GTAS Arc 1 Ch. 8

Shen Liyu followed behind Song Qihan as they walked out. He slightly furrowed his brows, speculating in his heart as to why Song Qihan wanted to see him.

Just as they turned the corner, they ran into a teacher.

“Qihan, the principal just notified us that there’s a meeting. If you don’t have anything urgent, you should go and attend. Professor Liu, who retired, is also here. I thought that since he was your mentor before, maybe it would be good for you two to catch up.”

Professor Liu was Song Qihan’s class teacher when he was still attending classes in this school before; and it was Professor Liu’s encouragement that had enabled Song Qihan to persist in academic research until now.

Song Qihan nodded and then said in a deep voice to the teacher who kindly reminded him, “Alright. I’ll go in a moment.”

The teacher, seeing Shen Liyu following behind Song Qihan, understood what was going on. He nodded in acknowledgment before quickly heading towards the meeting room.

Shen Liyu then followed Song Qihan to the teachers’ office. Since all the teachers were at the meeting, and the school bell had just rung, the entire office was empty and quiet.

Song Qihan sat down. He stretched out his fingers to loosen his neatly tied tie, revealing the delicate collar bone hiding underneath his shirt. Behind his lenses, his eyes were full of depth. The sharp and handsome features of his face were now looking more exceptionally serious. He took out a new math test paper and then removed a pen from the pocket of his dark suit jacket, handing those items to Shen Liyu as he spoke in a solemn tone.

“Sit next to me and answer this test paper.”

Seeing that Song Qihan only asked him to do the test paper, Shen Liyu didn’t refuse. He moved a plastic stool next to him and sat down beside Song Qihan. Taking the pen from Song Qihan’s hand, he silently began to work on the test paper.

For a moment, the only sounds that could be heard in the office were the tapping of keyboards by Song Qihan and the scribbling calculation by Shen Liyu. Somehow, it made the atmosphere feel more exceptionally quiet and a bit tense.

“Senior Song, I’m done with the test paper.” Shen Liyu handed the completed test paper to Song Qihan, his voice soft and gentle.

Upon hearing Shen Liyu’s soft voice, Song Qihan’s fingers tapping on the keyboard paused slightly. He pursed his thin lips. Silently swallowing his saliva, he subtly stretched out his legs before crossing his right leg over his left one. He then leaned slightly closer to him, reaching out his large hand to take Shen Liyu’s paper and skim through it.

After comparing it with the correct answers, Song Qihan found that all of Shen Liyu’s answers were correct. Moreover, Shen Liyu was sitting right there, so it was impossible for him to cheat. Then why were all of Shen Liyu’s answers wrong during the weekly examination?

Song Qihan’s handsome face turned cold. He reached out to flip through Shen Liyu’s weekly test paper, placing the two papers side by side on the desk. Then, with a serious tone, he asked, “All the questions you answered on the test paper just now are correct, but all of your answers on the weekly test paper are wrong. Now, explain to me as to why you intentionally answered the questions wrong before?”

Upon hearing this, a glint flashed in Shen Liyu’s beautiful peach blossom eyes. It seemed that he had overlooked something…

Then when he raised his head again, a “pitiful” expression appeared on his fair face. Seeing Shen Liyu’s expression, Song Qihan felt a bit reluctant to blame him…

“Because I wanted to get your attention. Actually what happened last night is also a part of my plan to get your attention… This is the actual truth.”

Song Qihan was stunned when he heard this. “What are you talking about?”

Shen Liyu curved his beautiful peach blossom eyes. He leaned forward until he was face to face with Song Qihan, their noses only a few centimeters apart. He smiled as he spoke.

“Because I like you, Senior Song~ Have you never noticed it? I’ve silently liked you since the first time I saw you at school!”

It was reasonable for a junior to admire their senior who had achieved a lot and be acknowledged by their university. The only difference was that Shen Liyu boldly confessed it to Song Qihan in person. He could only explain the “fact” and intentionally answer the questions wrong in this way to make everything seem reasonable…

But soon, Shen Liyu’s expression became the same as Song Qihan’s. Both of them showed a shocked expression as if unable to believe it. Because at this moment, the voice of System  Little Six echoed in Shen Liyu’s mind.
