“Beep, beep, beep…”

Hearing the unanswered tone from his phone, Song Qihan furrowed his brows, the deep eyes behind his lenses darkening. Since yesterday, when Yuan Feng came to tell him that Shen Liyu had urgent matters at home and had already gone home, it had been a day and a night. “Principal, did you need something from me?” Song Qihan stood upright and directly asked.

Li Mingde, sitting in his chair, smiled at Song Qihan and said, “Ah, Qihan, come in, come in. It’s nothing urgent, just a private chat with you.”

Song Qihan raised an eyebrow upon hearing this. He had already guessed the reason for the summons. He politely declined, “No, Principal, I have to prepare the draft for my speech.”

Li Mingde’s smile stiffened for a moment. Before he could speak, Li Chen jumped down from the desk and glared at Song Qihan, saying, “Song Qihan, you think you can steal something from me and get away with it? Dream on!”

Li Mingde was horrified. His son had used such forceful means to obtain someone. If this matter were exposed, not only would his son be unable to escape punishment, but even his position as principal, which he had worked so hard to obtain, would be lost!

Meanwhile, outside the principal’s office, Li Xian stood hesitating whether to enter. Suddenly, the door was pulled open from inside, and she saw Song Qihan, who was about to leave.

Li Xian only managed to hear this sentence before Song Qihan shut the door behind him with a swift motion. Then, she heard Song Qihan’s low, magnetic voice, still as pleasant as ever.

Li Chen had deliberately set his phone to ring, hoping to receive a call from that despicable person. Song Qihan had kept his phone’s ringtone on in anticipation of that call.
