroughly entertained, grinned: “I love watching him cry. You guys go ahead—I want to enjoy this a bit longer.”
Su Anyi, uninterested in staying, left them behind, hoping for a little peace and quiet.

Evening self-study.
Most of the student athletes had gone for training, leaving the classroom half-empty. For once, Su Anyi enjoyed some silence around her.
She followed the list on the blackboard to finish her assignments, then spent some time reading and working through practice problems.
Midway through, she remembered something, took out her notebook, and opened it to stare at the autographed photo inside with a silly grin.
Ran Shu had somehow managed to secure a signed card from her idol, and she treasured it dearly. She even planned to laminate it that weekend.
Suddenly, a strong gust blew through as the classroom door opened, and the card was swept off her desk.
She quickly crouched down to search for it, eventually finding it under someone’s big shoe.
Noticing the card, the owner of the shoe paused, bent down, and picked it up to hand back to her: “Who’s this blonde girl on the card? A celebrity?”
Su Anyi accepted the card, stared at the clear shoeprint on it, then looked up to see Hou Mo retrieving a water bottle from his desk, preparing to leave. She immediately shouted: “Hou Mo!”
“Huh?” Hou Mo jumped at her tone, as did several innocent classmates, startled by her sudden outburst.
Suppressing her fury, Su Anyi said: “I’ll give you a three-hundred-meter head start.”
“Underestimating me, huh? I’ll at least need five hundred meters!” Hou Mo, realizing the danger, grabbed his bottle and bolted.
Carefully placing the card back in her desk, Su Anyi pulled out a pink baseball bat and charged after him.
Massacre mode: activated.
Hou Mo fled to the tennis court in a panic and found Sui Houyu for help: “Brother Yu! Brother Yu! I messed with Su Anyi!”
Sui Houyu, alarmed by his frantic tone, asked: “What did you do?”
“I accidentally stepped on her card…”
Without a second thought, Sui Houyu grabbed Hou Mo and started running.
Confused, Hou Mo asked while fleeing: “Why are you running?”
“She usually doesn’t get angry, but if she does, don’t bother reasoning with her—just run. It’s your best chance at survival.”
“Can’t you ask her to spare me? She’d listen to you, right?”
“Nope. She’ll just beat me up too, for being your boyfriend.”
At Qingyu High, the merging of their school with Fenghua High brought together two infamous campus legends: one renowned for being a “madman” and the other for their immense popularity.
Everyone expected them to clash fiercely after the merge. Instead, the two started dating, their days filled with romance and affection.
What no one anticipated was that one day, these two feared school tyrants would be chased around campus by a girl, utterly humiliated.
In the end, Hou Mo clung to Sui Houyu’s sleeve, teary-eyed and whimpering, “She’s so scary… Brother Yu, wuwu…”
“Let go of my sleeve! If you smudge the autograph, we’re both doomed!” Sui Houyu frowned, meticulously erasing the shoeprint from the card with an eraser, careful not to damage the signature or photo.
He even sharpened the eraser to a fine point with a craft knife, carefully working on the card with an intensity akin to performing delicate surgery.

After evening self-study, Su Anyi went to the equipment room alone with her checklist to inspect the sports equipment and cleanliness.
If the storage room wasn’t properly tidied, she planned to summon back the students on duty for the day.
After completing her inspection, she walked out of the gym’s storage area and noticed the locker room door was left ajar. Heading over to close it, she suddenly heard a sound inside.
The light from the gym’s exterior lamp spilled into the locker room, and through the glass, she saw the silhouette of two figures.
A tall boy had the thinner boy pinned against the lockers, kissing him, while the thinner boy clung to the taller boy’s neck, his arms wrapped tightly around him.
Su Anyi silently exited, turned off the outdoor court lights, and left the door unlocked.
Taking out her phone, she saw Ran Shu had spammed her messages. She replied with a single line: “Lock the door when you leave.”
