VDN Ch 94
by STARAs soon as Nam-woon saw Se-oh coming out of the examination room, he hurried over.
“What did they say?”
“They said to treat it with ice.”
“Is it broken?”
Se-oh shook his head. When Nam-woon looked at him with a worried expression, the nurse who followed him out of the examination room explained.
“It’s very swollen, so you need to ice it for about two days. Come this way.”
As Se-oh was walking in the direction the nurse was going, he suddenly stopped and turned around.
“Wait.”
“Okay, so hurry up and go.”
Nam-woon gestured forward with his chin. Seo-oh looked at Nam-woon with quiet eyes and then moved on.
Haa… Nam-woon let out a deep sigh and thought for a moment.
What the hell did Seo-oh hear that made him hit Jin Hae-geon?
Flustered by the unexpected situation, Nam-woon hadn’t even properly asked Seo-oh what had happened. The impulsive actions in the alley and Seo-oh’s anxious looks and behavior on the way to the hospital made Nam-woon regret his earlier actions.
There’s no way the kind and smart Seo-oh would have hit Jin Hae-geon without a reason. I’m sure Jin Hae-geon must have provoked him, just like Seok Nam-woon did in the original.
“I’m going to sue.”
Even so, Jin Hae-geon had threatened him. Sue? Kwon Se-oh doesn’t have the money for a lawsuit, and he has a younger sibling to take care of.
With a serious expression, Nam-woon searched for “first strike” on his phone. After focusing on the screen for a while, Nam-woon bit his lip.
It didn’t seem to matter much who hit first in this incident. As it had become a mutual assault due to Jin Hae-geon’s counterattack. However, it was doubtful whether Jin Hae-geon, who seemed to have suffered more damage at first glance, would agree to not press charges.
His words about suing were confident. Confidence that he could screw Seo-oh over.
If Jin Hae-geon really decided to sue Seo-oh, the situation would inevitably become complicated. The problem started with hiring a lawyer. How many people would stand against Jin Hae-geon? With the Mooyoung Group backing him, finding a decent lawyer would be as difficult as reaching for the stars.
Even if that wasn’t the case, considering Seo-oh’s negligence and the extent of Jin Hae-geon’s injuries, he could only conclude that it was best not to go to trial.
As he pondered, Nam-woon made a phone call.
“Hey, Yong-deuk. Do you have a moment?”
***
Bang bang! Ding-dong, ding-dong, ding-dong-ding-dong.
Nam-woon pounded on the front door and then pressed the doorbell repeatedly. However, there was no response from inside. Nam-woon found the long-forgotten password in his phone’s message log, pressed it, and then flung open the front door.
“Hey, what the hell did you do to Kwon Seo-oh…!”
[Warning! “Hey” is prohibited! “You” is prohibited!]
As he headed inside, he saw Jin Hae-geon lying on the living room sofa. He was neatly covered with a thin blanket, eyes neatly closed. There were two IV bags and a small vial hanging from the IV stand next to the sofa, and one of them was bright red, causing Nam-woon to frown.
Did he bleed so much that he needed a transfusion? But he was walking around fine at school.
Nam-woon quickly approached and checked the man’s complexion. Whether it was his imagination or not, the pale and bloodless face looked just like a corpse. The dense and orderly eyelashes made him look like a pretty doll, and the red bruises on his face felt unreal, as if they were makeup.
Nam-woon grabbed Jin Hae-geon’s bare shoulder, which was exposed outside the blanket, and shook him roughly.
“Stop pretending and get up.”
That’s when it happened.
Ding-!
[Role Fulfillment Clause No. 5 Seok Nam-woon attempts physical contact with Jin Hae-geon. is activated]
[Experience points accumulate differently depending on the area of contact. (Note: Only contact with bare skin counts.)]
What is he supposed to attempt? As if he wasn’t already mentally exhausted from the potential lawsuit, now this crappy clause appears.
[Contact success! Villain experience points increase by 1.]
Even the experience points were messed up. Anyway, Seo-oh was badly injured, and with the lawsuit to deal with, there was no room to worry about such things.
“Get up!”
The impatient Nam-woon shook his shoulder again, and Jin Hae-geon’s face showed a slight crack. Soon after, the closed eyes gently opened. The irises, brighter than most people’s, turned towards Nam-woon, and then the scabbed lips twitched.
“Hoo… Nam-woon, you came?”
Although he looked quite pitiful, Nam-woon didn’t care and shouted immediately.
“Are you crazy? Do you know Kwon Seoh? You don’t, right? Then why did you mess up the face of someone you don’t even know!”
Nam-woon kicked the IV stand in front of him.
Whether Nam-woon was angry or not, Hae-geon slowly raised his upper body. As he did, his bare upper body, which had been covered by the blanket, was revealed. When he bent his body, pressing his forehead with his palm as if he were dizzy, his perfectly sculpted muscles twitched. The man, who slightly frowned as if he were uncomfortable, grabbed Nam-woon’s arm in front of him and leaned his forehead against it.
“Nam-woon-ah, I want to go to the bathroom.”
“Cut the crap. Are you protesting because you’re hurt? Se-oh is hurt too.”
[Warning! Seok Nam-woon does not swear at Jin Hae-geon.]
Hae-geon lowered his legs off the couch and stood up. Then the blanket covering his body fell to the floor with a thud. Nam-woon lowered his gaze and muttered in shock.
“What the…this guy?”
[Final warning! Seok Nam-woon does not call Jin Hae-geon “this guy.”]
Jin Hae-geon was completely naked from top to bottom.
Seeing the enormous bouncing worm around underneath, Nam-woon desperately raised his eyes and fixed his gaze on Hae-geon’s shameless face. His p*nis was definitely half-erect.
“Why the hell is it standing?”
Hae-geon, whose face didn’t change a bit despite Nam-woon’s shock, sighed again as if he were tired and asked.
“Ugh… Why?”
“Why are all your clothes off?”
“It’s my house, so what? Nam-woon, I’m sick, so please could you help me c*m?”
At the word “cum” Nam-woon’s eyes went down again.
Crazy, am I the weird one? Why is it that Kwon Seo-oh and this guy all have d*cks the size of elephants.
“Oh, I think I’m going to c*m….”
Nam-woon took an involuntary step backward upon hearing Hae-geon’s whining. He wants me to help him, c*m? Is that what he’s saying to me right now? Just as he was about to ask if he was crazy, Nam-woon noticed the IV lines dangling loosely, not connected to Jin Hae-geon’s arm.
Seeing Nam-woon’s bewildered expression, Hae-geon burst into a clear laugh. It seemed like a heartfelt laugh.
“Haha! How did you know? That I was faking it?”
“He’s laughing…”
Nam-woon hadn’t believed it from the start, but seeing evidence of the lie right in front of him made it impossible not to be angry. Muttering darkly, he grabbed the IV stand tightly. He wanted to throw it at Jin Hae-geon but suppressed the urge, fearing a possible system warning. Instead, he yanked out the blood pack and threw it fiercely right next to Hae-geon’s side.
Hae-geon tilted his head to the side, his eyes widening in surprise.
“Why are you acting so cute today? You’re throwing a temper tantrum like you’re like a baby.”
“Don’t change the subject. Do you even know what state Se-oh is in? How hard did you hit him? He’s covered in bruises!”
“Nam-woon, I’ve got a broken rib.”
Hae-geon, who had moved close to Nam-woon, touched his ear as he spoke. An alert appeared, indicating that his experience points had increased by 3 from the ear contact. Nam-woon slapped Hae-geon’s hand away and shot a suspicious glance at the area near Hae-geon’s ribs.
“You look fine to me even down to your teeth.”
“It’s true. They said it was cracked, and I got hit more.”
“Good.”
Hae-geon stared at Nam-woon for a moment before sitting back down on the sofa. It seemed his earlier words about feeling like he was going c*m were a lie as he sat with his legs spread wide in an arrogant manner.
Nam-woon tried to look away from the huge d*ck with a strong presence and focused his gaze on Hae-geon’s face again.
As always, he had a faint smile on his lips.
“At school, you were squealing as if you were going to lick my d*ck.”
“I was surprised when you threatened Seo-oh by saying something like, I’m going to sue. Why? Picking a fight with someone who is just minding their own business and then… making a mess of their face?”
You fucking bastard. Nam-woon gritted his teeth and swallowed his curse. Hae-geon picked up his phone and tapped it idly, speaking in a calm voice.
“Don’t you know about self-defense?”
“I bet you said something crazy again to upset him. There’s no way that quiet kid would suddenly hit someone. He’s so anxious right now…”
Nam-woon stopped talking. There was no need to tell Hae-geon about Seo-oh’s unstable mental state after his father went missing again. He knew Hae-geon would just use it to manipulate him.
Since there was no point in talking to him anyway, it was better to just settle the lawsuit and leave. Nam-woon took a deep breath to calm himself down. Then, in a much calmer tone, he opened his mouth.
“Fine. I’ll destroy the contract we signed in the office last time, so don’t even mention the lawsuit again.”
He already knew that the contract was no longer valid, but it was the only card he could play right now. If he was lucky, Hae-geon might take the bait. It would be a win-win if he could exchange the lawsuit for the contract.
Hae-geon seemed to ponder for a moment before replying, “Oh, that.” He leaned back against the sofa, looking bored and arrogant. Then he idly tapped at the cracked screen of his phone. Unable to bear it any longer, Nam-woon snapped,
“Interest is piling up on that thing. You said your money line is cut off.”
“Getting beaten up has its perks. Grandpa gave me my credit card back without nagging.”
He then twisted his lips into a nasty grin.
“And that contract. I didn’t put my name on it. Even if you’re stupid, you should know to do something as simple as that when running an office. Are you stupid, Nam-woon?”
Calling me an idiot? Suddenly labeled as stupid, Nam-woon clamped his mouth shut.
So he knew, this bastard. The realization was a bitter pill to swallow, he had lost the only card he had.
