    Chapter Index

Why did it happen as soon as I opened my mouth after I had held on so strongly? I couldn’t even sigh because I was so tired, so I wasn’t even annoyed. I took a handkerchief from my pocket calmly, covered my nose, and laid out wet tissues and plastic bags from my backpack on the desk.

I’m at a loss for what to do when the story gets serious. What did I do? I got a nosebleed yet again. I grumbled as I meticulously wiped the blood from my philtrum, lips, and chin with a wet tissue. I checked my face one last time in the mirror, disposed of the blood-stained wad of tissue paper, tossed it into the bag, and washed my hands.

“We’ll start by making a group chat room.”

    “…”

    “…”

    “…”

Let’s raise our heads feeling proud of the perfect tidying up.  Everyone in the room, from the professor to the other students, was staring at me. Everyone has a stunned expression on their face.

    “Are you all right?”

    “Yes. I’m fine.”

Since the attention was too much for me, I said it firmly. I thought it was done quickly, but it appears that it was not. I have to do it in 3 seconds the next time. The professor didn’t say anything else because I said I was fine, but he couldn’t take his gaze away from me and made a worried expression as he pointed out the location of the university’s infirmary.

He is a good person. Originally, my world had many good people, but there were also many good people here, so I didn’t feel bad. Anyway, I didn’t want to draw attention to myself, but it was difficult when things turned out this way. The only thing I noticed was the girls staring at me and whispering. It’s understandable to be taken aback by the sudden appearance of blood, but it was especially difficult for me because I wanted to get to school quietly.

    “That… ”

Kim Young-ji pursed her lips as if trying to think of something to say, but nothing came out. She seemed very surprised. It was worth the shock because there was a lot of blood spilled. Woo Ji-min, who was debating Kang Moo-hyun, was also surprised.

It was Kang Moo-hyun who first opened his mouth and asked worriedly.

“Are you okay? It looks like you lost a lot of blood.”

    “I’m okay.”

“Aren’t you supposed to go to the infirmary right now?”

It wasn’t just empty words, but a genuine concern. Nonetheless, it doesn’t sound very nice, and I felt uncomfortable because I know how Kang Moo-hyun is. Kang Moo-hyun drew a smooth arc around his mouth as I stared at him in silence.

Kang Moo-hyun, a man with words as sweet as sugar on his tongue.

A dog-like bastard who doesn’t mind doing troublesome things for profit.

A creepy human who acts and wears a mask as if breathing.

Woo Ji-min defined Kang Moo-hyun that way. In fact, even though I had read all of Kang Moo-hyun’s atrocities, I was perplexed when I saw his flawless acting. He was a junior, so he didn’t know him well, but he didn’t appear to be a bad guy because he looked really worried.

“No. It’s just… It’s because my nose bone is weak.”

Does your nose bleed easily if your bones are weak? I don’t know. Well, I was just trying to gloss over it anyway, so it didn’t matter. I secretly looked at the main characters while listening to the old professor explain the topic and order of the presentation in a slow voice. Wouldn’t the development be twisted over something so insignificant? The main character’s story will not be altered simply because one of the supporting characters is sick…

After the lecture, the professor approached me again with a worried expression, patted me on the shoulder, told me to look after myself, and then left. The other students who were getting up one by one most likely noticed it and continued to look at me and whisper until they left the classroom. Universities don’t give students good grades simply because they were in the eyes of the teacher, as they were in high school, but it seemed like everyone was nervous about a minor interest, possibly because they were all first-year students.

“As Seung-won said earlier, let’s exchange numbers first.”

    “…”

Woo Ji-min made an unhappy face as he looked at the phone Kang Moo-hyun was holding out, then abruptly extended his hand to me.

“You, give me your phone number.”

The main character wants it. Of course, I have to. I quickly took out my phone and handed it to Woo Ji-min. Woo Ji-min quickly turned his back after he quickly gave his number.

“All right? Make the group chat yourself.”

    “Yes. Goodbye, Sunbae-nim.”

I kept a calm expression on my face and lowered my head. I clamped my teeth tightly against the mouth that was about to smile. Number! Woo Ji-number phone min’s since the beginning! My face was stiff, but my mind was already at the festival site.

Woo Ji-min walked past Kang Moo-hyun without noticing my joy, which he could do immediately if I pretended to die because of his trivial actions. He walks out of the classroom without looking back. Kang Moo-hyun, who had been following him, gave me a casual glance before standing up with a smile on his face.

“Young-ji, you have my number, right? Can you invite me to the group chat?”

    “Ah, yes. Okay!”

“Okay. Then see you next time.”

Kang Moo-hyun stood up and smiled as he said goodbye to Kim Young-ji. He appeared to be ignoring me, or was it just my feeling?

Kang Moo-hyun walked out of the classroom a little faster. He must be chasing after Woo Ji-min.   I actually wanted to follow him. I wanted to see with my own eyes if the two of them were moving as I thought, just to put my mind at ease. But what will I learn if I go? Even though I don’t remember every scene…

I mean, this doesn’t mean I lost my memory on purpose; it just means I forgot a little bit. I enjoy reading books, but because this book’s genre is such a genre, it was more hazy because I was forced to read it quickly. Because this world is about those two people, there shouldn’t be any problems if they stick together.

“Seo Seung-won, are you coming to the opening meeting on Friday?”

Kim Young-ji suddenly asked while exchanging numbers to make a group chat room.

“I have to go. I’ve been missing out all this time, but I don’t want to be out of the opening meeting.”

    “Ah, I see. Hehe.”

Kim Young-ji smiled broadly as if she had heard a funny joke.

“Hey, do you have class next?”

    “No.”

“Really? Then, the other students and I were supposed to meet at a cafe, do you want to go too? You haven’t met the other students yet, have you?”

    “That’s true, but…”

“Let’s go. Hmm? You haven’t even said hello to the other students yet.”

Kim Young-ji raised her head and smiled brightly when I finally said that I would go after some thought. Kim Young-ji, who had raised her head so quickly that her neck hurt, laughed. Kim Young-ji said something unexpected and chattered with a bright face when I smiled.

“We already decided on the student rep… Oh, there’s a first-year group chat, but you weren’t there? I’ll invite you now. But why didn’t you come to OT?”

“Oh… I thought it was okay not to go.”

    “Well. It wasn’t a must.”

When we arrived at the cafe, we were greeted by 8 classmates, both men and women. It was also quite fresh. The first-year students tend to hang out together. We don’t know each other very well yet, but if we notice a tendency to hang out together, we’ll soon form a group. Then, even if you have a reason for wanting to go outside, you won’t be sorry.

There were no strange circles, just nice guys. I was relieved to see that no one had forgotten about me and was concerned about my well-being. Woo Ji-min has never had issues with his juniors, so there will be no problem.

The boy who introduced himself as the student rep looked at my complexion and opened his mouth.

“I was really surprised earlier. Still, the person who spilled blood must have been the most surprised.”

“Don’t mind it. It’s like this sometimes.”

“Uh… I’m more worried if you say that…”

The student rep had a personality that everyone got along well with. It wasn’t a big deal, but he kept worrying about me and even being nice to me. I was initially worried because the student rep was supposed to be Seo Seung-won, but I was relieved that this type of guy was the student rep. I gave up on being the student rep because it wasn’t a particularly important setting for the story to progress.

I’m not sure if it’s in part 2, but Seo Seung-won wasn’t that important in part 1, so I wasn’t too concerned. Woo Ji-min disliked Seo Seung-won because he was a student representative. I had no regrets, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t worried. Naturally, I’m worried. No matter how trivial it is, it’s still changing the settings.

But what worried me more than that was that as I became the student rep, I met a lot of extras, made connections, and caused problems as a result. I was never able to perfectly imitate Seo Seung-won, so I tried to be as self-respecting as possible when it comes to human relationships.

In the first place, Seo Seung-won was a burden to me. He was so conscientious, nice, and kind that all good words refer to him. Of course, because he is such a person, he could have become the junior that the fussy Woo Ji-min admires.

Several students from the same group project sat together, reading the syllabus and chatting.

“What do you intend to do with the group project? When should we start? There’s still plenty of time, let’s take it slow.”

“No, let’s just get it done quickly. Because the subject is difficult, it will take some time.”

“Right. Isn’t this a difficult subject? It’s only freshman year, but it’s already too much.”

The grumbling guys holding their heads looked at Kim Young-ji and sobbed.

“Young-ji, you must be happy. You’re with a third-year senior. On top of that, it’s senior  Kang Moo-hyun. I’ve thought about it before, but I think that senior is really no joke.  How can he be so handsome?”

“Right. But who is the person next to him? Is he also a first-year student? I thought he was a celebrity. You will be a squid if you are next to senior Kang Moo-hyun, but Seung-won also survives well.”

Suddenly, my colleagues’ gazes shifted from Kim Young-ji to me. The classmates poked the side of the adorable Kim Young-ji and laughed awkwardly but meaningfully.
