“Yan Yuzhou, did you deliberately let an omega come and stay in my house?” Shen Ci continued to question in an imposing manner.

Yan Yuzhou stood awkwardly in place, thinking to himself that whether he admitted it or not was irrelevant at this moment. He had only crossed over for a day, how could he know what his previous self had done?

This laugh actually melted some of the frost in Shen Ci’s eyes.

Yan Yuhe stabilized his body, and adjusted his appearance, his face alternating between red and white due to Shen Ci’s avoidance and Yan Yuzhou’s laughter. He  was momentarily speechless, and it took him several seconds to hurriedly retort, “You’re only able to marry Mr. Shen because your pheromones match his, otherwise, do you think with your looks, Mr. Shen would even look at you?”

Yan Yuzhou really didn’t expect his younger brother to be such a sharp-tongued and emotionally clueless guy. He silently cursed Lin Xiaoguo in his heart, still wearing a fake smile, and pretended to be helpless, Oh, that’s still better than someone like you whose pheromones don’t even match.”

“Yan Yuzhou!” Yan Yuhe was completely provoked by him, jumped in front of Yan Yuzhou, pointed his finger at Yan Yuzhou’s face, and said aggressively, “No wonder you did everything to stop me from coming the day before yesterday. It seemed that Yan Yuhe’s words just now had some effect, at least letting Shen Ci know that he didn’t encourage his younger brother to come and seduce him together.

Thinking of this, the burden in Yan Yuzhou’s heart lessened a lot. When Yan Yuzhou was suddenly pushed by Yan Yuhe without any preparation, his entire body was almost knocked backward by the force of the push.

Not having time to react, he instinctively closed his eyes, preparing for the dull pain of the back of his head hitting the ground. Suddenly, his whole body was enveloped in a wide embrace. Following that was a faint yet piercing fragrance of cold snow that seeped into his nostrils.

Yan Yuzhou realized that Shen Ci had caught him.

Almost instantly, Shen Ci caught him from behind, helped him up, steadied his figure, then released the hand holding his arm after a moment and stood a little farther away from him.

Yan Yuzhou silently pondered in his heart. It was Shen Ci who had been extremely sarcastic towards him, but also Shen Ci who had come to his rescue in a crucial moment, only to avoid him like a snake or scorpion afterward immediately.

This alpha truly made his emotions complicated.

After he steadied himself, he softly thanked Shen Ci, who was instinctively standing a yard away from him. Just as he locked eyes with the envy-filled face of Yan Yuhe, he heard Shen Ci, with a very impolite tone, tell Yan Yuhe, “Get out of my house immediately.”
