MWMM Chapter 48: If I Bite Them Myself, Will He Cry?
by justmistyAt dawn, Yan Yuzhou woke up in a heavy embrace. He discovered, to his surprise, that he was curled up against Shen Ci’s neck in a clinging, dependent posture. Both of their blankets had been thrown off, and his pajama top had somehow been left wide open.
The original four or five buttons were now reduced to just one, hanging on symbolically, while the other four had somehow come undone at some point, exposing his milk-white skin. Shen Ci’s hand, as if deliberately testing his patience, was resting inside his shirt, wrapped around his waist.
Yan Yuzhou felt a burning sensation on his waist and, almost reflexively, flung Shen Ci’s hand away before leaping off the bed.
The moment Shen Ci opened his eyes, Yan Yuzhou bolted, vanishing like smoke as he dashed back to his own room.
Left alone in bed, Shen Ci lay there, his gaze crystal clear. He flexed the hand that had just been holding Yan Yuzhou’s waist and let a satisfied smile curl the corner of his lips.
The texture? Perfect.
Because of his heat period, Yan Yuzhou took three days off from school. The school administration seemed to be aware of Yan Yuzhou and Shen Ci’s relationship; when Yan Yuzhou requested leave, the counselor was excessively respectful over the phone, even fussing over him with concern for quite a while.
Xiao Mu also sent a few WeChat messages, cheerfully asking how he was coping with his heat. Naturally, he didn’t forget to jokingly inquire if Yan Yuzhou’s kidneys were still holding up.
Yan Yuzhou really wanted to shout to the world that he and Shen Ci did not have that kind of physical relationship. Uh, though… he had let Shen Ci bite him a few times. But still… this kind of arrangement was bound to end sooner or later.
“What are you doing, biting your own lips like that?”
Lost in thought, Yan Yuzhou was suddenly pulled back to reality by Shen Ci’s question.
“N-nothing.” He stammered, flustered, and buried his head in his breakfast, practically wanting to sink into his bowl.
After finishing his meal, as if venting his frustration, he bit his lips a few more times. His already moist lips turned even redder, the vibrant color making it hard for Shen Ci to look away.
Such tender lips… If I bite them myself, will he cry?
It was the weekend, so there was no need to go to the company. Yan Yuzhou had initially thought the two of them would return to their respective rooms to handle their own matters after breakfast. Unexpectedly, Shen Ci stood up, grabbed his car keys, and said, “Change your clothes, we’re going out.”
“Out… for what?” Yan Yuzhou asked, puzzled.
Shen Ci raised an eyebrow. “Following the doctor’s advice, we’re practicing… dating.”
Yan Yuzhou: !!! This is a situation I’ve never experienced before.
Even though he was filled with unease, Yan Yuzhou still changed his clothes and followed Shen Ci out the door. When their driver, Xiao Wang, pulled into the parking lot of a high-end shopping mall, it was just as the stores were opening at 10 a.m.
As Yan Yuzhou stepped out of the car and closed the door, Shen Ci, who had already exited from the other side, came around and stood beside him. Then, under the eyes of bystanders, Shen Ci reached out, took one of Yan Yuzhou’s hands, and clasped it boldly in his own.
Instinctively, Yan Yuzhou’s first reaction was to pull his hand back.
However, despite his efforts, he failed. Shen Ci seemed to anticipate the resistance and had gripped his hand tightly from the moment he took it, leaving Yan Yuzhou no room to retreat.
With his hand firmly held, Yan Yuzhou was led toward the elevators. A crowd had already gathered there. Shen Ci, being tall and exceptionally charismatic, naturally drew attention the moment he approached. Those gazes inevitably swept over Yan Yuzhou as well.
Shen Ci is so popular, while I’m weak and ordinary. With this thought, the hand Shen Ci held became even more uncomfortable for Yan Yuzhou, as if it were a hot potato. He could feel the envious and jealous stares from various omegas, and they only made him more self-conscious.
Using his free hand, Yan Yuzhou lightly tugged at Shen Ci’s sleeve. When Shen Ci glanced at him, he leaned closer and quietly whispered in a voice only the two of them could hear, “Mr. Shen, let go.”
Shen Ci’s expression darkened at his words. Instead of letting go, his eyes gleamed, and he released Yan Yuzhou’s hand—only to slide his arm around his shoulders instead. In full view of the onlookers, he pulled Yan Yuzhou close with a slight force, causing Yan Yuzhou’s head, which was a full head shorter than his, to bump into his chest.
The surrounding crowd collectively gasped. The sound carried a mix of envy, admiration, and even raw jealousy.
In that moment, every omega present wished they could trade places with the seemingly unremarkable Yan Yuzhou.
Forced to take a deep breath of the pine-scented fragrance from Shen Ci’s body, Yan Yuzhou flushed as he pulled back from his chest. Too embarrassed to say another word, he lowered his head and let Shen Ci guide him into the elevator with his arm still draped around his shoulders.
Fine. For the sake of advancing medical research, I’ll endure this.
The elevator stopped on the 12th floor. Only after stepping out did Yan Yuzhou realize this floor specialized in jewelry.
In his previous world, Yan Yuzhou had been an average citizen with modest means. He rarely visited places like this, and now the sight of the dazzling gold and silver pieces, glittering and sparkling under the lights, almost blinded him.
The sales associate, upon seeing the two of them, naturally came forward to greet them. She gave a respectful bow and led this potential big spender to the ring section.
Yan Yuzhou’s heart skipped a beat. Instinctively, he looked up at Shen Ci, who still had an arm around him, hesitating to speak. He wanted to ask—why was Shen Ci bringing him to the ring section?
“Which style would Mr. Shen and Mrs. Shen prefer?” The sales associate enthusiastically introduced the rings to Shen Ci, her tone warm and welcoming. “These here are some of our newest designs, and their symbolism is all about happiness and harmony. If you both like, you can try them on.”
As she spoke, the sales associate also showered compliments on Yan Yuzhou, who was tightly held in Shen Ci’s embrace. “Mrs. Shen, you’re naturally beautiful, and your fingers are long and elegant—rings would look stunning on you. Mr. Shen is so caring toward you; you’re truly blessed.”
The corner of Yan Yuzhou’s mouth twitched as he rolled his eyes at the sales associate, silently thinking, All this nonsense just to sell a ring? But before he could react further, a chuckle from Shen Ci reached his ears.
“That’s right,” Shen Ci said with a warm tone that made Yan Yuzhou’s heart inexplicably race. “I also think my wife’s fingers would look lovely with a ring.”
Under Yan Yuzhou’s panicked gaze, Shen Ci gently took his hand and lightly rubbed the pad of his thumb over Yan Yuzhou’s middle finger. His expression was serious and focused, as though he were handling a priceless treasure.
Yan Yuzhou hesitated, subtly trying to pull his hand back. Then, nervously, he whispered to Shen Ci, “Mr. Shen, we don’t need rings, do we? After all, they don’t really help with our condition.”
Shen Ci’s brows furrowed slightly, a flash of something unidentifiable passing through his eyes. He cast a cool glance at Yan Yuzhou and uttered one sentence:
“I happen to think adding some feelings might speed up the recovery.”
Startled, Yan Yuzhou froze for a moment, turning over Shen Ci’s words in his mind. His heart began pounding wildly again.
Did Mr. Shen mean… he was planning to develop real feelings for him?
In the end, Shen Ci chose a pair of rings. Without asking for them to be packaged, he directly slid one onto Yan Yuzhou’s middle finger with domineering decisiveness, completely ignoring Yan Yuzhou’s opinion.
Yan Yuzhou stared speechlessly at Shen Ci’s forceful actions, inwardly grumbling but ultimately too intimidated to protest.
After purchasing the rings, Shen Ci was in a fantastic mood. Holding Yan Yuzhou’s newly ring-adorned hand, he cheerfully led him toward the clothing section.
As soon as they stepped out of the elevator on the 15th floor, they ran into someone.
Yan Yuzhou recognized her—it was the sweet, adorable girl with the caramel candy scent they’d encountered on campus. Her name, like her scent, was Su Xintang.
Su Xintang was carrying a few shopping bags, clearly just finishing a shopping spree. When she saw Shen Ci and Yan Yuzhou stepping out of the elevator hand-in-hand, the clear look in her eyes instantly turned into one of shock and anger.
She stomped over in her high heels, fuming as she blocked their path. Glaring at the innocent-looking Yan Yuzhou, she shouted furiously:
“Vixen! Who allowed you to cling to my Brother Shen Ci?”
