MWMM Chapter 55: Haven’t Practiced for Half a Month, Have You?
by justmistyYan Yuzhou recounted to Shen Ci the incident where Yan Yuhe had come to his house that day to borrow an inhibitor.
It was blatantly obvious—Yan Yuhe was clearly trying to drag Yan Yuzhou down with him in a mutual destruction scheme.
What he hadn’t expected, however, was that Shen Ci had the ability to mobilize the hospital’s best doctors and equipment in record time to repair Yan Yuzhou’s gland.
In the end, Yan Yuhe had miscalculated—his efforts were all in vain, like drawing water with a sieve. At the same time, he now faced consequences from which he could hardly escape.
Shen Ci, first and foremost, would never let him off the hook.
That bottle of inhibitor was the key piece of evidence—it wasn’t the original one that belonged to Yan Yuzhou.
Under the pretense of going to the bathroom to spray the inhibitor, Yan Yuhe had secretly switched the original bottle with an identical one he had prepared in advance.
With identical packaging, who would have noticed that Yan Yuhe had swapped the bottles?
Now, Yan Yuzhou finally understood why, before leaving, Yan Yuhe had worn that eerie, shadowed smile.
At that moment, Yan Yuhe had probably been certain that this would utterly ruin him.
The thought sent a chill down Yan Yuzhou’s spine.
“What are you thinking about?”
Shen Ci wrapped his arms around him from behind, his warm laughter brushing against his ear. Then, with a touch of tenderness, he pressed a light kiss to the spot where Yan Yuzhou’s gland was.
The bandages were long gone. Now, all that was needed was a bit of daily medication, and the once-grotesque wound had healed by ninety percent, restoring its original smooth and flawless state.
Yet, Shen Ci only kissed the spot gently. He couldn’t bring himself to bite down, his heart aching too much at the thought.
Yan Yuzhou gently reminded him, “Mr. Shen, my injury is healed.”
It was an invitation—one that Shen Ci understood all too well.
But he restrained his impulses. Seeing the last remnants of scabs still fading, he forced himself to hold back.
“No rush.”
With a gentle cradle in his arms, Shen Ci placed Yan Yuzhou softly onto the edge of the bed. Then, with a casual flick of his hand, he turned off the lights.
The room plunged into darkness.
Shen Ci leaned over, embracing Yan Yuzhou, who had gone completely soft and obedient in his arms, making his heart even more of a mess.
His fingers massaged the area around Yan Yuzhou’s gland. The doctor had told him that doing this would help dissolve the lingering bruising, allowing the wound to heal faster and more thoroughly.
“We’ll wait until it’s fully healed,” Shen Ci murmured. “Zhouzhou, I don’t want you to be in pain.”
Like a docile little cat, Yan Yuzhou let himself be handled as Shen Ci pleased. He rested his head against Shen Ci’s chest, listening to the strong, steady heartbeat beneath, feeling an overwhelming sense of peace.
Never before had he thought that a man could give him such an intense feeling of security.
A man this perfect… could only exist in books, right?
For a fleeting moment, Yan Yuzhou didn’t want to return to the real world at all.
If only he could spend a lifetime being spoiled by Mr. Shen like this.
—
Yan Yuzhou rested for half a month, and at last, his wound had completely healed.
During this time, Xiao Mu had called him, letting him know that he had moved out of the dormitory and into an apartment Han Yun had arranged for him.
Xiao Mu was preparing for his debut and had been caught up in intense training—singing, dancing, and even a crash course in acting. Every day was packed, and when Yan Yuzhou heard his voice over the phone, it was filled with exhaustion.
With Xiao Mu moving out, the school informed Yan Yuzhou that a student had applied for on-campus housing and had been assigned to his dormitory.
After finishing his classes for the day, Yan Yuzhou returned to the dorm to pack up his things. Now that his relationship with Shen Ci had reached this point, there was no longer any need to use dorm life as an excuse to avoid seeing him.
As he pushed open the door, a baby-faced young man appeared inside the room.
Yan Yuzhou thought to himself—his new roommate was an adorable boy.
“Hello, are you Yan Yuzhou?” The new roommate stepped forward and extended his hand warmly. “I’m your new roommate, Wen Er.”
Yan Yuzhou smiled, reaching out to shake his hand. “Hello, Wen Er.”
After tidying up his belongings, the two exchanged contact information but didn’t chat much further before Yan Yuzhou’s phone rang.
It was the driver, Xiao Wang—he was already waiting downstairs.
Bidding farewell to his new roommate, Yan Yuzhou quickly headed down.
The moment he got into the car and saw Shen Ci sitting in the backseat waiting for him, his mood lifted instantly, and he couldn’t help but grin.
Shen Ci naturally pulled Yan Yuzhou into his embrace, inhaling deeply at the nape of his neck. His touch was both tender and indulgent.
“I’ve arranged a follow-up examination for you today. Dr. Fan is waiting at home.”
Yan Yuzhou nodded, instinctively touching his gland. The smooth sensation beneath his fingertips reassured him. Relaxing again, he buried himself back into Shen Ci’s arms and spoke in a soft, almost coquettish tone, “Mr. Shen, thank you.”
Later, Dr. Fan had told him how, while he was being resuscitated inside, Shen Ci had been outside, gripping the doctor’s collar with terrifying intensity, demanding that they save him no matter what.
“Thank me?” Shen Ci’s eyes glinted as he spoke slowly, his tone perfectly serious. “Oh, then give the Shen family an heir.”
One sentence.
And just like that, Yan Yuzhou bolted out of Shen Ci’s embrace in shock.
“H-Have a child?” he stammered, his brain going blank. His face twisted into a mournful expression as if the sky had come crashing down.
The omega life in this world was way too hard.
Getting bitten was already bad enough—now he had to give birth too?!
Shen Ci raised an eyebrow, completely unfazed by Yan Yuzhou’s reaction. He remained as composed as ever. “Yes. It’s also been Grandfather’s long-time wish. What, do you have a problem with that?”
“N-No, absolutely not,” Yan Yuzhou stammered, forcing out words that went against every fiber of his being.
But in his heart, he was already crying.
He had heard childbirth was insanely painful.
“Oh.” Shen Ci took in his crumpled expression, barely holding back a laugh. Maintaining his serious facade, he continued his deception. “So, in preparation for pregnancy, we should find an opportunity to complete the full marking.”
Yan Yuzhou: !!!
Wait, what?!
Things were moving this fast?!
Was this how it all ended for him—a once proud, iron-willed straight man, now reduced to a delicate, submissive omega?!
Wuwuwu… wuwuwu…
Yan Yuzhou felt like he really was about to cry for real this time.
“Alright, look at you, scared out of your wits.”
Shen Ci finally couldn’t hold back and let out a low chuckle.
Yan Yuzhou lifted his gaze, only to see the mischief dancing in Shen Ci’s eyes. There was no trace of the serious, deep-in-thought expression from moments ago.
So this terrible man had been teasing him all along!
Ahhhhhhh! So infuriating! But there was nothing he could do about it!
“But Zhouzhou,” Shen Ci suddenly turned serious again, a dangerous glint flashing in his eyes. “Don’t you think things between us have been a little… too tame lately? It’s been half a month… since we last practiced, hasn’t it?”
Yan Yuzhou blinked, feigning ignorance. “P-Practiced what?”
Shen Ci acted as if he were deep in thought. Then, with a slow, amused smile, he leaned in closer, his voice unhurried and deliberate—yet it sent Yan Yuzhou’s nerves on high alert.
He heard Shen Ci say—
“We agreed on practicing French kissing a long time ago. But I don’t think… we’ve actually done it even once yet.”
“You know, you can’t just talk about it and not do it…”
“For the progress and development of medical science, don’t you think it’s our duty to make such a noble sacrifice?”
“So, Zhouzhou—are you going to take the initiative this time, or should I?”
“Why so quiet? If you don’t say anything… I’m going to take the lead.”
The next moment, from the backseat of the car, Yan Yuzhou let out a bewildered “Mmph…!”
