Liev responded, turning his gaze as if it were no big deal.

    “Yes, this is fine.”

“That… seems alright. But don’t do everything by yourself! It’s our job, after all!”

It was lighter than a wooden box. When he was at the research center, if a severely ill creature with a bad condition that couldn’t even walk came into the lab, no matter how much it was aided by machines or wheels, it was always Liev’s responsibility to handle and move it. In addition, when administering medication or treatment, he had to subdue the animals, so his physical strength was surprisingly good.

Of course, I’m not as strong as a trained knight.

Therefore, when Liev lifted a weight that would make an average adult man struggle, everyone had a look of surprise on their faces. With or without saying it, Liev used his sharp eyes to efficiently deal with the tasks.

If you remove this side, the other side will collapse. So, moving it from the top, then this side, then that side, he rationally planned and dealt with each task to avoid overlapping with the other members’ movements. The task they thought might require them to stay up all night quickly came to an end.

“Liev! Leave the big ones to me, and you can handle the organizing.”

It was thanks to this dragon, who couldn’t bear for him to suffer slightly that Liev was able to focus on his work.

“This is fine. You go over there and help Lady Rowena.”

“No way. She’ll do fine on her own. Liev, don’t go too far when you can’t even use magic.”

He knew that his words were meant to show concern, but for some reason, it also hurt Liev’s pride. Of course, he knew that he couldn’t be as helpful as the other members, and he hadn’t joined the group just to be of assistance, but he didn’t want to be treated like a burden either. Even if others didn’t think that way, it didn’t make him feel any better. It was like a feeling of inferiority that he had felt since realizing his limitations as an extra.

However, as he was now joining the group as Renard’s ally, he didn’t want to be someone who couldn’t even help a single person. Even if it was just a stubborn insistence, he couldn’t help it.

“It’s okay. I’m not doing the impossible. I want to be someone useful to you.”

With that, Renard casually brushed off some dirt from Liev’s hair, which was already accumulated in dust, causing him to pout but secretly satisfied.

“Liev doesn’t have to do things like this.”

    “It’s because I want to.”

    “Then I’ll finish quickly!”

It wasn’t his intention, but thanks to the unexpected motivation he gave Renard, the work progressed quickly after that. They stacked up the rocks that had fallen from above, layer by layer, using strong construction dough to harden. The Lord approached from afar with a satisfied expression.

“Wow, it’s almost finished so quickly! You truly are amazing, as expected of the hero and their comrades. Thank you for your great existence as well.”

Until then, they must have only thought of him as something the dragon carried around. Liev seemed to not care either way, but the Lord’s attitude was completely different. They were then guided to luxurious rooms, and Liev and Renard naturally ended up sharing a room. Liev immediately started protesting.

“Excuse me, but could you prepare another guest room…?”

    “It’s not necessary!”

    “No, I need it!”

“There is no need to prepare. Don’t worry about it.”

    “Ugh?”

The lord, who was caught off guard by the lovers’ quarrel, looked at the members with an awkward expression. The warm and friendly lord tilted their heads and asked.

    “Whose words should I follow…?”

And it was obvious who the rest of the group would support in this difficult question.

    “Please follow Renard’s words.”

“Understood. Then, as Renard has requested, I will send a servant to guide you to breakfast tomorrow morning at the appropriate time.”

    “Ah, wait, hold on!”

Liev, whose opinion was immediately ignored by the Lord, furrowed his brows in protest.

“Hey, just stay still. I don’t want to sleep with you!”

The last sentence was whispered only to Renard in a hushed voice, but it couldn’t be helped that the other members of the group also heard it.

“Hmm. So do we need to prepare another room or not?”

When the worried Lord asked for confirmation again with a troubled expression, Albert quickly responded on behalf of him.

“One is enough. Then, Lord, please rest well, and we’ll see you tomorrow!”

    “Ah.”

With that, they hurriedly pushed the Lord away, fearing that Liev and Renard would start bickering again. Liev glared at Albert with a face full of dissatisfaction, but Albert turned his head away, pretending not to notice.

“Please only argue with each other in private.”

    “It’s not like that.”

“Really? It just seemed like a bad time to do it.”

Though Liev tried to explain in a hurry, no one seemed to pay attention. Sigrid even smiled with an expression that said, ‘It turned out well, didn’t it?’ It was decided. As expected, I have no one on my side. Finally, Liev made up his mind and sighed deeply, turning his head to the side.

“Alright, everyone, let’s disperse and meet at breakfast tomorrow. That’s the end!”

Albert, who had suddenly taken on the role of organizing the situation, dispersed the members in no time, so Liev no longer had any room to complain. It would seem unreasonable to go and protest to the Lord about using separate rooms. As the group of famous heroes who were known for their achievements, people were curious as to why Liev was suddenly on the expedition team. Because of this, Liev wasn’t willing to stand out.

“I didn’t even come here because I wanted to follow them.”

Though he felt wronged, it was already spilled water. In this situation, there was no choice but to continue to go along with everyone else at a similar level of childishness. He could only quietly remind himself of the determination in his heart.

“Alright, since we’re here, don’t cross over.”

As soon as Liev opened the door, he approached the two-person bed that was visible and began to make a long line with a thin sheet that seemed to be used as decoration. Then, he placed the sheet in the middle and accurately divided it into two parts before declaring it to Renard, who just snorted.

Then he suddenly stretched his arm up over the line, and Liev felt a pang in his stomach.

“You said you wanted to share the same room with me! So, while we’re sharing, shouldn’t you at least cooperate so I can rest comfortably while we’re sharing?”

“Just rest. Do you really need to divide this place into your land and my land?”

“It’s obvious that you won’t leave me alone!”

Liev angrily exclaimed, but Renard calmly responded with a relaxed expression on his face.

“It can’t be helped. Because Liev keeps tempting me with a pleasant smell, asking me to touch him.”

“What nonsense. You’re the one who keeps rushing at me!”

“That’s because I can’t stop thinking about Liev all day.”

This is not getting through to him. When Liev glared at him in anger again, Remard added with a determined look on his face.

    “Anyway, it’s your fault, Liev.”

He couldn’t understand what kind of lame excuse this was.

“How is it my fault? It’s just that you have no self-control.”

As always, Liev grumbled and took off his outer coat in frustration. But as he did, his body suddenly swayed, and he fell back onto the bed, his legs flailing in the air. The culprit was, of course, Renard. He laughed impishly, not showing any sign of remorse for knocking him down.

“Do you want to know what happens when I can’t control myself?”

At the same time, he smiled with his pretty face as if he were planning to enchant someone, but Liev reflexively covered his bright red face with the back of his hand and pushed Renard away. He struggled to push, to be precise.

    “Let’s go! I don’t want to know a thing!”

However, due to the vast difference in physical strength, no matter how much Liev struggled, it was useless. If Renard continued like this, peeling off his clothes and digging between his legs as if skinning a fish, there was nothing Liev could do to resist. At the moment when Liev swallowed dryly, feeling very nervous without realizing it, Renard lifted his hands in an exaggerated manner, as if surrendering, and moved away from Liev.

“But I won’t do that. This time, I’ll make you want me first.”

Where does that confidence come from? Instead of asking, Liev just stared at him, trembling.
