MWMM Chapter 105: Epilogue – A Whole Shen Ci
by justmistyAfter giving birth, Yan Yuzhou’s long-forgotten heat period, absent throughout the pregnancy, arrived right on schedule.
Perhaps the long months of pregnancy had made him forget about the heat cycle altogether, but Yan Yuzhou showed not even the basic awareness an Omega should have, completely forgetting to preemptively inject himself with suppressants.
So when the heat hit him out of nowhere, he was utterly unprepared. A familiar wave of dizziness started in his brain and quickly spread, leaving his whole body weak and limp.
He handed the baby in his arms over to the confinement nanny, asked Sister Song to notify Shen Ci, and then locked himself in the bedroom.
In this house, apart from him and Shen Ci, everyone else was a Beta—immune to the effects of his pheromones. But he didn’t want anyone else, other than Shen Ci, to witness the seductive state he entered during his heat.
Even as he struggled to endure it, Yan Yuzhou still found the mind space to count how many months it had been since Shen Ci last bit him. Just the thought sent his nape’s glandular nerves into a frenzy, pulsing wildly with anticipation.
Shen Ci rushed home. The moment he burst through the bedroom door, the heady scent of roses in full bloom stirred his blood.
He didn’t hesitate. Even though he had never marked Yan Yuzhou since losing his memory, his body moved with the certainty of muscle memory—offering no resistance to the moment. He completely enveloped Yan Yuzhou in his arms, brought him into position, and sank his teeth into the gland at his nape with fierce determination.
As the person in his arms trembled, pheromones poured out in a torrent, scattering like wildfire. Under the blazing sun, the roses bloomed ever more beautifully.
Almost the instant his teeth sank in, it was as if something clicked in Shen Ci’s soul. A door in his mind suddenly unlocked, and a flood of memories surged forth—scene after scene, one after another: how they initially couldn’t stand each other, their first marking under the guise of medical research, the second time, the third… misunderstandings, followed by heartfelt confessions.
Along the way, they endured Yan Yuzhou’s pheromone addiction and the painful detox, the surgery where he nearly tore out his own gland, and the later storm of pheromone mutations.
There was also the time Yan Yuzhou fell into a coma, the hospital issuing critical notices three times a day, Shen Ci’s overwhelming yearning during his susceptibility period, his reckless plunge into a river—and the strange twist of fate that brought him into Yan Yuzhou’s world, where he found his delicate wife on a beach, ready to end his life to join him in death.
And in that moment of temporary marking, everything came rushing back.
The memories from before, combined with every moment they had shared since his amnesia, deepened their bond immeasurably. Shen Ci’s eyes grew hot with emotion as he bit down even harder on the one beneath him.
Fate had played a cruel trick on them—making him miss his Omega’s entire pregnancy and childbirth.
But thankfully, fate also offered them a fitting reward: the chance to rediscover one another through trials and love, their connection deeper and more unbreakable than ever.
“Shen Ci… it hurts.”
The soft voice of his delicate little wife brought him back from his daze. He quickly loosened his jaw in a panic and gathered the limp man into his arms, gently and lovingly laying him down on the bed.
“Why were you so rough?” Yan Yuzhou chided with a hint of coyness, because Shen Ci had truly bitten him with reckless force just moments ago.
Shen Ci’s face was full of regret and apology. He took Yan Yuzhou’s hand to his lips, kissing it in soft, rapid succession, eyes brimming with affection.
“My little rose, you’ve suffered.”
Yan Yuzhou, who had been physically drained after the wave of heat had finally passed, suddenly opened his eyes wide upon hearing those words.
His gaze was filled with disbelief. Trembling, he asked, “What… did you just call me?”
Shen Ci smiled indulgently, kissing from the back of his hand to his lips, then planting soft pecks on his face, eyes brimming with love.
“My little rose. It’s me. I’m back.”
The Whole Shen Ci Had Truly Returned.
The memories from before and those formed after the amnesia had merged, forming a complete Shen Ci—one who doted on his Omega with reckless abandon.
All the spoiling plans he’d put on hold due to his memory loss were now fully back in motion—only more intense and over-the-top than before.
“President Shen, we successfully acquired that plot of land.”
“Good. Cover it entirely with rose fields. Also, open a flower shop there.”
“President Shen, Madam will be coming to intern in photography at the company this afternoon.”
“Reschedule all my meetings. And during that time, if anyone calls, tell them I’m unavailable.”
“President Shen, about the Maldives three-day romantic suite getaway…”
“Three days is too short—make it a week. Romantic suite? Hm, I like that.”
“Understood, President Shen. Any other instructions?”
“On February 14th, Valentine’s Day, book out the entire Wenjing Grand Hotel. I’m going to propose.”
February 14th.
Yan Yuzhou remembered the date very clearly. Two years ago on this day, he had been so busy at the flower shop he nearly passed out from exhaustion. When he finally got home, he had only managed to glance at a novel titled “The Indifferent Mr. Marked Me” before collapsing into bed.
When he woke up the next morning—February 15th—he found himself inside the book.
He had once thought that his straight-guy nature would never change—but two years later, somehow, this man named Shen Ci had turned him into a coiled mosquito incense, and he’d even willingly borne him a baby.
Looking back… the world was truly full of surprises.
“Assistant Liang, what exactly does Shen Ci want me here for?”
Yan Yuzhou followed Liang Xin into the Wenjing Grand Hotel, completely puzzled. He had just been at home coaxing their child when Liang Xin showed up at the door—along with a makeup artist, a stylist, and a full outfit. After they were done dressing him up, Driver Xiao Wang brought him straight to this place.
When he asked around, everyone simply told him that President Shen wanted him to attend a wedding. But as far as he could recall, Shen Ci hadn’t mentioned any recent weddings among the business elite.
Still full of confusion, he stepped into the hotel lobby. But instead of the lively atmosphere of guests mingling and glasses clinking, the lobby was quiet—eerily so. It was even a bit dim, not at all like the setting for a grand event.
Suddenly, the crystal chandeliers on the ceiling lit up in waves, starting from where Yan Yuzhou stood and rippling outward like concentric circles.
Within moments, the entire lobby was bathed in warm, brilliant light. As he glanced around at the décor, Yan Yuzhou instinctively covered his mouth in astonishment.
The entire space had been transformed into a rose-themed wonderland. Rose vines adorned the walls, table ornaments, and potted arrangements.
Petals spread beneath his feet, layered and arranged into a pathway of roses—a romantic visual feast.
The rich scent of roses in the air heightened the dreamlike atmosphere.
And then—Shen Ci appeared at the far end of the rose path.
Dressed in a bespoke suit, his face full of tenderness and affection, he walked step by step toward Yan Yuzhou.
Yan Yuzhou’s heart began to pound uncontrollably, his eyes heating up with unshed tears.
Soon, Shen Ci came to a stop in front of him. Then, to Yan Yuzhou’s surprise, he dropped to one knee and, like a magician, conjured a velvet jewelry box from behind his back.
When the box was opened, nestled inside was a diamond ring dazzling enough to blind the eye.
And in that instant, it all clicked—so this was the wedding everyone had been referring to. He wasn’t just attending a wedding; he was the one getting married.
Dressed to the nines… for his own wedding.
“Zhouzhou,” the man kneeling before him began, “I’m so sorry for the time when I lost my memory. For all the pain it caused you—there’s no way I can fully make up for it.”
“Thank you… for loving me, whether I remembered you or not.”
“We’ve been married for two years, but I never gave you a proper wedding. Today, let this ring be the beginning of everything I owe you. From now on, I want to spend every single day with you. Will you… spend the rest of your life with me?”
Tears shimmered in Yan Yuzhou’s eyes as he reached out a hand to Shen Ci. Watching Shen Ci gently slide the ring onto his finger, he beamed with happiness.
“I do.”
Among countless roses, to hold just one close to the heart—is enough.
