***Choi Sung-hoon POV

    – Seo-yu-nim went to meet a friend. He said he would contact Director separately.

He got a call from the bodyguard while he was working. Choi Sung-hoon quietly read the message in his cell phone, which had Seo-yu’s number stored in it.

Seo-yu♡ [Jae-hoon is sleeping hehe. What time are you coming home today??]

    [I will go before 7 o’clock]

    Seo-yu♡ [(Emoji) Be careful]

He hasn’t heard from him since the last message.

He was already aware that Jang Won-jo was unemployed. Even if he did meet him, Choi Sung-hoon expected him to call him home because of Jae-hoon but he didn’t expect him to go see Won-jo in person.

Seo-yu loved the baby he had a hard time giving birth to. Despite the fact that five babysitters were assigned, he increased his housework because he tried to do most of the things himself.

It was the second day of my return to work, and he scheduled a meeting with a friend he didn’t like.

He was wondering why he asked him about the time to leave work, turn out so he could plan ahead of time to go out.

Choi Sung-hoon’s face lit up when he saw the message.

He expected him to be predictable by now, but he wasn’t.

To think about it, he was always an unexpected person from the start.

    * * *

Even when they first talked on the phone, he was quite angry when he heard the news that his younger brother had had a major accident.

The person that Choi Sung-hyun saved has a nasal voice, and he repeated only the words that he had a great younger brother in a very light tone. Shortly after they decided on a meeting place and hung up the phone, Choi Sung-hyun’s cell phone rang.

    – Hey, high school kid. I got a call from your older brother and he wants to meet me tomorrow?

It was a light feeling that would blow with his own mouth, but he quickly noticed that the other side was the other person.

After the first call, the first meeting the next day also left a strong impression.

‘Hello, Sang-hyun older brother. You came early.’

So far, no one has been able to say ‘brother’ in front of him in a friendly way with smiling eyes. However, adding to his nasal voice, he sat while coughing, the name of my younger brother, who was the reason for the meeting, was wrong, and drank a drink on the table that no one had ever said was his at the once.

‘You really don’t trust people. Because I didn’t take any money from him.’

‘You drooped the formal speech first, so I’m doing the same.’

Choi Sung-hoon couldn’t say anything when he saw the Omega talking informally.

He has never seen anyone like this before. Nobody had ever acted like that in front of him before. Even the dominant Alpha, who has been cared for by his subordinates, was discouraged and chooses a low stance, but only this recessive Omega…

The person he saw for the first time throughout the day. Choi Sung-hoon saw something he had never seen in anyone before.

The first meeting stayed with him for a long time. He wanted to meet up again and look into it.

After scolding him moderately, Choi Sung-hyun bought a new car. Choi Sung-hoon found a reason to meet him despite the fact that he knew they didn’t have to meet again in person, even though it would be over with just one word not to contact Omega, who attempted suicide.

That was how he got to the CCTV.

On the CCTV, the Omega was walking alone in the rain. He walked slowly and stopped at the scene of the accident, holding the railing and looking down at the river. Without looking up at the sky or at the night view. It took him less than a minute to take his shoes off and look down at the river. It was a very short time to make a decision about death.

If Choi Sung-hyun had not caused an accident, the moment he took a step back wouldn’t happen.

Choi Sung-hoon made an appointment again.

The Omega still had a bad cold, and Choi Sung-hyun’s name was wrong again while making excuses. At that moment, Choi Sung-hoon asked a question that he would never ask.

    ‘Do you know my name?’

    ‘…Sung… Hyuyuing.’

The response was something other than a person’s name. Looking at him, who was attempting to conflate in a moderation, he began to spit out any name he could think of.

Choi Sung-hoon had to hold up a cup of coffee to hold back his laughter.

He couldn’t believe that this Omega had attempted suicide. He has no idea what the story was about him being on the Han River bridge in the early morning when it rained, but how could such a light person plan to commit suicide?

As if ridiculing Choi Sung-hoon, the Omega showed the will written on his cell phone.

The will was very short, and it was delivered in a frighteningly light tone, with no regrets.

‘Was there any reason for you to die?’

‘This and that… Didn’t you ever think you wanted to die sometimes?’

Choi Sung-hoon was unable to respond to the lightly posed question with anything other than the answer that he did not know. Because he never thought about it.

    * * *

At 2:30 pm, Seo-yu sent a message asking if he could make a call. Choi Sung-hoon called right away and Seo-yu answered quickly as if he already waiting for it.

    – Do you have time? I hope I didn’t interrupt your work.

“Of course. How are you doing with Jang Won-jo?”

    – Oh… As expected, you know. Who said it? Mustache?

    “Is that important?”

    – I was going to go back before you go home… I’ll be a little late. It’s okay, right? Hurry up and say it’s okay.

“How late are you? We should eat dinner together.”

    – Of course. I’ll take care of Jae-hoon’s food. I’ll go back around 5 o’clock

    “Hmm.”

Choi Sung-hoon pretended not to be worried and turned the tablet PC on again. No matter how old he was, didn’t want to go into a house without his family, so he thought he would work a little more.

“All right. Don’t be too late. Because I’m worried.”

    – Yes, Choi Sung-hoon ssi, don’t work overtime just because I’m not there, and go home quickly. Hey, order gopchang. Then I’ll hang up.

“Wait, Seo-yu ssi, have you been drinking?”

    – Yes, I had a drink. Don’t worry! I’m not going to drink too much, and I didn’t get any injections today.

As soon as he heard his light voice, Choi Sung-hoon turned off the tablet again and covered it like throwing it away.

And he immediately called Seo-yu’s bodyguard.

    – Yes, sir.

“Where are you? How much has he been drinking?”

    – This is  ○○ in Guro-dong. Alcohol… He drank about half a sip, but he said he just got permission, and he ordered more. Shall I stop him?

    “No, let him drink.”

    – Will you come here?

“Yeah, I’m leaving now, so watch him closely.”

    – Yes, sir.

No one saw him leave the office immediately after hanging up the phone.

Most of them would have assumed he was too preoccupied with work to leave his seats.

The Choi family and S&S have been closely related since their ancestors. They had to work only in the dark due to the nature of the work, which required them to solve problems that were obstructed by laws and regulations without anyone knowing. Then, Choi Sung-hoon’s grandfather started a new company, and after Choi Sung-hoon’s reign, he externally claimed the title of managing director.

Still, Choi Sung-hoon was clearly aware that he was a villain.

Choi Sung-hoon, who was born with no empathy for human emotions, thought this was the best job for him.

As a result, it took a long time to understand his depression. It took a lot of effort for him to realize that his outlandish words and actions were the result of depression and that his eyes were sometimes empty.

The relationship was formed hastily at first. Drunk Omega succumbed to temptation beyond his control, and Alpha, who was already intrigued, embraced the Omega.

Seo-yu continued to be drunk while being caressed and unable to give strength to his whole body.

‘I want to date… Damn… The person who made this blanket here would be in a relationship, and the person who made this pillow would be in a relationship as well, so why am I the only one… I want to get married too…’

Choi Sung-hoon asked him if he would be in a relationship with him, while he lamented so much in a state of insensitivity.

‘With you? How… You have to be in love to date…’

    ‘I love you.’

    ‘Really…?’

When he nodded lightly again, Seo-yu blinked a couple of times and soon smiled broadly.

“Okay, then I love you too… Let’s date. Then got married. And have a special proposal to each other… Have a pretty child… There must be at least two children…’

They had a relationship just like that and Seo-yu kept mumbling to himself.

After that, Choi Sung-hoon did his best to become a person who was faithful to his relationship. He enjoyed it every time he met him, and he had forgotten about his depression because he was so engrossed in the unfamiliar happiness he had never felt in his life.

The other person attempted suicide, lost a family all at once in an accident, and talks about loneliness while drunk.

He also overlooked the fact that he was unfamiliar with people’s sensitive emotions.

After realizing that it was his only relationship and that he was his only love, he began receiving psychological counseling.

Even the counselor and himself realized that no matter how long he received counseling, he would never develop the empathy he never had. Instead, Choi Sung-hoon learned how to react.

The fetus was certain to miscarry, and Choi Sung-hoon felt no sadness or regret for it, but he had to comfort Seo-yu, who was sad. If it was a mechanically injected comfort, Seo-yu would have had it by now, so he had to find a way to reach his heart.

Choi Sung-hoon needed Seo-yu’s reaction but at the same time, he was terrified of it.

If the loneliness of losing his family and surviving alone drove him to attempt suicide… When he miscarried the fetus…

Even if he lost his parents and younger brother right now, he wouldn’t feel such loneliness and sadness, but when he thought about losing Seo-yu… Choi Sung-hoon felt as if he were being sucked into endless darkness.

In the depths of the abyss, where there was no light at all. He was terrified just by the thought of a world without him.
