GTAS Arc 1 Ch. 2
by camiJust as Gu Jinlin was pondering what items in the room he could use as a weapon, there was another loud bang from the door! However, this time the sound’s origin seemed to be more distant and not from the door of the room he was in.
“What are you doing here at this time and not being inside your dormitory?! Don’t give me the excuse that you’re studying here?! Renting a room in the hotel to study—do you treat me, your senior, as a fool? Do you guys think that it’s that easy to deceive me?! All of you, go outside and make yourself into a line!”
After a burst of panicked footsteps, a low and angry voice suddenly pierced through.
It was eerily quiet outside. The people who were teasing and laughing just a moment ago surprisingly did not dare make a response. Inside the room, Gu Jinlin couldn’t help but breathe out a sigh of relief. It was okay for him if he only had to deal with one person, but it was a different case if everyone outside gets involved. He’s afraid that it would be a fierce battle.
It’s not that he couldn’t handle it. How could a man personally admit that he couldn’t handle it?! It’s mainly because the body he was currently in could not handle it, not with these arms and legs being so slender.
At this moment, Gu Jinlin uncontrollably let out a soft groan before taking in a breath of cold air. But damn! As soon as he relaxed his body, he felt his whole body ache. He must have been beaten up because when he reached out and touched his face, he discovered an especially large swelling on his forehead.
Knock, knock. A knocking sound came from the door, followed by a deep masculine voice. “Is there still anyone inside? Come out now!”
Gu Jin Lin hadn’t made a move yet when the man identified as Brother Chen rolled directly from the bed and to the ground and struggled himself to crawl towards the door. As he attempted to reach out and twist the knob, he breathlessly pleaded for help. “Senior… save me.”
However, his voice was only as faint as a mosquito. He’s afraid that he’s the only one who could hear it. Even the sound of him turning the knob could not be considered loud!
With a “click,” the door opened. However, the person outside the door didn’t wait for Brother Chen’s reaction as he just directly kicked the door open, making a loud bang noise.
Now, poor Brother Chen who hadn’t even recovered from the pain he had received in his lower body and still had a pained expression, was struck hard in the face by the door panel. It immediately caused a stream of hot flow [1] to spurt out from his nose. He was in so much pain right now that he couldn’t even cry out for help…
Gu Jinlin subconsciously pulled the quilt next to him. The next second, the light in the room was turned on with a “snap.”
Gu Jinlin’s sight couldn’t adapt so easily from the glaring light. He could only slightly lower his head as he squinted his eyes and furrowed his brows.
“Senior… quick! Take me to the hospital. It hurts so much…” Brother Chen, who was lying on the ground, felt like he was on the verge of dying.
Hearing his pleas, Gu Jinlin raised his head and met the gaze of the tall man who had just broken in through the door.
The man had a slicked-back hairstyle, revealing his smooth and fair forehead. Beneath his sword-like eyebrows were deep, penetrating eyes. A pair of gold-rimmed glasses rested on the bridge of his nose, and his attractive lips were tightly pursed, indicating clear displeasure.
Dressed in a dark suit that covered him from head to toe, the man’s slender figure appeared even more upright. Only a portion of his fair neck was exposed.
Shifting his gaze to the man’s face, Gu Jin Lin noticed that the man’s eyes were fixed on his shoulder, unblinking. Following that gaze, he lowered his head and then made a light sound, pulling up the blanket to cover his bruised shoulder.
Then, he looked up at the man who was still standing there. He narrowed his attractive peach blossom eyes before coldly asking, “Senior, have you seen enough?”
[1] 一道热流 (yī dào rè liú): “a stream of hot flow.” Describes a sudden and intense sensation of heat or warmth emanating from a particular source. In this case, it likely refers to blood or some other fluid that has been forcibly expelled from the nose due to the impact.
