VDN Ch 31
by STAR“…Are you still in heat?”
At Nam-woon’s words, Seo-oh, who had been staring at the sink, turned his head slightly.
“What are you talking about?”
“Oh, no, nothing. But suddenly, why…?”
It was already awkward enough to be talking face-to-face with Kwon Seo-oh, but the word ‘underwear’ was so embarrassing it couldn’t properly leave his mouth. Seo-oh began to urge him.
“Quickly, take off your pants.”
“What.”
“Quickly.”
“Ah, no, I don’t want to.”
For some reason, Kwon Seo-oh, who had been lingering in front of the sink for a long time, seemed to make a decision and strode over, grabbing Nam-woon’s waistband. Nam-woon’s violent resistance caused the plastic bottles of rice, which had been placed nearby, to fall like dominoes, one after another.
Thump, thump, thump, thump, thump!
“…….”
At the noise, Se-han frowned as if he might wake up. They both stopped moving and quietly watched Se-han. When the child’s breathing became even again, they lowered their voices and argued.
“Are you crazy? Why are you curious about other people’s underwear?!”
“I’m not curious, I’m just checking for a moment.”
“It’s the same thing.”
“Just stay still for a bit.”
“Put the knife down before you talk!”
Seo-oh, holding a knife stained with reddish liquid, grabbed Nam-woon’s waistband and yanked it forward, helplessly revealing Nam-woon’s underwear.
“…Striped, huh?” Seo-oh murmured lowly. Nam-woon tried hard to calm his pounding heart. Good thing I changed!
At dawn, after an accidental encounter with the old man from the “Namnam Supermarket,” Nam-woon went straight to the store and bought new underwear. He had sweated a lot, and the thought that Seo-oh might remember his old underwear led to this action.
“It’s so strange. It’s not even dawn yet, why are you suddenly buying underwear?”
“Can’t I buy underwear?”
“Who said you couldn’t? Thirty thousand won a pair!’
After haggling back and forth with the old man, he bought the underwear for five thousand won and put them on immediately. Looking at it now, it was an excellent choice. Nam-woon quickly pulled up his grabbed waistband and said
“You perverted bastard. Happy now?”
“Tacky.”
“Hey, what about your underwear? Why am I the only one showing? You take off your pants too.”
Nam-woon glared at Seo-oh’s pants, but when he suddenly saw the thick bulge in his crotch without it even needing to stand up, he immediately changed his mind.
“Ah, never mind. You don’t have to take them off.”
“I wasn’t going to.”
Seo-oh muttered quietly and returned to the sink.
That through bastard, checking his underwear first thing in the morning. But this time, Nam-woon was a step ahead. While struggling to pull up the stretched waistband, Seo-o-oh asked,
“I didn’t do anything weird yesterday, did I?”
“…….”
Come to think of it, could he possibly…?
When Nam-woon remained silent for a while, Seo-oh turned his head slightly. Their gazes met unexpectedly. Nam-woon flinched, and at the same time, Seo-oh lowered his eyes to the floor.
“Anything weird? Like what?”
When Nam-woon asked, feigning ignorance, Seo-oh nervously stuck out his tongue to moisten his lips. Nam-woon’s gaze was fixed intently on that red tongue.
“Was I talking in my sleep or something like that?”
“No, nothing like that, why?”
“It’s nothing.”
“Did you have a dream yesterday?”
“…….”
Suspicion turned into certainty. Kwon Seo-oh doesn’t remember what happened yesterday! Nam-woon felt his heart pound with unexpected luck.
“You slept really well yesterday. You snored and ground your teeth.”
“I don’t snore or grind my teeth.”
Tears of relief flowed inwardly. The money-print underwear wasn’t discovered. He suppressed the urge to cheer with joy, trying not to show it, and thought,
Well, I’d probably be the same. How could rubbing lips, tongues, and dicks with a Hyung he disliked possibly be real?
Given Kwon Seo-oh’s personality, if he remembered everything, he might just drown himself in the sink. Moreover, he was forcibly put to sleep while not in his right mind, so it was even less likely for it to feel real. Nam-woon, relieved, suddenly went to Seo-oh’s side, took out a rice bowl from the drying rack, and asked,
“When did Se-han come in?”
“This morning.”
“Was he up late with his friends yesterday? Did he fall asleep right after coming in?”
“Yes. So we have to feed him lunch later.”
“Let’s save some rice for Se-han. Are you going to stir-fry the kimchi?”
As Nam-woon picked up a plate and moved closer, Seo-oh’s hand abruptly stopped. Nam-woon, unaware of this, asked once more if he was going to stir-fry kimchi. Seo-oh nodded and subtly moved a little further away from Nam-woon. Then he threw out an unexpected question.
“When was your first kiss, Hyung?”
Nam-woon was so startled for a moment that he dropped the plate. Just before it hit the floor, he quickly caught it, but his heart, which had dropped with a thud, was hard to catch.
“Why are you suddenly asking that?”
“I’m curious.”
“…I don’t want to say.”
“Tell me.”
Yesterday. But he couldn’t bring himself to answer and just mumbled with his lips. Nowadays, doesn’t everyone have their first kiss in high school?
“…High school.”
At Nam-woon’s hurried response, Seo-oh’s eyes gleamed with curiosity. Seo-oh stared at Nam-woon for a moment, then put all the kimchi on the cutting board into the frying pan and roughly turned on the gas stove with a clack, clack. Nam-woon, glancing at him and seeing his seemingly uncomfortable mood, cautiously opened his mouth.
“When was yours?”
“…….”
“I answered, why aren’t you answering?”
Seo-oh looked at the spatula in his hand as if it was very interesting, then blurted out,
“Kindergarten.”
“Huh?”
A moment later, Seo-oh continued,
“At a kindergarten birthday party, with the girl I took a picture with.”
“…….”
“…….”
“That’s just a kiss (on the cheek), isn’t it?”
Nam-woon realized. Kwon Seo-o: Kiss experience 0+ 25 since yesterday.
But wait. Nam-woon furrowed his brow. If yesterday was the first time, that didn’t make sense. Considering how Seo-oh’s kiss seemed very skillful, it was persistent, moist, and sticky.
Seo-oh stirred the kimchi like a madman. His powerful strokes sent kimchi flying, creating red streaks across the wallpaper and sink. Wielding the spatula as if he’d snap it, Seo-oh repeated his question.
“It’s the same thing.”
“Who was it with in high school?”
“Just someone I know.”
“Well, of course, it’d be someone you know. Do you kiss strangers, Hyung?”
Seo-oh relentlessly pressed him on what was meant to be a vague answer. Nam-woon was flustered by his unusual intensity when he heard a low voice.
“Hyung seems to do just fine with strangers.”
“That’s not it…”
Nam-woon was at a loss for how to respond and just stroked the back of his neck when Seo-oh asked in a tone that anyone would find offended.
“Then, when was the last time?”
“Can we stop talking about this now?”
“Just tell me this. Was it recent?”
Nam-woon neither affirmed nor denied, answering vaguely, “Maybe?”
Thunk.
Seo-oh threw the spatula into the sink and spun around to face Nam-woon. His handsome brows were deeply furrowed, reminding Nam-woon of his slightly deranged look from last night. Nam-woon instinctively stepped back.
“How does that make sense? You’ve been at our house for days.”
“Well, just because I was at your place doesn’t mean I didn’t go anywhere else.”
Nam-woon answered, looking down at his toes. When no voice was heard for a long time, he cautiously raised his eyes to see Seo-oh looking down at him, his gaze filled with a cold intensity. After flamboyantly stir-frying kimchi, Seo-oh had red kimchi juice on the corner of his mouth.
Nam-woon’s gaze was involuntarily drawn to it. The kimchi juice… next to Seo-oh’s well-formed lips
Thump, thump, thump.
In an instant, memories from yesterday floated to the surface. His heart began to race, and he felt a rush of heat throughout his body. Oh, this shouldn’t happen.
Quickly, Nam-woon grabbed his shirt and pants from the corner and stuffed some random items into his pockets. Seo-oh widened his eyes in surprise at Nam-woon’s sudden actions.
“Hey, I’m leaving.”
As he brushed past Seo-oh without saying a word, the dazzling sunlight flooded into the room. Seo-oh, surprised by the sudden action, followed after him. Nam-woon quickly slipped on his shoes and headed for the yard.
“What about breakfast?”
In response to Seo-oh’s shout from behind, Nam-woon replied,
“I’m not eating.”
Nam-woon was walking through the yard when he suddenly stopped. On the clothesline in the yard, a single pair of black boxer briefs hung.
“Huh?”
It was Kwon Seo-oh’s underwear.
“Hyung, why suddenly…?”
Nam-woon took his eyes off the clothesline and turned around at Seo-oh’s fading voice. Seo-oh, holding a spatula, stood tall at the doorway, looking at Nam-woon. His earlobes were flushed red.
Why are his ears so red, and why is his gaze like that?
Seo-oh looked like a pitiful protagonist in a tragedy story. Enough to make Nam-woon feel guilty about leaving without eating. In the end, Nam-woon walked back towards Seo-oh. As he reached his face and stretched out a hand, Seo-oh pulled back slightly, looking a little surprised.
Wipe.
Nam-woon’s thumb wiped away the red kimchi juice from the corner of Seo-oh’s mouth.
“…Kimchi on your mouth.”
Nam-woon turned his steps back towards the main gate, glancing at Seo-oh’s underwear.
I should buy a pair like that too.
The back of his head felt very hot, as if Kwon Seo-oh was still staring at him.
