MWMM Chapter 95: Dare to Get Amnesia at a Time Like This
by justmistyAs long as he was with Shen Ci, it didn’t matter which world Yan Yuzhou was in.
What gnawed at him was that at the very end of that world, there had been a new life growing in his belly. Even though he had always resisted the idea of having children, that didn’t mean he could turn a blind eye to such a vivid, living existence and pretend it had never been there.
All the more so because he didn’t want Shen Ci to be without a child. He wanted to go back.
“As long as I’m with you, whether we have a child or not doesn’t matter,” Shen Ci said as he toyed with Yan Yuzhou’s fingers, raising the back of his hand to his lips for a gentle kiss, ignoring the desire in Yan Yuzhou’s heart to return.
Even hearing those words, Yan Yuzhou still felt regret on Shen Ci’s behalf. He didn’t even notice what Shen Ci was doing, just muttered to himself for a while, “I wonder what happened to my billion yuan…”
“Little Rose, you really are obsessed with money.” Shen Ci suddenly lunged at him, pinning him down, his focus completely on Yan Yuzhou’s body.
“I’m obsessed with money, and you’re just a beast,” Yan Yuzhou finally noticed—somehow, without even realizing it, Shen Ci had already stripped most of his clothes off. The realization startled him.
Shen Ci replied solemnly, “Baby, for the advancement of medical science, we should run a test—see whether an alpha and a man, two beings from different worlds, can actually ***.”
The last coherent thought Yan Yuzhou had before being completely overwhelmed was: I’d rather transmigrate back. He’d rather give birth to a child for Shen Ci than go along with something so shameless disguised as medical research…
Then, to his utter disbelief, a single persistent thought in his mind actually did send him back.
As if he’d never returned to the real world at all. When he woke up, he was still wondering why the whole room smelled like roses, and why there was such a warm, cozy feeling in the air.
Only when he gently lifted Shen Ci’s sleeping arm wrapped tightly around him and looked around the room did he realize—they were lying in the master bedroom of Shen Ci’s villa.
This realization made him cry out in excitement. Clapping a hand over his mouth to stifle his glee, he turned to look at Shen Ci, who had been woken by his sudden shout.
Shen Ci opened his eyes, a brief flicker of confusion passing through his gaze. When he realized that both he and Yan Yuzhou were lying here stark naked, a flash of surprise and puzzlement lit his eyes. Before he could speak, the excited little figure in front of him suddenly lunged into his arms.
“Honey, we’re back!” Yan Yuzhou couldn’t remember ever being this happy in his twenty-something years of life. He threw himself into Shen Ci’s arms, burying his nose in his scent and inhaling greedily. That warm, comforting scent was overwhelming—it felt like basking in sunlight, and it made his whole body melt with contentment. “Hubby, I’m so happy.”
After speaking, Yan Yuzhou pulled away from Shen Ci’s embrace. His eyes sparkled as he looked at Shen Ci’s handsome face, then leaned in and gave him a sweet kiss, grinning brightly afterward.
Shen Ci stiffened instantly at the sudden kiss. His eyes, sharp as blades, locked onto the bold and reckless omega before him. The lingering scent of roses in the air made him momentarily lose focus—but only for a second. He quickly regained composure, reached out, and pinched the omega’s chin, slowly drawing closer. His expression was cold and sharp, completely at odds with the warmth in the room.
Yan Yuzhou thought Shen Ci’s reaction was incredibly strange. He went limp in Shen Ci’s grip, blinking innocently and acting coy. “Hubby, what’s wrong? Aren’t you happy we’re back? Or are you… so happy you’re speechless?”
The moment those words left his mouth, he felt Shen Ci’s grip on his chin tighten—enough to make him cry out in pain. “Ow, hubby, that hurts~”
Totally confused, Yan Yuzhou was just about to reach for Shen Ci when he suddenly heard the man in front of him speak, his voice icy enough to freeze the air.
“Yan Yuzhou, who gave you permission to get in my bed?”
Eh?
Yan Yuzhou froze, stunned by the question. He stared blankly at Shen Ci’s face—his expression cold as ice, with no warmth in his eyes at all. Scratching his head in bewilderment, he asked, “Hubby, what’s wrong with you?”
“Our prenuptial agreement—I expect you to follow it to the letter. Don’t think that just because you schemed your way into my bed, I’ll actually do anything with you. I won’t mark you, and I’ll never fall in love with you. What I hate most in this world… is omegas like you.”
Yan Yuzhou was dumbfounded. The Shen Ci in front of him felt both painfully familiar and utterly foreign. It was like he’d been thrown back to the very beginning—the very first moment he had transmigrated into this world.
After saying his piece, Shen Ci abruptly let go of his chin, pulled away, and got out of bed. The first thing he did was head straight for the bathroom. Just before shutting the door, he turned and said coldly, without a trace of warmth in his voice, “Before I come out of the bathroom, I expect Mr. Yan to leave my bedroom of his own accord.”
Then slam—the bathroom door shut hard, the sound reverberating in the air, giving Yan Yuzhou a start.
That was when it hit him—he had transmigrated back completely intact. But Shen Ci… for some unknown reason, seemed broken.
This cold, arrogant demeanor was exactly the same as when they had first met.
And so, when Shen Ci came out of the shower, the first thing he saw was Yan Yuzhou still sitting blankly on the bed, making no move to leave. His eyes narrowed instantly, brimming with displeasure.
“Still here? Trying to get my attention? Don’t waste your time—I have zero interest in you.” Shen Ci’s face was full of disdain. He walked over to the wardrobe and opened it, seemingly to grab a shirt. Just as he reached for one, Yan Yuzhou noticed his hand suddenly freeze midair, his entire expression shifting into stunned disbelief.
“You took it upon yourself to put clothes in my closet?” Shen Ci suddenly turned to glare at him, eyes sharp as blades, filled with the kind of disgust one would have for a conniving social climber.
Yan Yuzhou rolled his eyes, completely naked, and got out of bed just like that. He walked over to Shen Ci’s side, feeling how the man’s body tensed up instantly in revulsion and vigilance at his approach. A pang shot through his chest, but he still forced a wide smile to his lips. Under Shen Ci’s deeply furrowed brow, he opened his mouth and spoke.
“Mr. Shen, it was clearly you last night who stripped off all my clothes, begged me to experience pure ecstasy with you, and told me you wanted to make me feel good.
You not only did it with me—you kept praising my figure, saying my skin was soft, and my pheromones smelled sweet. You said all that yourself. Have you forgotten already?
If you don’t believe me, feel free to check the trash can by the door—there are three used condoms in there. And on the nightstand, see that? A nearly empty bottle of lube. You were the one who poured it into your hand and used it on my body.
It was you, Mr. Shen, who relentlessly pursued me, who said no one else would do, who was utterly obsessed with me. And now you’re flipping the script and pretending I forced myself on you? What are you trying to prove? That you’re just some scumbag who does the deed but won’t own up to it afterward?”
Finishing his words, Yan Yuzhou didn’t bother looking at Shen Ci’s reaction. He turned on his heel and headed toward the bathroom to shower.
Just before closing the door, he flashed a cheerful smile at the man standing by the wardrobe with a stormy expression and added, “Oh, right. You must’ve forgotten—last night, we did it once in the bathroom too.”
Then slam—the bathroom door shut with a bang. As it clicked into place, Yan Yuzhou bit down hard on his lip.
He placed a hand gently over his lower abdomen. If nothing went wrong, there should already be a tiny life growing inside him.
That damned alpha—daring to get amnesia at a time like this? Was he really planning to pull up his pants and leave, abandoning him after taking everything?
T/N: Oh another day, another trouble. That’s how I feel right now.. sob*
