Damn My Guide
Kang I-won is an A-Class Esper with the power of regeneration.
Stabbed, pierced, slashed, or even having parts of his body blown away, Kang I-won regenerates back to his original state, never hesitating to throw himself into danger.
One day, Heo Do-kyung, an S-Class Guide demoted from Seoul to the southern region of Gyeonggi, becomes the temporary guide for Team 5, to which Kang I-won belongs.
Seeing Kang I-won always appear unscathed due to his regeneration ability and excessive use of guiding drugs, Heo Do-kyung misunderstands him deeply and treats him particularly poorly.
However, after a certain incident, Heo Do-kyung realizes he had been misunderstanding Kang I-won, and soon finds himself increasingly bothered by him….
[Excerpt from the main text]
A strange bluish tint spread across his skin. Without a trace of vitality, his appearance was almost corpse-like. The contrast of his long, jet-black bangs, hanging low enough to cover his eyes, made Kang I-won look even more deathly pale.
His feet were nowhere to be found, leaving only his dangling ankles. His torn pants exposed the gruesome sight below his knees. It made one’s stomach turn.
Among the injured emerging from the gate, Kang I-won’s condition looked the worst. What on earth had he been doing alone?
Heo Do-kyung, approaching the two with a trembling voice, asked,
“…He’s not dead, is he?”
“He’s alive. Why would I be carrying a dead man?”
Kang I-won, slung over Han Kang-jin’s back, responded in a calm voice. Despite his corpse-like appearance, his voice was surprisingly normal, though it lacked its usual energy.
Realizing he wasn’t dead, Heo Do-kyung unconsciously let out a sigh of relief.
