I walked into the house after returning from a flight to London and found Han Jae-yi tapping away at his laptop on the dining room table. He wore a serious expression, even sporting blue-light glasses for eye protection.

When I walked into the living room, he looked at me and took a bite out of the apple next to him. Dressed very comfortably and without socks, he continued to bite into the apple, which seemed to be his first meal.

“Is London still the same arrogant, ridiculous place?”

“Yeah, pretty much. Are you working?”

    “As you can see.”

    “How’s it going?”

In response to my question, he took off his glasses and leaned back.

“A company called Shangguang Commodities set up a three-employee sales office in Düsseldorf and got caught by the tax office. They were depositing ten thousand euros a month in salaries. What do you think?”

    “Uh… to pay for a son’s education?”

“Exactly. You figured it out right away, but they must’ve thought they could get away with such sloppy work.”

“So you’re cleaning up after them? Poor Han Jae-yi, how far you’ve fallen.”

“It hurts. Don’t make fun of me.”

I leaned in and kissed him comfortingly. His lips tasted like apples. I considered saying more but decided to head to the bathroom for a shower. I quickly cleaned up and changed into comfortable clothes. I had originally planned to come back and spend every second of my time with Han Jae-yi, but I was very tired now. No one would blame me for getting some sleep first, I thought as I shook out my damp hair and laid down on the couch, closing my eyes.

I could hear the quiet tapping of his laptop. It felt good to have a constant signal that someone was home. The right amount of noise can be very relaxing. The sound of him biting into the apple was pleasant too. Han Jae-yi’s daily noises lulled me to sleep like a lullaby.

When I opened my eyes again, the TV was on. At some point, I ended up with my head on his lap. My gaze wandered to the TV screen, where a documentary seemed to be playing. I turned my head to look at Han Jae, who was resting his chin on his hand, watching me.

His eyes silently met mine, and a smile spread across his face. Oh, it was heaven to come home. The ordinary routine of being with someone you love felt like paradise.

    “You slept for four hours.”

There was no hint of resentment in his tone.

“It was a long flight. It’s surprising, though. I didn’t wake up in the middle.”

“You must’ve been tired. Want a massage?”

He awkwardly massaged my shoulders and neck. His touch was more arousing than relaxing, so I had to stop him before things escalated. His hand dropped from my shoulder and rested warmly on my stomach.

“Are you hungry, should I cook something?”

    “It’s okay.”

“Shall we go for a drive then?”

“What’s with you? Did you turn into a genie?”

    “If you want.”

The TV’s sound mixed seamlessly into our conversation. I slowly pulled myself up, moving my neck from side to side to steady my stiffened body. I straightened my head and turned my gaze out the window. The sun is still moderately high in the afternoon, and I have plenty of time.

“I have three days off starting tomorrow. I’m planning to spend the next 24 hours with you. What do you want to do? Just say it; I’ll do anything.”

At that, one of Han Jae-yi’s eyebrows rose, turning into a curious expression. He propped his chin on his hand and lightly tapped his lips with his pinky, deep in thought. After a moment, he picked up the remote, turned off the TV, and looked at me silently.

I knew that look well. It meant he was about to suggest something utterly crazy and was wondering if I’d regret it.

    “Just say it.”

“I want to spend all three days having sex with you. Let’s roll around in bed, eating when we’re hungry and sleeping when we’re tired, indulging only in our basic human desires. We’ll keep our movements minimal and won’t leave the room. No TV, no phones—just focus on me. Because that’s what I want.”

I laughed. It was so typical of Han Jae-yi, that I wasn’t even surprised. Besides, it didn’t seem like a bad deal for me. I nodded and pulled him in for a kiss to start immediately.

    “Not here.”

He stopped me from kissing him, making a condition.

“Let’s go to a hotel. I want to make a mess without having to clean up afterward.”

Looking into Han Jae-yi’s eyes, brimming with desire, I thought, why not go to a really expensive hotel? Let’s pick a place frequented by the most elegant people in Seoul, indulge in our primal urges, and then come back.

We’re paying to get rid of our mess. It’s nothing unusual these days. Wild desires that can’t be recycled should be buried or burned away. We were up for some madness after a long time.

    * * *

“I’d like to stay for three days.”

Han Jae-yi sat stiffly in a chair at the counter dedicated to hotel memberships. I sat down next to him, hinting that we were in a group. The hotel manager smiled as he checked his membership.

“Can I get you a twin bed?”

    “No, a queen-size double bed.”

I laughed at his slightly arrogant interruption. The manager, still smiling, continued, “Would you also like to book a meeting room?”

“No, we’re just going to sleep.”

Two adult men checked into a hotel; they probably thought we were a project team here for an all-night work session. The manager’s smile faded slightly as he turned to the monitor to find a room. At that moment, Han Jae-yi added the final touch.

    “I’ll take the suite, please.”

He tapped impatiently on the mahogany desk with the credit card in his hand, mimicking a scene from a Korean soap opera he’d stumbled across one day.

    “Okay.”

Armed with the spirit of service, the manager took the card from him without a hitch. Han Jae-yi nodded arrogantly when the manager asked him if he would agree to pay for three nights. He must be really enjoying the role-play.

As I took the key and headed for the elevator, I asked.

    “Are you having fun?”

“Yeah. It was kind of nice. Did you not like it?”

“Well, it was kind of funny. It felt like I was selling myself.”

“Do you want to? I’ve got plenty of money.”

He put his arm around my waist, uselessly trying to make out. I stepped into the elevator, imagining the look on the manager’s face as he watched us from behind. Two men in suits reflected in the elevator mirror—dressed a bit too sharply for people coming to dump garbage.

The elevator smoothly opened at the top floor. It was dinner time, but we decided to order room service instead of going to the restaurant. We ordered the most expensive items from the land and the rarest from the sea.

The hotel staff began setting up tables in the lounge area. Through the large windows, I could see the Han River in all directions. The sun was setting, so the light in the room was just right.

I was sitting on a leather-covered couch, staring at the bustling staff, and Han Jae-yi was leaning back in his chair with his feet up on his desk, looking at me. We didn’t speak, and there was silence in the vast room.

The staff member laying the linen on the table seemed uncomfortable. I could tell from his expression that he was anxious to get out. When he finished and was about to go, I intercepted him and handed him a tip, asking him to expedite the meal. I personally opened the door to let him out, and he left with an awkward smile, promising to do his best.

I don’t know if it was the effort or the money I tipped, but the meal arrived quite quickly. Han Jae-yi and I sat opposite each other, picking up our knives and mercilessly cutting into our favorite main dishes. Neither of us had any interest in salad.

“I have a confession to make.”

    “Go ahead.”

I cut into the meat oozing with blood, placed it on some mashed potatoes, and put it in my mouth without much enthusiasm. I was listening without much expectation, wondering what odd thing he was going to say this time.

“I once peeked at you while you were showering. Well, not so much peeked as my gaze accidentally fell on you, and I couldn’t help but stare. It was supposed to be a secret I’d take to my grave, but my conscience is pricking me, so I’m telling you today.”

    “When was this?”

“I don’t know. I think it was about 3-4 years ago at your apartment. I kept thinking about it even after I got home. It was the first time I thought a man’s body could be sexy.”

He spread a generous amount of dill butter cream on a toasted baguette, topped it with sturgeon caviar, and took a bite. Seeming to like it, he made another one and handed it to me.

“Why did you suddenly think of that?”

I rinsed my mouth with red wine before tasting the food he gave me. It was excellent. I finished the rest and wiped my dry mouth with a napkin. Han Jae-yi rested his chin on his hand, watching me as I ate.

“I guess imagining you undressing later triggered a chain reaction.”

I was still chewing on the caviar. Unable to speak to respond, I remained silent. I thought something along the lines of, “I guess he’s planning on getting naked today.”

“Why imagine it in advance when you’ll see it soon enough?”

I drank some water and wiped my mouth again. I waved my hand to stop him from making another one for me. Instead, I passed him my main dish. I pulled the salad bowl towards me and poured all the vinaigrette dressing over it. As I put the dripping romaine lettuce in my mouth, I listened to what he was saying.

“I think it’s about maximizing anticipation. There’s also a sense of superiority in knowing that this man sitting across from me, elegantly dining, will be moaning with the most erotic expression in the world in about an hour.”

Han Jae-yi’s table manners were terrible.

“Do we really have to talk about this while eating?”

“What’s wrong with it? They say appetite and libido are connected. Apparently, the central nervous systems responsible for them are close together. For women, it’s closer to the part that handles satiety, so they feel sexual desire when they’re full. That’s why when dating a woman, you always need to feed her first. On the other hand, for men, it’s closer to the part that feels hunger, so they feel more sexual desire when they’re hungry. For proper sex, you should keep a man a bit hungry.”

“Then why are we eating in advance?”

“Because I think I might do something reckless to you if we start without eating.”

He said this while slowly cutting into his meat. Even knowing that I was fixing my gaze on him, he didn’t stop using his knife. While Han Jae-yi was filling his stomach with expensive cuts of meat worth hundreds of thousands of won, not wanting to do something reckless, I gulped down my wine.

It seemed like he was lying. His eyes clearly showed that he had come with the intention of doing something reckless.

Manners disappeared from the table. We ignored the dishes composed of expensive and fancy ingredients. As plates piled up, mashed, and disheveled, I started to get bored. At some point, we stopped eating. Han Jae-yi asked if I was done eating. I replied that I thought so, more or less.

While he called the front desk to clear the table, I downed the last of the wine. I had been continuously drinking water and wine, feeling like something was stuck in my throat.

Han Jae-yi had clearly declared that he wouldn’t do anything reckless, but to me, it sounded like he was saying to be prepared because he might. Or was it a warning not to provoke him because he wanted to be reckless but was holding back? I stood up from my seat.

The evening sun was casting a soft light into the spacious hotel room, and through the drawn curtains, the view of the Han River could be seen. I sat on the desk, slightly lower than my waist, contemplating the scenery. It seemed that Han Jae-yi wanted to establish his position clearly, that is, he wanted to be the one embracing rather than being embraced.

Of course, penetration isn’t necessarily required in s3x between men, but I knew that it was the most widely used act for a partner’s satisfaction. As he said, is this just a matter of preference?

I too instinctively have the desire to penetrate somewhere. However, I didn’t want to see Han Jae-yi moaning beneath me. Conversely, it seemed like that’s exactly what he wanted to see of me. Was this the manifestation of the “desire to break down” that he had always talked about?

Around that time, a hotel staff member came up and knocked on the door. Unlike before when he was alone, he now had a young staff member with him. They quickly cleared away the food and table set up in the middle of the lounge.

The suite was composed of two rooms and a lounge, one being a bedroom and the other like a study room. Han Jae-yi was in the bathroom, and I was still sitting on the desk with my arms crossed, gazing out the window.

    “Enjoy your time.”

They left with these meaningful words. Although it was probably a routine phrase, it felt a bit awkward in my current situation. Just earlier, I had even joked about proudly selling my body, but now I was acting distracted like a herbivore left in a tiger’s den. As if denying the reality that I would soon be devoured.

Han Jae-yi came out of the bathroom, shaking his wet hands. He looked at me while unhesitatingly unbuttoning his shirt.

Was he going to do it right now? Just moments ago, there were strangers here. I still couldn’t move, feeling anxious that the hotel staff might knock on the door again at any moment.

Each step Han Jae-yi took toward me echoed in my head like the drumbeats announcing the start of a war. The smooth contours of his chest were revealed inside his fully unbuttoned shirt. As he approached me closely, examining me, I threw out a meaningless question.

    “…Right now?”

“Is there anything else you want to do? I don’t.”

Though he was asking for my opinion in words, it was a unilateral announcement. He meant he would do what he wanted regardless of my will.

Han Jae-yi arbitrarily removed my cufflinks, took off my watch, and placed it on the desk. Then he loosened my belt, making my pants slack, and undid my shirt buttons and tie that had been fastened up to my neck.

He grabbed my waist and forcefully pressed his lower body against mine. As if it had been his from birth, he recklessly unbuttoned my shirt and sucked on my n1pple.

    “Ah…”

Without even a kiss, Han Jae-yi’s f0replay began abruptly, and I unconsciously gripped the edge of the desk tighter. A tingling excitement pen3trated my dried-out senses. I bit my lip, not wanting to make strange noises alone in this wide-open space.

His t0ngue, which had been toying with the tip of my n1pple, left a long trail as it licked my chest. Slowly and leisurely, as if savoring the taste, he put his lips on every corner and bit my skin.

Everywhere his t0ngue passed turned red, and as the intensity gradually increased, moans escaped my lips. I grabbed his hair as it slowly moved upwards, craving a kiss. But he wouldn’t give me his face. Han Jae-yi, who had been burying his lips along the line where my ear and neck met, bared his teeth and bit my nape.

    “Hah!”

As he heard my voice, somewhere between pain and excitement, he svcked on my earlobe and whispered.

“It might hurt a bit today.”

Before I could comprehend what he meant, his tongue pushed into my mouth. After messily swirling around once, he wrapped around my t0ngue and svcked it into his own mouth. He tasted and l1cked my t0ngue that was svcked in with a force that felt like it might pull it out by the roots. Then he inserted his t0ngue once more, ravaging every corner of my gums and palate as if marking his territory, and bit my lower lip.

Simultaneously, he was undoing the buckle of my pants and slipping his hand inside my underwear. My half-er3ct d1ck was captured in his hand. I barely managed to stop him and tried to persuade Han Jae-yi.

“Haa… Wait. Let’s go to the bedroom.”

“Why? I like doing it standing up too.”

To him, who was trying to arbitrarily grip and shake my d1ck without removing his hand, I spoke again.

“…There’s something I want to do too.”

At this, Han Jae-yi’s eyes changed. They held a mix of curiosity, excitement, and anticipation.

“Is it something we need to do on the bed?”

    “Yes.”
